Well, gentle Desker, you've seen all this before.
And you've read all of my excuses. Well everybody, I'm over it. I've done the convalescing and the 'can't be bothereds' and I've done the lack of mojo. Now I'm at that point where you get ideas for cards because you're too busy to actually make them - you know that, right? So that's what I'm working towards...see one arm of my glasses behind the sellotape dispenser....is that to make them easier to find or an inanimate plea to be picked from all the rubbish? I've been wrapping and posting stuff see, so my desk has been my toy post office. Good enough, for now!
Show and tell your workspaces will you, you are a fascinating contributor.
I have no excuses either... despite all those lovely new things I bought I wasn't "feeling it" last week... I am liking your toy post office though!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a busy week around here but I made a point of setting the alarm so I would have my post done and ready to link at 12:20am. I am going to be too tied up with two doctors appointments tomorrow to get it done during the day. I know what you mean about the ability to come up with ideas. I have been blog hopping and Pinteresting it to find things I want to do! Hope you have a great week. Vickie #2
ReplyDeleteCor Blimey Julia. Good luck with the return of Mr Mojo, I hope you manage to get some of those ideas to come to fruition. In the meantime your desk is a hive of industry to spur us all on.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet 3 xx
ps please can you send mr Mojo on up north for a short while.
I couldn't take another photo of my desk... same old stuff. But, now I have 2 desks to spread the mojo. Good sign when the ideas start coming and it's always in the shower for me. Have a lovely week wrapping and posting.

Happy WOYWW. Doing the creative challenge and, thus, the 'Just 15 Minutes' has really worked for me. I have no valid excuse, as I can always spare that short period of time to get creative - and my pile of 5x5 papers is delightfully random already! Ali x #10
ReplyDeleteMy son would love your post office, he loves playing post office, he made a post box and a sign with the opening hours and is always asking me to sent him post. Have a lovely, hopeful creative week, Vicky
ReplyDelete....and I don't help by dragging you off for a morning's gadding 😊 That's what friends are for!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 11 xxx
Toy Post Office.....oh you've set me off there Julia. I feel the need to go and play now. I'll have to use battery operated weight scales though until normal electricity supplies are resumed :-(
ReplyDeleteYes that's def a desk in action today. I used to love playing post offices with my John Bull printing set....but I can't see one of those on your desk :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week my friend.
Hugs,
Annie x
Hi Julia, Hope you soon have the time to relax and do some crafting.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely day. Sue #5
Ah Julia, one thing my glasses are usually on my nose so dont need to hunt for them these days as cant see that well without them, that is one sensible tape dispenser too.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you've loads of ideas to make even if not time to actually make! Happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x #14
I have no excuses for being MIA, just didn't have time to devote to hours on a very slow computer to reciprocate to all the wonderful people who visit me. And I won't play if I can't reciprocate. But I'm still here and trying to keep up with your antics and excuses, which sound less like excuses and more like real life to me. Have a super Wednesday and rest of the week, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having a busy time playing at "Postman Pat". At least you will have that all sorted.
ReplyDeleteI've finally started on the Chrimbo buying to add to the stuff I've been making but I still think it will end in a mad rush as it does every year LOL.
Have a super week.
Toni xx
At least you've got things done - I like the idea of a toy post office. My next door neighbour worked there when I was a child and I loved the way she got to stamp all the post - I think that's what gave me the interest in stamping!
ReplyDeleteI too am currently missing but took a break between meetings to have a quick nose at a couple of weeks. Hoping to catch up later....I spy bubble wrap....Ooh that SO needs popping
ReplyDeleteMeant a quick nose at a couple of desks not weeks! Wretched predict text!
DeleteJulia, I love to hear this fighting talk! I remember the feeling oh so well, at the beginning of this year. The feeling of rolling up one's sleeves and longing to get stuck back in. When you start feeling like this, you know you are well on the road to recovery! Good for you. And a nice messy desk is the way to go! It shows that you mean business and are back in action again. (Anyway, I don't think anyone on WOYWW needs to make excuses for a messy desk. It goes with the territory.)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

