What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 534

This is scheduled for your viewing horror. Luckily, when I get home, I really do PLAN to tidy up. Unless somebody can come up with an alternative that isn’t housework, that is. Last week was a write off for me, I hope you’ll forgive. I’m battling an ongoing trapped nerve in my shoulder and some days are written off simply by doing the normal chores of day to day house-ness. I’ve got medical assistance now,(Mr Dunnit got tired of the yelps and bad tempered lack of sleep). So this weekend, I took part in an online crop and made a huge mess . It was great. Price to be paid....so much clearing up to do before month end! But, here’s something - some of you were involved without knowing it!
Ignore the wonky placement of the background words, I genuinely cannot do straight or even anymore. But I don’t much care. Scrapping Crop 10 made me smile. So I did another, unfinished for now....I have to put the story on it....there’s so much to say that it may well go on a separate sheet of paper clipped to the back of the LO, not sure yet.

The colours are stuffed up by a rubbish photographer, but you get the gist. Now sweet Desker, gimme the gist of your work space this week then, please. And by gist, I mean the hi-low, history and current, the what’s On, what’s In with you. Now that’s clear, see ya later.

  1. I am sorry about the trapped nerve, hope it frees up soon. I love the layouts - who needs straight anyway - and await the finished views soon. Don't have much gist for you but am joining in!

  2. Morning Julia. Ouch - trust the trapped nerve will soon find its way out of wherever it has got itself, and that you will feel much better. Phew! Thought I was the only person in the world who struggles with straight! Thank goodness I have a partner in crime. Good to be reminded of a fantastic day!!
Take care dear girl. God bless.

  3. As you can imagine, you have my sympathy re the rapped nerve. Hope you get it fixed quickly and not get into a mess like yours truly.
Love your LO's - as for wonky, well, I thought I was the Queen of Wonky so if I had been doing something like that the words would have purposely been wonkier than wonky. Just to make it look as if it was intentional. Get what I mean?
Have a good week and get that shoulder right - heat/ice/rest.
    Hugs, Neet 2 xx

  4. Take 2, dopey lost first comment!
Oh dear Julia.. Praying you find a good clinician who'll help you with your treatment of pinched nerve. Mrs A is badly affected by shoulder issues too. They hurt. I found my physio exercises helped with impinged movement of rotator cuff.. but ignorant on pinched nerves. Praying.
Feel do at home on your desk.. wonderful!
Love your LO too.. super images (yes pink is worst culprit to accurately reproduce in any photo!) And love esp crop words.. i love the arty layout and yes.. random positioning is in y'know! Apt words too. ❤
Happy WOYWW, and every blessing upon you dear Julia, Queenof WOYWW.

  5. Oh I feel for you with the trapped nerve Julia, it's the pins and needles that are doing me in, as the painkillers have things otherwise mostly under control. Love the crop layouts and don't care about wonkiness at all. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7

  12. Julia, I'm so sorry you are struggling with pain issues. Nerve problems are the very worst! I love your layouts and sigh thinking now I wish I could do that but Scrapbooking is just not for this old broad! I did some years ago but I was never good at it and always had such a mess with my whole craft room involved so I salute you and your abilities!

  16. Hi Julia, that must be painful, I somehow tore a tendon in my upper right arm at a COPD exercise class of all things, and recall how lifting anything, or reaching my arm up hurt like hell. Hope the medical assistance helps relieve it soon. Love the crop layout, didn't we have a fab time as always? Tidying up-
oh how I hate it, but clearly not enough to prevent me making an almighty mess again next time! Love & hugs, Shaz #4 XxXxXx

  17. Oh so sorry you are struggling with a trapped nerve - it's nasty isn't it. I hope it's not the weight of the tiara causing problems! Lovely LOs. Get well soon. xx Jo

  18. Ouch! Sorry to hear about the trapped nerve. Hope your medical assistance is easing it. I've been there and had to have a steroid injection - it's been as right as rain since. Two gorgeous layouts of The Crop. Summer seems to have gone by in no time at all thanks to the various cyber crops and online challenges and now it seems an age since we all got together. I've only just shed the last of that cake of my hips. I'm happily imagining you swanning round the house wearing your WOYWW crown :) Hugs, Elizabeth x #19

  24. Hi Julia -
Glad you managed to set aside the twin distractions of the horrible trapped nerve and the dreaded chores of day-to-day house-ness to do something lovely that made you smile. I can definitely relate to both the ouchiness and the house-ness at the moment, and agree that making something smileworthy is a real joy.
