Its looking like a work in progress for a change! Last night's coke can is still there, sorry. Mind you, everything is from last night, so I probably should extend the apology! I cleared out a few drawers over the weekend and found some stray photos, entirely unrelated to each other. A couple I set on my desk to scrapbook, the others have gone into the proper place for photos. And then I thought...hey, instead of moving them around the desk till the next crop, why don't you just scrap them...each one will only take an hour. It took more than an hour, of course, for this, the first of them. The good thing is that in the cold light of today, I don't hate it and I haven't cocked up the colour matches too badly. Note the position of the lamp...only as high as it is because I had to raise it in order to get off the stool! So today, I will move on, but that probably doesn't mean tidy!
Show and tell then, if I'm actually doing something, you surely are too....
I'm glad your lamp is helping with your colour matching, this winter and the dark nights seems to be going on so long! It looks very light out in your garden though. Have a great week and hope you finish your layouts. Helen xx
ReplyDeleteGreat that you scrapped rather than putting it off. If only I could sit and craft but my back is still stopping most things. BJ#4
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia. Love that little hep of buttons - which presumably have come out of the tall plastic(?) container in the corner. I so enjoy tipping all the buttons out of my tin and hunting through them.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Hello Julia its been a while glad to see your working through the pictures you found tucked away. Good lighting is always needed when creating happy Woyww hugs Nikki 6 I think
ReplyDeleteDaylight lamps are so useful for keeping your colours straight. Great layout and at least that's one less photo for putting away lol. Have a good week. Sarah #7
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. Sorry, no crafting on my table right now - but I will be later, and 'proper' messy mixed media! I do have some lovely stash to show off though. Ali x #13
ReplyDeleteI zoomed in to check out the pile of buttons (you know how I like buttons) but unless I’m mistaken they are studs? Like the big pink one on the top though....yes I looked that close 🤣🤣🤣 I have loads of photos I’d like organised but it will never get done I’m sure.....or maybe I will surprise myself one day.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Morning! I'm all over this today. Nice to see you are creating - what a pile of brads in the corner!! The night time colour thing frustrates me too. sometimes I consciously don't stick things together so I can review in the light of day. Reds are particularly troublesome I find. I often end up with my light virtually level with my nose. Sorry for the long post, seems now I'm back I can't shut up. Happy WOYWW Cindyxxx
ReplyDeleteHopeful about Wales, but its a long old drive on my own. Will have to think on it.
hi there, well done with the layout and doing other photos. Mine are in drawers from years ago, and the ones on my phone well! So sad really. Have a great week. I am sat waiting for granddaughters to arrive for the day. That'll keep us on our toes!! Anne x #15
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, When you mentioned about the height of the lamp I wondered if you knew it needed to be high from experience Lol! but would that just e me! The garden looks nice and bright this morning, it's quite damp here today. Anyway have a lovely woyww whatever you are up to. Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteEvery time you mention your lovely photo pages I get a pang of guilt - I have a big - and I mean BIG box of photos waiting to be sorted but I keep putting it off. Maybe I should be sorting instead of twiddling!! xx Jo #18
ReplyDeleteWell done for scrapping the found photos. I could see myself just moving them to another spot. Out of sight out of mind. :)

Good morning! Arriving at a better hour this week!
ReplyDeleteRemember to make up your other layout before you put the second photo away!
Have a good week

Having a great desk lamp is essential for crafting during the evenings! I'm glad yours is helping you out as well :) I am fascinated by the pile of different brads and I am wondering what's on your booktray? on the upper left? Have a wonderful week! xoxo Cheetarah #21
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, Love the LO.
ReplyDeleteNot taking part in WOYWW this week, but wanted to stop by.
