The mirror card on the ipad stand is one last Christmas card, waiting to be mounted. I doubt if it'll be used now, so I shall just let it rest and decorate my desk! On the other side is a couple of cards that are waiting to be delivered by hand. They need to be moved to the hall stand so as not to be forgotten! I was invited to Shopkeeper Gal's last workshop of the year. I really enjoyed myself, partly because I didn't disgrace myself by not understanding the directions! The results are on the desk, close up below; you can see how different our styles are.
I rather suspect that your desk is more interesting than mine; please show and tell, it will make for a lovely visit! Put WOYWW in your post title so that those of us who visit late (me), can easily find you. Link here. Done. Brill.
Very tidy space and I still have a couple cards to hand deliver but I'm hoping to do them soon ☺ hugs Nikki 2
ReplyDeleteI was actually expecting to see the Christmas tree in the lounge, but I'll take your clean and cleared desk instead. It's very festive and looks a bit like Christmas, too.
ReplyDeleteYour desk is much more interesting than mine, which has looked the same for a while... hope you have a good time today wherever you are..and that you didn't forget to move the cards you have to deliver.. Helen
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying your day away. Looks like you have the same green, green grass as we do. Lots of rain and no bitter cold temps as yet. Ok by me.
ReplyDeleteThree pretty cards too. Have a great WOYWW kind of day
It is a public holiday over here and DH and I are going Christmas shopping. Wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteYour desk is really clean. Love the cards.
Have a great day out, Julia. My desk can only be described as neglected and abandoned - yours is far more interesting!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.
Margaret
That's a very orderly desk...I think you'll make it onto Santa's 'good' list this year after all! It's true what you say about the differences in results with those lovely cards. I'm always surprised how different Twiglet and i manage to make needle-felting look. Happy crafting, max #16 :-)
ReplyDeleteA tidy desk and the boss missing? I hope where ever you are you're having fun.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Your desk looks like a sea of tranquillity this week Julia. Something I've no doubt we are all striving for at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThe cards look good. I'm thinking of taking cardmaming up myself next year.

I did notice the green grass in your yard. We have had temps in the 70's here in Tennessee. I'm so afraid winter will hit with a vengeance! Your desk looks like mine all clear and waiting for Christmas to come! Glenda #23
ReplyDeleteOh dear! my desk my be interesting if you can work your way round the clutter Lol! Have a lovely WOYWW, Angela 25
ReplyDeleteA lovely tidy desk Julia and those cards are great. Thank goodness we all have different styles and can take inspiration from each other.

Such a tidy desk Julia... my compliments ;) The styles in cards are indeed very different, isn't it nice to see how we all have our own ways and styles?! Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #28
ReplyDeleteA calm and very organised look today! Just like my kitchen where I am baking my cakes - NOT! x Jo
ReplyDeleteIt fascinates me how we can develop such distinct styles. Even when 2 people use the same elements, cards can look completely different. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds like such a fun workshop! I think I heard the angels singing when I saw how festive and beautiful your desk looks! The cards are so lovely. Just a happy Christmas desk. Sandy Leigh
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice, tidy desk. Very inviting! I've slipped and let mine slide into chaos. It was such a gradual process, I didn't even notice! Lovely cards as well! Have a great week, Julia!
ReplyDeleteWhat a tidy desk! I love those cards (Shopkeeper Gal). They look like they took hours to make!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and don't get too stressed,
Lisca
Hope you're having a lovely day! Desk looks as though it is ready and waiting for your return!

Definitely a very tidy and quiet desk. I'm still making some Christmas cards for my blog,FB page, and church but think I have enough for now. The cards from the workshop are very pretty! How fun to get together with others! Hope you have a great week!

I'm wondering if I have ever seen your desk so tidy?! lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards (as always) - and it will be nice to keep one decorating your own desk for the season :) Hope you had time for the cake! :)

ReplyDeleteHello Julia,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to be "once again" joining in with WOYWW. This really is an online family for me. Your workdesk looks quite organized. I've received two handmade Christmas cards and it's given me the bug - but I'm afraid it's too late.
Hugs,
Kay
That is a very tidy desk; your ten minutes well spent!! And I love the Thank you card with butterfly...very eye-catching! Have great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWorkshops are always fun. Nice cards. I actually got a post up this week. Enjoy your day away,
ReplyDeleteLovely cards from the workshop. It must have been fun for you to attend one rather than be the person teaching it. Your desk looks great, but I think it is missing you. :) Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I forgot to mention that I can see that you don't have snow, either. We ordinarily have had quite a bit by this point in the year, but other than a slight dusting back in November, I believe, we've had nothing but rain. I love El Nino!
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks so clean and neat - beautiful! I am just starting my cards - have been working weeks now to build a dollhouse store to give to a little girl and so am way behind with my paper creations! Wishing you a happy evening!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
That is a gorgeous thank you card! Your desk looks pretty neat. I still need some more Christmas cards, but have almost fizzled out on making them. I have mailed out over 50, and I needed 14 more last count, but they might not be made this year! Too much to do at the last moment. Merry Christmas, in case I am not here next week. #50
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tidy desk! I love the cards and especially that gorgeous black bird on a branch, which I presume is a die? Hope you have a good week, and thanks so much for stopping by my desk - sorry I'm running late!
ReplyDeleteDiana #29
I am so impressed that you are already making cards for next year. I still have to finish my cards for this year!
ReplyDeleteApril
I am so impressed your desk is so clean, those are cool card designs too :) ~Stacy #51
ReplyDeleteLove the Thank You card, I think it is the fluidity of the design that appeals to me, All are nice but for some reason I am drawn to that one.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking I have one too many cards therefore one ready for next year and another pops in my letterbox and I have to use it - and then make another one.
Off to the Christmas Market today to meet up with a friend so no card making on the horizon, bet I will be back tomorrow though.
Hugs, Neet 11 xx
Thanks for stopping by Julia, this week I forgot to comment on your blog in my rush to post and visit everyone else!! Have a great week.

Hello again Julia. Thanks so much for your visit and your comments. Blogging this week because, basically, I needed to do something other than visit the hospital, and the support this group gives to one another is lovely - so very encouraging! John is very slowly recovering after what was indeed a very stressful evening for everyone. Both our daughters travelled the breadth of Britain that night to be with their dad. I'm very blessed with my family!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.
