What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 342

Well Deskers, time is marching on and you know how hard it is to find desk time in the Holiday Season. Not so Chez Dunnit!
I must have forgotten or neglected something, but until I remember what, I'm OK about being at my desk. And I'm working on next year's workshops already. To say I'm a bit smug would be to really understate it. Sorry! It is a bit of a mess, but I'm happy with it! Not all evidence of Christmas has gone  - there's the red ribbon and bakers twine that I used to tart up a candle/jar thing yesterday....and the solitary card on the iPad stand. No evidence of music or spoken word accompanying me. No. Miss Dunnit and her Musician are home and they're watching naff movies on tv, and I love to listen to them groaning and laughing over them!  So if you can steal five minutes from your preparations, please share your desk with us. If you can't, we more than understand! If you don't visit this blog on any day other than a Wednesday, I wish you a happy Christmas. Whatever you're doing, do it with love!

  2. Consider five minutes stolen, Julia. Love the card on your desk this morning.
Have a fantastic Christmas - whether things are forgotten or not isn't important - just enjoy being together round a celebratory table.
    Take care. God bless.
Margaret #1 How did I ever get to that place?!

  4. Merry Christmas Julia!!! The baker's twine on your desk reminds me that I have not found the 3 spools of baker's twine I bought. This is not readily available in the Philippines and when it is, it is very expensive! So I really have to find it! As you know I am always happy to see a mess!!! Happy WOYWW!! patsy

  5. Wishing you and yours a very Wonderful Christmas. I see you have no snow either. Very strange weather here. But on the nicer side. I'll keep a little of the Christmas music playing, time went too fast, I don't think I even played all my CD's. The NEW YEAR is not that far away. Maybe I should get started on my ATC's and get them to you before you have your gathering.
    ENJOY the Festivities.

  6. Lovely to have Miss D home - is the romance serious then?
There is a change in my desk, well there will be shortly as I remembered I need another card and pronto. Set the alarm early and now am going to disappear into the realm of peace (my craft room) and create chaos again with the die cutter. That is if I can find the die that is going around in my head. Did I get that one?
Have a wonderful Christmas and all the best for 2016.
    Hugs, Neet xx 10ish xx

  7. Your desk looks well loved today, dear Julia. And I can't begin to believe GREEN grass outside your door. Are you sure you live in England, not the Mediterranean?

I hope you, Mr. D, Miss D., Music Man, and anyone else who shows up, have a wonderful Christmas. I also hope you get to see your folks during that time, too. Having everyone together must make you very happy. It feels festive to me!

  11. Morning Julia.
I know what you mean about having time to spare, I think Christmas being on a Friday means that I was more or less ready last weekend and then have spare time to do whatever I want. Enjoy the time, you probably haven't forgotten anything so just relax and let the mojo go to town.
    Have a great Christmas.

  21. Sending wonderful Christmas wishes to you and yours during this joyous holiday season! I notice you don't have snow either; here in the Southern US we are expecting 70 degrees and rain. Very unusual!

  22. You can be proud of yourself! Thinking ahead, and preparing stuff while you have 5 minutes and while you are in the mood for it.

It must be great to have daughter + musician home. That'sone of the nice things about Christmas.

Wishing you and yours a verylovely and peaceful Christmas,
    Blesins,

  26. I love the card - such a refreshing change to see something other than green and red at the moment, and I love the grasses/seedhead stamps - absolutely beautiful. I feel a mauve moment coming on! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas,

  28. Hi Juli, love your card - reminds me of Spring which I'm hoping is just around the corner :) You wouldn't want to see my desk, really you wouldn't, it's currently strewn with the fallout from last minute cardmaking but I hope you'll enjoy my post this week all the same. Wishing you a wonderful holiday. Hugs, Elizabeth x #40

  29. Have a very merry Christmas! Now, I know you guys have interesting words to describe things -- but what are naff movies? Tee hee

I'm late in joining in because I was having all kinds of trouble. Better late than never!

  33. Now that looks like a lovely card that is coming to life on your desk. I think we all have found a way of keeping those much needed craft tools on our desk no matter what we are working on. Thanks Julia for another year of woyww and I wish you and your family a wonderful christmas and new year..

  34. I somehow find it disheartening that more people who linked up didn't stop by to visit you.

I hope you and your entire family have the most wonderful Christmas. Your kindness has shown from Day 1 that I "met" you. You deserve the honor of being Queen, if only for one day a week!
