What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 362

I took this picture on Tuesday afternoon.
I was then going to tidy and put away stuff, because I think this is as bad as it has ever been, and it's driving me mad. Weird that, considering I'm the perpetrator. Anyway, suffice to say that there is no after picture. Yet. Today might be the day though - it would be nice! What you see is evidence of some hasty thank you cards, gone and not photographed, mine and LLJ's works of ATC art (cough cough) for the anniversary, scrapbooking papers that didn't make it to Crop (I've no idea why) and only the big scissors. I see from the pen/equipment holder at the far left that there are no orange handles which means that this desk is hiding 4 pairs of scissors!
Show us will you, what a proper workspace looks like, it'll be so much more inspiring than this!
Put WOYWW in your post title and link here - that way we can visit. Thank you!

  2. I would have to replace your alphabet stamps (in order of course) but your desk doesn't look that bad to me.. not a lot of room to create however!

  3. I was glad to add to the desk of shame 😃 Thanks for letting me raid your stash (again!), I enjoyed making a few ATCs. And bragging free cups of tea too.....

  5. Your desk isn't to bad and does your desk just magically eat scissors like the washing machine eat socks? Lol and looking forward to the swap and see what everyone makes hugs Nikki 7 again

  6. Good morning, Julia. I reckon tidying up is an over-rated pastime, myself! I've found a second pair of scissors for you, by the way. Bang slap in the middle of the picture - smaller pair. I see you have an egg shaped sponge - do you like the effect it gives?
    Take care. God bless.

  7. It's almost like a where's Wally pic.....hunt the scissors :-) Over at mine it's usually hunt the little snips that I play....I'm sure some of them sprout legs hehehe.
Have a great week my friend.

  8. Thanks for the reminder about the ATCs. I had planned to make a lot but I still have not started. All due to our mad as in crazy mad elections. We elected a madman into office!!!!! I hope he will sober down now that he will be President! I was on facebook a LOT!!! As in campaigning for my sane candidate! :^) patsy

  10. Are we playing 'Spot the scissors'? There is a smaller pair in the middle of the picture and do I spot a blue one on the left in the holder?
Anyway, your desk is not bad at all. At least it shows some work has been done, contrary to mine, which is a mess with nothing to show for it....
    Happy WOYWW,

  11. For you the problem may be scissors and pairs of glasses disappearing amongst your stash but my problem is that I can never find a pen!!! Would you believe this from a self confessed "Pen Addict"...I can normally lay my hands on any type of marker you care to name but find a straight forward pen?...LOL

  12. By the end of today I hope my desk looks just like yours. No 1 is to put away the stamps I spread out for the photo, no 2 is to get the inks out on the table and start doing some backgrounds.
Sorry, can only see one pair of scissors - perhaps your other half has borrowed three pairs?
Do enjoy the sunshine when you go away, it will build you up for the op - thinking of you.

  17. The camera shot of my table does not show the other end which is covered in things which I keep moving in order to find stuff I've buried. I think we all get to that stage but it's only because we are soooooooo busy. have a good week x Jackie 22

  20. All good intentions........ I was determined to stick my LO which has been sitting on my desk for a few weeks now BEFORE coming on here and I DID, hope you like it plus my window sill garden update on the sunflower, and various sprouting "heads"!!! Hope you manage to do a tidy and find those pesky scissors soon. BJ#26

  21. I actually did get fed up of lifting up stuff from left and right of my regulation 10"x10" working space and had a tidy up on Monday - I mean putting stuff away kind of tidying! Will I let it get like that again. ...you bet!! Hugs, Chrisx

  22. I found another pair of scissors - are there prizes for the most found?
Love that flower stamp on the card on the stand... hint, hint.
Just LURVE those alphabet stamps - are they printers blocks?
    I dunno, questions, questions .....

    Have a good week

  23. Hehehe Julia, you've got the crafter's version of a Where's Wally scene...'Where's Scissors' (forgive the grammar!). Sod tidying, that can wait! Happy crafting, Max #29 :-)

  24. Let me know if you find my orange handled scissors... small with neon green floss tied to one handle - you know, so they don't get lost! Ha!
    Happy Deskday!

  25. I spy another pair of scissors ... you must still have two hidden though! My desk looks pretty much the same but totally organised chaos ... at least that's what I am trying to tell myself. Love to you, as always and not just on desky-days. xXX

  26. So this is when I scrape it all off into a box on the floor! But that's why I have about 6 boxes on the floor that I need to go through. Lol
    Have a great day.

  27. You can't see much of my desk in this week's post, because I cropped the photo to focus on my artwork. However, it doesn't look much better than you. My wife even made a comment about it the other day, and she never has before. It's that time of year for me at school when things get wild. Hope you get some time to organize yourself and have a blessed week too!

  30. I think that's exactly what a proper work space looks like. Mine would be far worse if people didn't insist on eating every day!

  31. In my opinion clearing up a desk is a waste of time. It is important to have a little room in the middle where you can work on your project, right? I like your desk!

  32. Hi Julia, love your desk- it's like those games we used to play at Brownies- You look at objects on a tray for 30 seconds, then it gets covered up and you have to write down as many as you remember! lol. I'm still wading through putting away my Port Sunlight stash. Will be getting to the ATC's this weekend. I hope. Huge hugs and lots & lots of love, Shaz xxx

  33. Bringing autumnal but very sunny greetings from downunder Julia ...
Sorry I lobbed in ealier linked over then promptly left, but rude of me so now back to comment. I think I can find three of the four pairs of scissors, so that's pretty good, and also love the images stamped on white card in the iPad chair, and note the purple eggs have been in use.

Haven't seen them downunder, but can't help but think that they would go really well in my purple craft room, but then maybe not, I may not be able to find them on my purple carpet!! :) you're all daily I my thoughts and prayers.xx
    Happy WOYWW, thanks for sharing..

  34. Your desk looks like you've been busy! I always have to have a little space to work on but the mess around sometimes gets on my nerves - especially when I end up not being able to find something because of the mess. I still haven't found the scissors I lost. Sigh. I'm beginning to think I threw them out.

  37. Good morning (afternoon), Julia! The good news about the scissors is that at least two pair can be spotted in this picture. All of our desks have this ebb and flow of activity and chaos and the point at which we say, "Enough!" is different for each, probably. Hope you have some time to make things right with your crafty world soon. :-) Happy WOYWW!

  38. Really if that's as bad as it's ever been, you shouldn't fret. I'm hoping to tidy a little tomorrow - but then I said that yesterday too. Happy WOYWW!

  41. Routing through your stamp box Julia to see if you have one with a postbox on it.
I am late as we've been at the caravan and stayed an extra day as the weather was so beautiful.
Have a look and see what happens when there is no wifi. I need a rest now I'm shattered.

  42. Hello Julia your desk always amazes me so many goodies and reminds me of a well loved space. I tend to make more of a mess when my friend is over and we are always digging under piles looking for scissors and glue and so much more....lol but we just don't have the time to get together and it has been over six months since our last craft day. I started my ATC and they will be the first ones ever made so crossing fingers they work out. Have a great week Hugs~Anne L#9

  44. You are just TOO CUTE! Grin... I love how you always "come clean" and tell us how you keep planning on cleaning up but then just snap the shot! It's what I love BEST about this entire process... just take the photo... now cleaning... my last few posts show a very neat and tidy space but only because it is still new (just unpacked) and I am being extra good and extra clean, give it a few weeks... Grin! BTW I am so EXCITED about the anniversary blog post... days before my Birthday and the year I am starting my retirement dreams... it's like you arranged it just for MEEEE! SMILING and sending loving hugs...
