What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 472 (really, 472)

It seems that between checking the number and typing the next number, I forgot it, and last week was in fact 471. I have double checked and apparently, double remembered this week. Good grief.

My desk, untouched by human hand since Monday. That will change this morning, but only to tidy it. Which will as you can tell, be a monumental relief to all. I've perched my first coffee in about the only empty space. Which suggests that space had a drink in it whilst I was putting this LO together. whilst avoiding football on the TV- watching England play makes me twitchy!  The pile at left begins with my patterned scraps in a blue plastic envelope file. Then my alphabet stickers that are in several expandable file pockets, within a large file. Wedged under that, the Moon Sparkles pens - I used the yellow to colour the old Basic Grey alphabet which although in the yellow pocket, were very pale.
As usual, I'm out most of the day, but unusually, will be home in time to actually make a few comments this evening, so I look forward to that. I think I've got Instagram sussed, so we'll see how we go!

  2. You can't go wrong with circles, and you can't go wrong with blue and yellow. Please don't let your coffee get cold, and have a wonderful day with your mother.

  3. Glad we're now all on the same week.... Loving that bright layout with those circles (my favourite shape!) So glad you found space to perch your coffee, it does look like the only place available. Have a good day.

  4. Good Morning Julia, i'm glad to see it is 472. One less thing for me to question how barmy I am!
Circles give the biggest of hugs and blue and yellow is the perfect colour combo.
Happy WOYWW 472 and enjoy that Coffee.. Tracey #4

I’ve grown rather fond of Instagram and only this week met up with two IG friends in Chester for the day. I’ll pop over and see if I can find you xx

  11. Hope you have a lovely day, Julia. Lots of interest on your desk as usual, including that lovely LO - love all the circles and the colour combo. I'm just grabbing a few minutes before getting ready for hospital transport for John's appointment. xx

  12. Glad I'm not the only one trying to avoid the football, Julia!

Sorry I've not been by to join in lately - I do miss it but was having trouble (with my wrists) visiting everyone

    Happy WOYWW

  13. That layout is shaping up nicely - I love Basic Grey paper - too bad their paper line no longer exists - I think they only make fabric and digital now. Happy #472!

  16. My hubby is a rugby fanatic so when soccer comes on the TV turns over, can't say as I'm not pleased! We're off to the Lincs. Show today so most of my visits will be this evening. Hope your day is good. Happy woyww, Angela x22x

  18. I'm not a footy fan either! Love the layout and the general desk chaos -it reminds me of mine mid project. I have resurrected my blog to make it easier for you to visit! #23

  20. Morning Julia, thanks for visiting already. Although I am a footie fan, I must admit that apart from dipping in and out of the England match the other night, I haven't watched any of the World Cup. Love the layout, but then blue is one of my favourite arty colours. Have a great week. Sarah #19

  21. Wee hours here, but I'll go back to bed. I had a dream and thankful it wasn't true. My dream was that in your post today you were retiring from WOYWW, man I flew out of that bed and here I am. Happy to see it was just a dream. Summer Shanty I'd say. Fun blue circles and the biggest cup of coffee I've seen. Out side that window is a step stool like the 2 I have upstairs and down. Only way for this shorty to reach into my 2nd and higher cupboards. Have a fun week and enjoy today. Happy WOYWW..thankfully so.

  22. Hi Julia. the building work seems to be coming along nicely. I know this sort of stuff feels like it takes forever when you can only work on it after work & weekends. Like the colours in the layout- really summery.Love & hugs, Shaz #6 XxXx

  24. Hi Julia, so love your desk, it always makes me feel right at home!
Spy several lots of tape lying around and a probably cold cuppa and various other crafty tools or detritus of creation. Certainly my craft room is a perpetual WIP!!
Numbers were never my strong point so quite understandable your error.
Thanks for sharing and glad to be back this week, hoping to comment a bit more this week, all being well!!

  25. Hi Julia, I'm lucky Mr M is not a footie fan, so I don't have to put up with watching all the games. I don't mind watching the occasional England match. I like the colours on your layout, and the circles. Instagram is still quite foreign to me. I believe I have an Instagram account but have never used it. Maybe one day lol. Have a lovely week, Heather x #13

  26. Hi Julia, I think I've spotted progress in the brickwork outside your window today. I've already admired that lovely layout - inspirational use of circles there. We crafters plan an awful lot of tidying ... it's a messy business. I've been too busy watching the tennis to get twitchy about England playing ... got twitchy about Andy Murray instead! Have a great day whatever you're doing. Hugs, Elizabeth x #30

  27. Oh, yes, I just spilled a drink at my scrap retreat! But I was able to save everything from harm. We even had drink holders on our tables! Looks like a lovely scrap page coming along. You sound busy, see you later. # 31

  28. Julia be thankful you have your crafting to escape to away from the footie, luckily I haven't been subjected to much thankfully.
I gave up bringing how drinks up here as I get involved in something and I end up with cold tea.

  29. Hi Julia looks like the backyard is moving along nicely. Oh yes the world cup when everyone goes a little nuts over it did Mexico really cause 2 seismic events or didn't they lol. Late joining in fell asleep early last nighthugs Nikki 33

  30. I had to giggle over the coffee spot comment. Amazing with all we put on our desks there aren't more drink accidents. I try to keep mine pushed to the back of my work space. When you stop by, you'll see a big blue circle near the top right. That is my drink coaster and where you'll usually see my beverage container during work hours.

Am I seeing new construction out your window?
Hope you have a great week! Creative Blessings! Kelly #36

  31. You got me in a bit of a flap with my scheduled post as I was thrown by the numbering system. All is well now in Hicky's world.
Love your pretty blue LO and, the deckchair. I no longer need to have DC envy as I found one in Amsterdam in Flying Tiger. Only cost me a couple of dollars so a real bargain. Not nice stripey fabric like yours but nevertheless a deck chair - one happy bunny!
Enjoy your day out - mine is full of tidying and washing.
    Hugs, Neet xx 5

  32. Oh, my and I thought I'd missed a week and couldn't figure out how! Glad to know that I'm not losing weeks!! Quite the array of goodies there. I was twitchy when my hockey team was playing in the finals, but in the end, they pulled it out and won the Stanley Cup, hey it only took them 40 some years! Have a great week!

  37. Thank you for your visit, Julia, and I'm glad you like my "Shalom" embroidery. Nice to be doing cross stitch again after a long break! My sourdough adventures are tremendous fun and like you, I adore the stuff. I hardly ever buy bread now. I make all our regular bread in the bread maker and other breads with the Kenwood and by hand. Something primeval about the process, isn't there! I have finished the card and present (apart from the box for the card) and they are now on my blog.