Take care. Sue
Daylight ! Our days are getting longer and I love it. I am not mentioning it today when we clean out moms, but I am taking 2 older gooseneck lamps, similar to what I already have but I love them and I have just the spots to help me with sewing (my goal to learn that D=== computerized machine soon). Here the "diet" soda has many warnings on drinking it. We gave up all soda 3 years ago and I've noticed the change. I always think Tidy means not much activity but I find things when I do clear away. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, tidying drawers out is fatal- leads to all sorts of discoveries, both good and bad! Yours led to an interesting looking page though. Love & Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see you scrapping. I did earlier in the month but haven’t got back to it again. I saw your layout on an earlier post this week. You do great pages. I don’t go to crops, but went to my first Scrap Retreat last year and plan to go again this year. Happy WOYWW! #24
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, Great to see you scrapping. I'm just a tad envious because I'm struggling to find a space for any kind of crafting at the moment, I'm working on it though. Your layout is, from this distance, lovely so I'm not surprised you're pleased with it. That's an impressive tower of supplies teetering there too. Hope you manage to fit in a few more layouts in the week. Have a great day. Hugs, Elizabeth x #25
ReplyDeleteHi Julia. Firstly thank you for my badge, and the notecard. I feel official now lol. Your layout is lovely, and the colours are just right. I can't wait to get started on some more scrapbook layouts, now I have lots of room. I have an LED lamp, but it's not a daylight one, I never thought about the effect on colours!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed I will be able to attend the crop this year and meet you all, which will be lovely. I'm just waiting for my sister in Canada to confirm her vacation weeks before I book our flights ... hopefully they will be mid-late September! Have a lovely week, Heather x #28
I think you were wise to decide scrapbook the photos while they were right there! I am so far behind on my scrapbooking. When I do scrapbook it's Project Life, which is so quick and easy - no real reason I should be behind! Your desk looks very tidy today, and your page looks like it's coming along nicely! Have a great week, Lindart #29
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, oh that is a good feeling when your after dark color choices work in the light of day and I smiled over the pile of brads because, that is how I choose mine. ( they are all in a glass jar so they always get poured on the table to be picked over ) :) ~Stacy #32
ReplyDeleteJulia, Thank you for the WOYWW pin. Kind of you to send one to me.
ReplyDeleteJulia, I want that lamp! Mine is very much smaller in comparison and yours looks great! So glad that you got up the gumption to scrap instead of hoard, which is what I usually do! For what, I'm not sure, but there you have it! Make it a great rest of the week! Felicia #27
ReplyDeleteAll the bulbs in my studio are daylight ones. If I photograph things with this light I always have to adjust the colour back towards the red, because they all come out too blue! Much better than under normal incandescent bulbs though. Nice busy desk again.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,
Shoshi #33
There's nothing like a good lamp to help with crafting. For some reason my ceiling lights don't illuminate enough for me so I need my little lamp. Mind you this morning I saw some spiffing lamps on Hochanda (don't normally watch but for some reason it was on) and now I want them all. Small matter of a fortune is needed ....
ReplyDeleteWish I could scrapbook as good as you do.
Hugs, Neet (ready for the crop) xxx 9 xxx
Your area looks pretty pristine to me! Good for you to start scrapping right away. I'd be reshuffling the photos and never get started! Have a great week.
ReplyDelete-K
Good for you actually scrapping them! Your desk looks great. Dorlene #35
ReplyDeleteWOW here a second week in a row...might be the alarm on the phone that reminds me what day it is!! I think you did a great job with the colors...I switched my desk lamp and the overhead lights to those LED daylight bulbs. I am still not sure that I like them but you definitely get a true color from them! Vickie #36
ReplyDeleteHi Julia,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the badge - I really appreciate you sending it to me, and I shall be wearing it proudly to the Brockenhurst Needlework Fiesta in April - perhaps I might meet some deskers if it's not too far off the beaten track! I might have something to show on my desk by next week as the crochet bag is out but for the last few weeks Nothing with a capital N has been happening. Glad to see you are being creative,
Have a great week,
Hugs, Diana xx
Lovely to see daylight outside your window but even so the quality of light has been particularly bad this winter. I have been using a lamp much more than normal - even for my knitting & crochet.
ReplyDeleteToni xx
Hello Julia, I actually aren't doing anything. And you do not need to apologize all the time. Have a lovely weekend, vicky
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, sorry to be late to the party, but I'm having a little catch up with my coffee! Your scrapbook page looks fab, love the design and the colours. I would be amazed if I finished a page in an hour, I'm a slooooooooooooow scrapper :o) Annie C #10
