What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 527

I had the whole day  off yesterday, out of the house, participating in a lovely luncheon. Great word that, luncheon. Elevates a chicken salad, doesn’t it. Anyway, whilst away, the mouse went mad...
Does it make it any better if I say that I had a card making session over the weekend and decided it was too hot to clear up? No, I know. Oh well. My morning coffee at far right. Looks like a cup of mud in this light. The two cards at the right under my glasses are both made by Tracey  They are in a pile of cards received that I refer to for inspiration. Colouring, images, placement, glitter, mounts, sentiments...all sorts of reasons. It’s a big stack of inspiration too. Nice. I had done a card involving a house stamp but I can’t show you how completely and utterly unlike any detail on Tracey’s cards it is. Because it’s in amongst all this somewhere. I suspect under the scrap I’ve been working on. Which was a 12x12 that I spilt some ink on whilst in a panic to do a LO for a challenge. Deadline. Thank goodness it wasn’t a pile of them! You might notice that our dining furniture is outside. It isn’t really, it’s in the extension what Mr Dunnit is building...it’s weatherproof and with all doors open, a joy to sit at in this lovely summer heat.
come on then, show me what you did to stay out of the heat. Bet it’s all been tidied up by now. Please do not have better excuses than me. Put WOYWW in your post title, and link here. Thank you!

  3. Ooooo I had to rub my eyes then rub them some more this morning Julia or am I mistaken to think it's week 526?? Either way you've made me feel extra special how sweet to still have those ickle cards hanging around for inspiration... i'm chuffed. Glad you have had some sunshine too, I hear it has been hit and miss around the UK. There's nothing much going on in my crafty corner especially as it's in the kitchen, same goes for the cooker and meal times so Luncheon sounds delightful to me, beats a tossed salad hands down hee hee!!

  5. We’ve not been in much to do tidying up but I’m still in the first flush of neatness since decorating several rooms. It won’t last I can guarantee it.

  6. Hi Julia, Oh my my hands are itching, as they'd love to get at your desk and sort it out. Trouble is I can imagine it would be like the bridges. I'd no sooner get it sorted and you would have come behind me and messed it up again:) LOL

How nice that you can sit in your extension and enjoy the nice weather.

    Happy WOYWW

  9. Woman after my own heart Julia! I never see any point in tidying up until it’s a complete coup! ( Scots word for a tip/ complete mess)

  10. Yep I’m late (for me). Is my reason for my tardiness that I’ve been head down sewing?.....nope I just forgot to link up. The sun is shining, the patio door is open and the pollen is flooding in so my eyes are streaming while I write this. Will I shut the door to keep it out?....nope cos I love the fresh air and sunshine more! I will just keep taking the tablets and get bear making.
I love that your extension is now useable....enjoy.
    Hugs,
    Annie x

  11. Hi Julia, I'm with Helen as I'm sure it's 526. I think I might be able to see a corner of the card peeping out but then it could be anything as there are lots of things peeping out from under all that stuff. I will be off to see friends soon but will catch up with everyone later today. Happy woyww, Angela x13x

  13. You see?!?! there is a reasonable explanation for the state of the desk!!!
Love that you can move into and enjoy the extension already. Superb work done there Mr D!!
Yes, I know that it's not 'quite finished' but it will take time to work out the final positioning of the furniture....even I know that!!
    Have a good week

  14. When my space gets to look like your, I'm well on my way to losing something. I can't tell you how many dies I've lost over the years never to be seen again. I even go through the trash but never seem to find them, so for me, I just clean my space as I go. Love your desk and hope you don't lose anything! LOL...

  15. I love to see a really busy desk, Julia! I couldn't spot the coffee cup, though. Hope it tasted better than your description of it! I hope that very soon you will cease to be living in a building site and can enjoy your new extension to the full, especially if we continue to get this nice sunny weather. Thank you for your visit and for the heads-up on the friendship bracelet kit. What a shame that the rubber bands aren't really any use for anything else. I think I'll pass them on but keep the box, which is what I bought it for anyway. I agree that I got a massive bargain with the book. I've got several of these design-type books and they are very useful.

Have a great week and happy WOYWW,

  16. That is ..... busy! I nearly said something else but I caught my fingers in time.
Well Julia, when your desk gets like that there is only one thing left to do. Move to another area and start all over again. When my back is a bit better Heather is coming over for a crafty time and I am wondering how I can make room for the two of us. Think I need a table of some kind so we can both sit - but then I need a chair. Oh heck! Maybe the dining room table. See what I mean?
Just have fun and enjoy the sun, we don't get much so take it when you can.
Lots of Hugs, Neet 15 xx

  18. Happy WOYWW...it's dark and gloomy, but I've a burst of energy so will be boxing up "Stuff" I love that dragonfly tag and the cards are adorable. 1st time I cannot enlarge the photo to see real details. Oh chicken salad in the summer is my favorite with a sweet piece of cantalope ! Might just be my breakfast today. Enjoy a great week.

  19. Oh wow out door dining sans bugs sounds like a really good deal. ( is it heated? will you be able to use it in the winter too?)

  20. Lovely busy desk! I love it when desks are this busy! Your extension sounds wonderful, a great place to sit and eat "kind of" outdoors? Will it be winterized? Have a great week, Lindart #23

  22. Hi Julia! I am experiencing the same thing. It's so hot but my brain wants to craft and my body is saying "Are you crazy?" I just want to lay down with a tall cup of ice tea and bing watch something on Netflix. I am not complaining too much because our weather here has been horrible for spring. My desk is a hot mess so I shared photos from a haul. Have a blessed day and keep cool my friend!

  24. Hi Julia, my craft room is too hot during the daytime, so I've been sitting out in the garden under some shade, and just dumping things on my desks at the end of the day. But I did try and have a little tidy in anticipation of showing a clean desk. Ah well, failed there then. Your desk looks .... what's that saying ... lived in! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #26

  25. Great desk! Mine was tidy as I was ready to do my FB live video (but FB wouldn't cooperate). Oh well. It is hot here but it's pretty much average temps for this time of year.
Hope you get relief from the heat. Have a great week!