I understand Julia and this is a quick post for me as I have to go out in ten minutes but back later to catch-up on the visits. Have a great day and happy woyww, Angela x 19
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a plea for help, LOL. Poor glasses, swallowed up by an avalanche of stuff. Glad you're busy, Julia! Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteGo Julia!! I've been ebaying like mad and have spent the last week packing and posting - I would have loved doing this as a kid!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
Hugs, Diana x #20
Aiming to share and visit later, I'm schlepping around whilst you and LLJ are off gadding, thing is, the more you do, less time you have.....
ReplyDeleteEnergetic week by the sounds of it, I'm exhausted already!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and take care

Hi Julia, been watching all the stamps you've put up for sale. How lovely that you and your Mom shared a hobby. The spectacles are probably frantically waving to be rescued before they get packaged, lol. Have a good week, lots of love & hugs, Shaz xxx
ReplyDeleteA state like this isn't unknown to me either. ;)
ReplyDeleteI like to call it "organized chaos" and often after tidying up I don't find stuff anyomre...so tidying up isn't as rewarding and overestimated from my point of view. lol
Hugs!

I do love the toy post office! As the saying goes "this too shall pass".

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteI hope once you've finished playing at Postman Pat, you can move on to some creative project. You'll most likely have lots of ideas that you can't wait to get started on :)
Have a good week though,

I can totally understand this state of affairs. If I didn't have people come each Saturday for a class my workbench would permanently look like yours. At the moment it contains my laptop and 3 boxes of exercise books for marking! I won't have much time to visit today, as I have to go into work for a parents' evening even though it's my day off. Sarah #29
ReplyDeleteGetting things ready to mail and mailing them are my Kryptonite. I'm applauding all of your mailing activities. Happy Wednesday! LisaDV #26
ReplyDeleteOh gosh... that arm of your glasses is really waving for help Julia *lol* I hope you find some relaxing me-time in the next days so you can come to the rescue... happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #15
ReplyDeleteFAB desk, makes me want to have a rummage to see what treasures I could find!

We've all got a million and one things to do and not enough time, and sometimes the unction, to do so!!! We've all been there Julia!!! Sometimes it seems like more times than not, right? LOLOLOL I love your messy desk and I really love the light that you get through that lovely window! We are all still blessed that you enable us to play along even when all seems quiet on your home front! Thanks for YOU Julia! :)
ReplyDeleteI always have to wrap things on top of my washing machine to have enough space to wrap it.. So I am kind of impressed you can do it on your desk. :) and that is the state of my mind nearly always. more ideas than time. So, Welcome back to that Julia. ~Stacy # 34
ReplyDeleteI read your post "first thing" prompted by FB but tasked myself to at least stick a LO down before blogging this week. I managed 2 in the end which is momentous considering how I feel.
ReplyDeleteAnyway your reference to the toy post office reminded me of the wooden toy post office I had as a child. That made me smile.
Hugs BJ#37
I'd love some more crafty time, at the moment it's just a not enough hours in the day situation.
ReplyDeleteIt will come back. Eventually. Hopefully! Just keep thinking about doing some, try to get some ideas, and soon enough your mojo will be falling like an avalanche.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

Hello, and thanks for letting me participate! :D I've been lurking and procrastinating, but mom (Vickie) told me I should just give it a go. I totally understand about the lack of motivation and trying to craft when work just keeps getting in the way. There's something so refreshing about starting with a clean desk for me - revs up my creativity. Thanks again! Heather #40
ReplyDeleteI like the "I just don't want to" attitude! Hope you have a great week!

Thanks for your visit, Julia, and I'm glad you like the Zengems, which really are fun to do, with the added bonus of a real wow factor at the end! As for the iPad, it arrived yesterday, and I'm afraid I have to confess that your prediction is rapidly becoming a reality lol lol!! I am having such fun with it. I haven't done a lot yet but have been downloading apps, and I've got it up and running with the SkyQ TV system so I can wander around the house watching TV!! Loads to learn, and all such fun. Some accessories arrived today (keyboard and Apple pencil) so now the real fun begins.

Now that is the way a desk should look. I love a desk full of crafting goodies.
