What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 516

Seriously, this Whizzday, too soon, too soon! I sort of caught myself out this weekend. You know, a Bank Holiday or two and you think you’ve got masses of time, huh. So, I had a moment and decided to start preparing for the WOYWW Crop. This meant THIS:
I had to crack a few eggs, as you can see. It involved emptying a box that was strong enough to hold a lot,  - see the pile at the far end. Then I had a need to write stuff indelibly - see the ice cream container filled with my Sharpie collection. Which by the way, is incredibly and indelibly the most useful felt tip collection ever. For a gal that doesn’t do much colouring in, anyway! Then of course, something (and I can’t remember what) caused me to need to put away stuff I took to the crop on Saturday, so the pile of ink pads and nuvo drops and other stuff from my kit bag are just dumped there because as you can see, I didn’t actually put stuff away. Well, I put  three LOs away, that counts!
So this morning, as you can see, I shall be doing loads of stuff in order to avoid dealing with this. Oh and the stuff for the Workdesk Crop? Also a work in progress! Share and tell then, please. Put WOYWW in your post title and link here please. Thank you please.

  1. ooh what a busy desk... I have a large collection of Sharpies too... somehow I rarely use them (stuff piled on top..you know how it is) I must remember them. As I haven't yet bought my (expensive) train ticket I haven't planned stuff for the crop... must get round to both! Helen #1

  3. Oooops... looks like mine when i'm looking for something hee hee!! Your so right about those sharpies they do a grand job, I too have a bag full of them and praise them when ever I use them but finding them is the problem. Isn't it amazing when we have a desk like this our minds wonder else where :))
Hope it gets a little TLC soon. Happy WoywW Julia & Thank you for hosting.

  5. Hi Julia, Now come on, put your big girl panties on and sort that desk out:) LOL

I love Sharpies and have loads. The only thing is they can bleed through thin paper.

Hope you have a good day.

  10. PS that was odd. It said I was @11 I wrote my comment. I seemed then to not be on list. On rechecking I was @13.

  11. Wish I lived there, I would love to be able to come and play with you ladies for the crop! What a wonderful day you will have! Your desk looks almost overwhelmed with "stuff". I'd never find anything!

  12. Hi Julia, I know this feeling as I'm preparing for a friend's Hen Party and got persuaded to organise something for the girls to do and what with that and the general stuff, I'm getting fed-up with there being even more mess than usual because I haven't time to sort stuff that needs putting away. By the way, love the Sharpies too. Anyway less of that. Have a great woyww, angela x21x

  13. You do look busy and very organised to be preparing so well in advance. Wish I could be there, it sounds like it's always such a lot of fun.
    Have a great week,

  14. Gosh Julia, I think my head has gone away for a while as I don't seem to be functioning today. What am I supposed to be making for the Crop? I can't find the button for it at the top of your page. I was thinking atc's but then saw the atc button mentioning last year's pif and I got even more confused.
My Sharpies rarely get used these days - I have too many markers - but they are the handiest thing for me to reach for - maybe I should donate!
Have a great week, stay safe and well.
    Hugs, Neet 18 xx

  16. Hi Julia, I've been putting stuff in a box to bring. Are we doing ATC's? If so, I need to get started! Didn't we have fab weather this bank holiday- most unusual for us, lol. Tidying and putting stuff away always seems to make twice as much mess as I started with! Love & Hugs, Shaz #4 XxX

  17. Ha, Julia can soooo relate to the work in progress!!
My whole house could be called that I’ve decided!!! Mm with in progress.. progress and work fir that not often meeting together in perfect harmony!!! ๐Ÿ˜†
Happy WOYWW, pretty pleased I made it this week, was too unwell last week, and instead of cooking tea I’ve written my blog post. I had cheese dried fig and rice thins for nibbles whilst loading post on iPad and android!!

Never use computer to blog these days, like to sit in comfort in armchair, I’ve worked out how to do it pretty easily now...
oh and Julia.. you’ll be really impressed I’ve started my ATCs for the 10th anniversary. I’ve done the backgrounds anyway.. ideas floating around for rest bit like your crop preparations. First year started early I think.
As long as it doesn’t fizzle. Hope you’re well?

  18. It would be fun to see a time lapse of our desks - cause even when we're not working on anything the landscape invariably changes with stuff being moved around. Happy post Easter, Julia! zsuzsa #24

  19. Happy WOYWW. Sharpies - love them, but rarely use them. Got a large box full and I think that may be something that goes to the latest 'donate' pile. Preparing for the Crop (that reminds me that we have booked our car for service in Swindon the day before and I should rearrange that, as hubby thinks it will be too tiring for me to fit both in - he is right!) is something I should think about - even the practicalities like booking a hotel or campsite (depending on whether we come up in the campervan). 20. Happy WOYWW, your plans so fun, wish I could be there. I haven't noticed if your are doing the exchange this year or not. ATC's? Your desk looks good for a traveling date. Have fun.

  23. Looks like I'm not the only one who has been side-tracked this week, Julia. For different reasons of course but the result is the same - a desk that has a lot to clear up on it. And you've reminded mt that I should begin making plans for the crop, otherwise it will be a last minute panic. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #31

  26. I found something the other day which moved my Sharpie work far too easily and there were one or two words said. I am really looking forward to the Crop. It is lovely to have it within a day's reach. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #26

  27. Lovely busy desk, Julia. Like you I don't do much colouring but I love Sharpies too - a friend gave me a whole pack of them and they are very handy when you just want to do a bit. I haven't got any of the posh Pro Markers or their ilk!

  29. Hi Julia, I had to smile... putting away three layouts is a big deal. ( I have not scrapped in years) and probably the most important part of that clean up process. :) I think you have more free space to make something in between all the piles than I do though hee hee. ~Stacy #34
