What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 462

Well, it's busy with non work stuff. Nicer than last week then. Actually its a bit of a mess of push back.
I was making a scrapbook LO over the weekend and had decided to only use old stash. As you can see pink skeleton leaves and fabric brads, you can safely surmise that it really wasn't too difficult! The matted but not 'topped' card is awaiting a flash of inspiration. And a bit more glue by the looks of things. It's for a workshop next week, so am setting myself a deadline for finishing it - I want to deliver them to Shopkeeper Gal by lunchtime today! Only one pair of glasses but a couple of pairs of scissors, going well on that score! The photos on the deckchair are awaiting my scrapbook muse. I keep 4 or 5 there on a rolling basis, it reminds me not to wait for a Crop! If I wait for a once a month crop, I shall have to stop taking photos today and still live till I'm about nine hundred to get them all scrapped! Meanwhile, talking of photos, I've put a first wave of stamps for sale over on Loved, Used and now Forsaken. Please cast your eyes in that direction!
After all that, please join us in sharing your desk today, as always, post with a WOYWW title on your blog, and link here. Seriously, thank you!

  3. Looks like your getting her done, your layout should go quickly. That's something I don't really do. Been into painting and this week I'm sharing a pastel I made up hoping for some more likes from everyone to help me out

  4. Your crafting is so organised....I love the idea of a queue of photos waiting patiently.....how very English of them. Just like waiting to use the ladies toilet....there’s always a queue there too. 😂😂😂 keep up the good work.

  6. Happy WOYWW. Skeleton leaves. I am sure I had some, but probably never used them! Hubby has returned from his ParisRoubaix trip with photos and poster etc, so determined to get a scrap LO done this week. If I leave it, it will never get done! Off now to look at the stamps for sale. Ali x #8

  8. I've been using up stuff too this week. I still have loads of skeleton leaves in my stash. I must get them out and have a play; they'd probably work well on my gelli plate. Have fun scrapping. Sarah #14

  10. Amazing what one finds when you set your mind to it. Looks like a lot of fun embellishments to the left. Nice bright window too. That has to be the biggest tweezers I've ever seen. Off to Loved, Used and now Forsaken !! love it.
    Enjoy a good week

  11. Morning!! Workshop deadlines - sometimes I wish I'd never gone down this route ! (Love it really!) And photos - I think I have come to the grudging conclusion I will never be in control of the photos anymore. I just can't keep up, and I don't take THAT many. Hope you have a productive day. 12. Hi Julia, my, Skeleton leaves! I can remember thinking they were so cool, and bought them in every colour I could find, lol. Still love them, but not used one since I don't know when.I think we all have enough stuff we need a few lifetimes to use it all. Huge hugs, Shaz XXX#6

  13. Hi Julia, Your desk is busy.

I have loads of photos on discs, but not planning on scrapping those. My last 12x12 will be used for the photos from my holiday in July.

  16. "Pushed Back" - the term often used when a new idea strikes. hehe I read somewhere last week, AmyTangerine maybe, that we will never scrapbook all of our photos. Go with what strikes you... those are the memories you really want to keep.

You mentioned your 'slap dash' approach to blogging on my blog last week. Keep in mind, my blogs are my business - my online resume for my freelance work. An editorial calendar is important for me to keep all five straight and 'current' as possible (well, getting better on that front. hehe)

  17. You've just reminded me I wanted to buy some more skeleton leaves, I found some in my stash too and chucked them at a canvas with a load of paint and gesso - they looked so cool! Gorgeous texture and just like real leaves.

  18. I love the idea that you can flip through those photos Julia having them out to see. I cannot even imagine how many lifetimes I would need to scrap all of my shots. I am more of a theme album event type scrapper. ( someone gets married and maybe I make them a book) (maybe)
some people just get copies of the shots.

  19. Oh, that I could just run away and play instead of cleaning this week. With inlaws on the way, a vacation and housesitters for my cats coming to stay, things must be tidy. Not being physically able to clean for a few months, left things up to my loving husband, who I'm not sure ever sees his own feet, much less the floors or dust!

Julia we must live to be nine hundred together for I too need to scrap my photos!

    Happy Wednesday!

  22. Woot! I had to go looking for my skeleton leaves after that! I am trying to use stuff but it is hard when new stuff keeps coming out. I am buying a lot less but...Like you I would have to live to 1000 to scrapbook all the photos I have already taken! Hope you have a great week. Vickie #32
