What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 540

I hope you’re all easing into early Autumn. I cant say I’m easing in, but hey, if it stays this busy, autumn and winter will be over in a jif and I will be back in my favourite season before I get the house clean! You can see more clearly that the missing door leads into another room now. The rubbish in there is totally down to the plumber and Mr Dunnit. The furniture comes out tomorrow - underfloor hefting to be put down over the weekend. Meanwhile..the mess on my desk is quite extraordinary. The lovely printed Arteza box contains self adhesive vinyl - me and my Scan N Cut are going to make some pressies. The alphabet at far left is remnant of a scrapbooking session over the weekend. The plaid paper on the iPad stand is still there. 15 sheets of it for a card marathon card. The brown paper bag contains gifts that you can’t see, but that I have to do something to, so onto my desk they go. Just below that and left of the mug of early coffee is a very old wedding photo. It’s practically black and white even though its been in an old fashioned album these last 34 years! We look like ghosts! Then there’s the usual detritus. Stencil paste...yep. I do do mixed media, just not a lot! So while I wade in and tidy up, please show me what you’re space reveals about you. As usual, put WOYWW in your post title and link your blog here!  Oh and please Polly, put the kettle on, it’ll stop we whining about tidy up time!

  2. Morning Julia. Great to see the extra room really taking shape - even if it needs to keep being emptied for the next bit of work - just keep your thoughts on the finished product:-) Great busy desk, too - lots going on there. Loving the box - gorgeous and bright on this dark morning.
    Take care. God bless.

  5. Morning Julia, had to rub my eyes a couple of times looking at your photo today seeing a table and chairs I couldn't quite work out if it was a reflection or a window. It's all taking shape very fast now.
We have similarities today, I've even a paper trimmer hiding on mine. Thought the paper bag may have been a take away hee hee... A nice pastry to go with your cuppa.
Off to put the kettle on now.. Happy WoywW Tracey 11 xx

  10. Funny you should mention wedding albums, we went out with the friends who came to Miami with us 30 years ago when we got married and they presented us with a wedding album that they had made up from the photos they took at the time. We howled laughing at our hair styles and how much we had or had not changed. It was a lovely gift and it also made us realise how much technology has changed since then

  11. Rushing in and saying 'hello'.
I have so many projects on the go at the moment, mainly outside, so if you ring the bell I won't hear it!!!
I can tell from your desk that you know exactly how it is!!
    Enjoy your week

  12. Hi Julia, lovely to have a wedding album! We have one, somewhere, lol. The vinyl paack looks a great buy, not tried working with that stuff yet. Artexa do seem to have a lot of products that are great value. Just waiting for the district nurse to come take some blood from me, then I'll actually get back to finishin the anniversary card. No panic, lol. Love and hugs, Shaz XxXx #7

  14. Hi Julia, well, well well! Most impressed at the progress, I’m guessing the room now in the background is going elsewhere or summat as scratching my head a bit as to where the craftroom might fit in there.. but all in good time, so you’ve a scan an’ cut, very interesting look forward to your reveal on that score as well, and that is one decent mug size! πŸ‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘
Daylight saving going for an hour at weekend, doesn’t mean am any earlier, am still usual late arrival here.
Happy WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #19

  15. Hi Julia, underfloor heating - how fabulous. Lovely colours on the Artezia box and I look forward to seeing what you do with the contents. Ditto the plaid paper. Those faded photos really do bring home the passing of time - it just seem strange when it's our photos, and not just the previous generations, that are faded. Enjoy the 'wade' in - I haven't even started on mine yet. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #20

  16. you have made me curious Julia ( my 30th anniversary is coming up on next Monday) so,I wonder what those photos look like, they are in an album that is in a box. ( to help keep the light off) anyways, I was looking at the arteza and thinking that is way big for pencils hahaha. ( which is what I have from them so) that is cool to learn they make other things.

  18. Hi Julia, I have been dropping in and visiting desks, just not had time to take part. I missed your last blog on the foam ... but it looks interesting stuff. The self adhesive vinyl looks quite handy for the Scan & Cut. I need to dust mine down and start using it! Have a lively week, Heather xx #28
