Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday 350

Yikes, deskers! Here it is untouched after a workshop and then a crop.  We've been out fitting windows, so my desk has been rather neglected!
It's a bit over exposed as well, but you have to understand about me and photography and me and cant-be-bothered. You can tell it was crop, my weapons of choice are loaded into the craft tote that LJJ made for me, complete with my 'away' glasses perched in the end pocket. Not usual, that. I'm so paranoid about not having glasses where I need them that they're usually far better tucked in - for safety's sake!
The basket at right of the tote contains makings for one of the workshop cards, there was embossing and a Pearl Ex palette, not sure which card; if I haven't already, I'll share it at some point. I think that's it in terms of interest...blimey, must do better! Still - it is consistent in the untidiness! So do share your desk and what you're doing at it, that will be great for a languid visit with cuppa in hand! All of my visits tomorrow will be by iPad...that spells trouble with comments, so bear with me! Don't advertise, put WOYWW in your title and link your post here, that's all. The rest is about visiting each other and being inspired!

  1. as ever it's a pleasure to peruse your desk..good luck with the ipad commenting.. it's a bit like commenting from the phone I think . those glasses do look a bit precarious there, hope you've rescued them now! xx

  2. One day you'll have everything where you like it then you will look at it smile and start crafting and it will be back to its usually state of Crafty goodness. I would love some more storage so I can rearrange what I have into something with drawers but the DH thinks it's because I'd love more lol little bit of column a and little bit colum b=buy new stash

  4. Your desk always looks well used and busy! I gave up trying to blog and comment from our iPad. Much too stressful!

  5. How could I tell. I don't think I've ever actually cropped, much less been to one. Guess I need to get out more and/or make new friends! i do know my way around a pet palette !

  6. I have trouble doing things on my tablet too. It's a nightmare. I can't even do basic things like copy and paste! So I'm lugging this old desktop-replacing laptop everywhere I go. I'm due a new one as Windows Vista is no longer supported, and I'm looking around. My DH says I should get a proper desk-top, and he has a point, but that spells trouble with my blogging. As every Tuesday morning (apart from today) we are at our weekend home for a rest.... will let you know what the outcome is.
    Have a good week,
    Lisca

  7. It's good to see you've been busy [and still are by the sounds of it]. Good luck with the ipad....they really are brilliant [for some things]. I've been falling out with mine cos messages don't always come up in my message box on my ipad even when they have flashed up accross the screen and then the only way I can see them is to fire up the trusty lap top!!
Have a great week. Stay warm fitting those windows.
    Hugs,
    Annie x

  10. I do love your tote from LLJ.
At least you have signs of activity even if it was the fact that you had been to a crop/workshop LOL.

  15. That's a pretty tote you have, how wonderful to have a friend like LLJ who can sew. Maybe I should get my (still new) sewing machine out and come to terms with it - but there is so much else to do first!
Love that deckchair, there is something about it that appeals.
Thanks for introducing us all to one another.

  18. Your desk is always just full of good things! I always love coming to visit. For some reason I keep putting "Glenda-Correct Link" on the list, but this morning I think I finally got it figured out and it should not happen again. Sorry about that!

  19. I wish you had been with us yesterday - I was trying to explain about a crop ..... we decided that one has to be there to understand!!! lol

Hope you manage to return to your proper job of crafting at your desk soon.

  24. Nice LLJ tote. It looks quite dark outside. Yikes.

I am ALWAYS losing my glasses on my desk! That looks like a great pocket to keep them in - if you remember where you put them lol.

Is that a mini-deckchair I see on your desk?

    Happy WOYWW

  25. This is my first time for sharing my mess. I can't wait to hop around and see everyone's room and get some great ideas. So happy to be here! thanks!

  26. I noticed the glasses 'hanging out'... eeeckk... I bought me a new (third) pair of reading glasses last week 'cause one can never have enough of those. (I really missed having glasses in the kitchen, the text on packages is tinyyy!!!)
I hope you have a lovely day and as sunny as we have in the Netherlands! Happy woyww, Marit #45

  28. Julia I envy the crops and workshops and creative fun you get to have. I've got two stamping partners in crime, my mom and my gal pal Kathy that I actually got hooked on stamping. It's so nice to have friends to share it with, you are blessed!

  29. Oh gosh, the pads are fine for some things, but they are a challenge for the comment-leaving type activities! The crop sounds like a lot of fun, I miss doing that.

  31. A cute little tote! I find it increasingly difficult to see details without my reading glasses too! So far I have resisted the idea of carrying a pair with me, but perhaps I should! I'm dreading the day when I have to ask someone in the shop to read a label for me! zsuzsa #40

  32. You are a busy girl! And I'm so glad that I'm not the only one terrified of not my having my glasses. My problem is that since the surgery on the left eye, my prescription for both up close and far away is much stronger than the right eye, so I can't even get away with buying a bunch of readers anymore. And my glasses insurance program won't let me have more than one pair at a time, but I really want a second pair for insurance sake, so I might have to do that anyway! *sigh* Oh and I loved you post about glue the other day too! 33. I have the same issue with my ipad, too. It's a pain because I like to browse blogs on my ipad while the hubby watches tv. I also have crafting/computer eyeglasses that I can't do without.

  34. Lots of goodies. LLJ is the sweetest and what a handy tote. Hubby is forever without his cheaters when we go somewhere. I bought a zip case to keep a pair attached to my purse for when we are out and about. thanks for creating this road map to creativity for us. Creative Blessings! Kelly #54 ish

  35. My post this week is rather shocking, even worse news than last week. I'm hoping 2016 will shape up and get better, but so far it's been a disappointment to say the least. It is nice to see some "normalcy" in the blogs I am visiting.

  36. Hi Julia,
A messy desk is a happy crafter! I keep telling myself I'm going to clear the clutter from the dining room table and get a project going (other than knitting) to share with my fellow deskers.

    Have a wonderful WOYWW!

    Hugs,
    Kay

  39. OOh I have tote envy - that's lovely. That LLJ is so good with colour combination. I know what you mean about iPad commenting. I usually do my blog from my smart phone but always have to go on the laptop to finish off the links as my phone just can't cope with that! Happy crafting, Max #60

  40. Nice busy desk, Julia, and lovely to see one of LLJ's bags there too! I did my WOYWW post last night and have been really busy baking all day, and just sat down and nobody had visited me which I thought a bit odd, till I suddenly remembered I hadn't actually signed on!!! Duh. Still, better late than never!

  42. Never tried an ipad. I'm quite fond of my old laptop, it does the job. Just read your glue post below. I was a die hard tape user, until I discovered Tombow, now it's wet glue (almost) all the way. Love the "wiggle room" it gives me and dries very quickly.
