WOYWW Crop2

It was a fabulous sunny, mild Autumn day.  There was nothing spooky about it at all; a classic Englsh autumn setting.  I can't tell you much about the rushing around, organising, cooking and sweating, because I didn't do any of it. Seriously. I double booked my commitment and so turned up in time to eat lovely lunch and chat a lot. As usual, I did not get around to so much as unpacking my bag of things I thought I might do. Nor did I take any photos; but I fear that others did, so Wednesday may be a time of delayed witches appearing on blogs around you!

And do you know, I cant even remember what's in that bubble envelope. Gosh you can tell my intentions to craft were a bit half hearted, huh! I did manage to talk to everyone (my real skill), I think I even managed to make everyone a cup of tea. I do know that its a tiny amount of the work but I hope it speaks of my intended share of the hospitality! I haven't finished any tags, but intend to. So don't be holding your breath. And don't be expecting work of this standard from me....

Debbie and Dolores proving that no challenge is too great for them. Sigh.  The success was down to you who could come. We are automatic friends, as I said to Lizzie who was a first timer. The hospitality and work is all down to Jan and the only credit I can take in all of this is the skill in keeping her as a friend. Love that Lunch Lady!

  1. It was a lovely day in every sense (apart from that one aspect of which we will not speak) and was lovely to see everyone again, and meet Lizzie - get commenting Lizzie now we know you!! I don't know why you're surprised you didn't "do" anything - you never do!! your tea and coffee making skills and ability to chat to everyone (even in half the time, lol!) are second to none. A huge thanks to LLJ too, for the lovely food. And yes, photos will appear on Wednesday!

  3. It sounds like a wonderful crop, and of course, you are the diva that holds everything together. You don't NEED to make anything. After all, serving tea and chatting with everyone is what it's all about. I know if and when I'm able to join one, I won't be making anything, but talking my head off and meeting all the deskers I've come to "know" and love. Thanks for being YOU, our desker Queen.

  5. Hi Julia, and you don't need to make anything, you made the best group of blogging friends ever! We all had a great day, chatting, eating, drinking, occasionally crafting, lol as Wednesdays pictures will prove. We all love you, and our amazing LLJ, very much. Xxx

  7. I'd love to have been there! I would love to meet you all! I guess I wouldn't do much crafting either, but I'd go round the table chatting and getting to know people.
I love feeding people so I would probably have given LLJ a hand with the catering.
    Oh well....
Looking forward to seeing the photos!

  9. Just seen on LLJs blog what a lovely time you all had. Crafters get on with other crafters and it's definitely more fun with others.

Hope you have a good week. Sue

  10. It's a rare day when I actually create something at a crafting get together. I'm usually running around making sure everyone is having fun and enabling others to craft. I almost always make mistakes when I craft on the road so it rare that I even try.
