You can see too that I've made a quick page as a December calendar - am actually starting to need such a thing in my line of vision. I guess as December starts next week, that shouldn't be a surprise; but somehow it is. The green basket at back right is no longer a muddle of stamps waiting to be put away. I sorted them out. They are just Christmas stamps waiting to be put away. I've even put the acrylic blocks away. No idea why..it was the mood I was in!
So please, show and tell about your workspace this week, as 'the big season' approaches, we need your support and ideas more than ever! Put WOYWW in your post title and link here. Thanks. See you later.
Ooh someone else seems to have overcome the procrastination elves!!! Nice looking calendar.

I love that Shaz Kyla and myself were all waiting to pounce on your link together, lol! Those baskets scare me, they look as if they are about to topple.. Having read your last post I thought you WERE on top of things... but I am very smuggly announcing in my post today that I have nearly done my 2015 cards.. yay! now I can play for play's sake! well, soon...
ReplyDeleteMornning Julia how are you?Just wome up for a drink and thought I'd check on my tablet if the linky was up.Christmas cards everywhere this week. My dil has a few printers trays on her wall- you should get a good price on ebay, they are very collectable, and not cheap. Have a great week, Love & hugs, Shaz, #

ReplyDeleteYour desk is looking really tidy and I can't believe Christmas is only a month away where does the time go ... so quickly it seems these days
ReplyDeleteI think your looking like a cluttered but organized space with all those baskets waiting to be used up :)
hugs Nikki 6
Mm so know what you mean Julia about it being a surprise that it's December next week, as some (a tradie) said today it hasn't moved its been that way for thousands of years... still we are amazed... :)

Teetering baskets and getting organised?......and Dec sooooo close. What is the world coming to? So much to do. So little spare time to do it......guess that's nothing new.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Hugs,

I refuse to contemplate December until we finish celebrating 4 birthdays in November. Love seeing a stack of baskets with useful things :)
ReplyDeletesandra de @11
Wish I was at your class - i NEED to make my cards!! I had a bit of a tidy up /sort out last night too - just no card making :/.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week xx Soojay 14 xx
I'm through organizing my space, but I'd come and play in yours any day. I might even learn to stamp properly, although I feel I'm getting better. You and Sally have a knack for stacking baskets and such that look like they will topple if you look at them cross eyed. When I get near something like that, I often topple them by accident. So I suspect you wouldn't want me near that pile. I have to admit, your desk looks surprisingly clean (except for the baskets). It must have been that mood you got into.
ReplyDeleteI'll be glad when November is over and I can breathe again. This art every day is getting a bit steep. Have a great week, dear Julia. I'm thinking about you a LOT at this time of Thanksgiving in my country.
Teetering baskets, nothing wrong with that, that's my space all the time. I think it's just an rumour that it's December next week....isn't it?????
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.

All I can think of with those baskets is how good some fries (chips?) would taste! The diner I was at last week had themes lovely patterned paper inter baskets, just like those. Hold the grease!

Those basket look like any minute they will topple:)
ReplyDeleteHope having Decembers planner in front of you helps.
Hope you have a lovely day. Sue
Seeing that calendar page takes me back....doesn't that workshop seem light years ago now?!
ReplyDeleteHi Julia - have to say I've got lots of teetering going on as I frantically try to finish stuff! Why oh why do I do it! Happy WOYWW. Anne #23
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, now I'm scared listening to all our friends who have so many cards made. I hope they have ideas on their blog because I have gone brain dead this week, too much going on but maybe just need to simplify my designs if I am to get enough made. Did go to Hels workshop though on Saturday and it was brilliant. Off now to have a look around. Happy woyww, Angela 22
ReplyDeleteYikes! too busy to get organized for today. I won't take part unless I know I can visit at least my visitors! Poo. also, dead camera batteries, need to sort that out pretty quick. But I did want to pop in and read your post - I can see you in a tidy mood. Ha! Well, someone has to be, and raise the bar for the week.
ReplyDeleteSee you Sunday

Ha ha, yes, the baskets are about to go, any moment now! That would be nothing unusual here :) There's no sign of Christmas activities here ... yet.
ReplyDeleteRosA @ 25
Allistair would LOVE your desk this week. he would have found a way to get into one of the baskets, probably the top one then made a mess. I hope your workshop goes well this week.
ReplyDeleteA calendar certainly helps put things into perspective! I seldom use one, so I tend to be permanently disorientated. I can't believe it's December next week - I had to check! Sheesh, where did the time go? Happy WOYWW, Julia!
ReplyDeleteDon't collapse with shock to see me here again so soon. It is good to see someone so organised with Christmas. Despite having the majority of my cards done months ago, I still have a load of making to do. Have a good week. xxx Maggie #18
ReplyDeleteYou've got baskets teetering, Julia, I've got piles! It's just the nature of the crafting beast ... where else do we put our stuff when we are mid craftiness :) Baskets are not a good idea when you have a cat about ... Bonnie would be snuggled up in one given half a chance. Although I use a virtual calendar to keep me right we still have a real one hanging in the kitchen to be doubly sure we don't forget a thing. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #31
ReplyDeleteHey Lovely! Desk is looking organised. Those little baskets are a must aren't they? I use mine all the time. I do love how you create your layouts. I just cheat and buy a planner!! Take care Zo xx
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks way tidier than mine. I have baskets that I planned to use for projects - collecting the bits together and storing neatly so I knew where everything was whilst doing the project. Never happens though - usually end up full of things that need to be put away but don't quite get round to.

This is a very busy time of year, so I think your calendar was a good idea. Blessings, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI am getting so I can't function these days without a calendar - if only to tell me that we are at home!!! It's good to be back! How do you get your baskets to stack like that without falling over? Enjoy your workshop! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI love your 'teetering' baskets.
ReplyDeleteToni xx
Am impressed with your calendar page - looks good. I really should try to do this sort of thing, each year I think I will and each year I don't.
ReplyDeleteCor, you are turning into Miss Tidy - good for you - now I need to use that leaf from your book soon.
Hugs

I'm with you. I can't believe that December is next week! I have so much to do, but thankfully I read Arnoldo's post and know I need to relax more. :-)

Well, I am aware that December is next week but that is as far ahead as I go - Paris you know, yes! it's that time of year again!!!
ReplyDeleteLove those baskets - are you taking bets how long they will teeter for?
Have a good week
Christine

Can't believe December is so close. I wouldn't dare to have such a pile on my desk, but I do admit, that when I clear up, I also pack the acrylic blocks, pencils, scissors, rulers and such away... knowing I'll need them the moment I start oing something. Ran into a funny quote: " clear up a corner of your mind, and it will be filled with creativity" I think that's true for desks too! Happy woyww :)
ReplyDeleteKristiina #13
The baskets may be tottering; but organization is organization; so it works for me! Have fun at the workshop, and have a great weekend!
ReplyDelete-K #42
Those baskets look seriously precarious! Hope they get to the class before cascading to the floor! Ali x
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the workshop! Hope the baskets don't fall over before then!
Your pile of baskets make me feel at home, LOL! Well done on getting your December calendar done! Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteI'm only just coming around to the idea Christmas may be approaching... oh my I'd better shake my toosh!
ReplyDeleteI swear I am going to start in July next year (I say it every year!)
Great calendar... I was going to make one but... (sigh)
Happy WOYWW to you Julia. Thanks for hosting x
I love that you have such a grand window right in front of your work desk :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like some great projects are going on there :)
When I first looked at your desk all I could think of was Timber....
ReplyDeleteI just put my stamps away too, then I went to get a coffee and a bunch more jumped out all over the craft room!have a great week! Ginny M#34
