Here it is laydeees and jellybeans! The smaller of the two poppy stamps that you saw on my desk. Indeed, the number of you that made comment about liking it made me wish I had shares in Inidgo Blu! This particular card is for a workshop in a week or so. When I get a chance to make some cards for the hell of it, I'll have a play with the (very) large poppy image also in the same set.
I've used a marker pen to 'dot' the seeds in the flower centre..but am quite convinced that the whole centre should be dotty black. You may put me right or wrong, if you can; it would help. Meanwhile, I have 3 more cards to make. None of which you will clamour to see, but all of which I will force you to see at some stage. Because I'm all about being good to you.
LOVE it Julia!!! I added a touch of yellow to the centres of mine but your dots looks fab so stick with them! Are you posting this beauty on FB? I'd love to share it :) Can't wait to see what you do with the large poppy too. Jenny x
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Julia - that stamp looks super.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have mounted the poppy on an embossed background - it looks so effective.

Beautiful, Julia! I agree with you -- the whole centre should be dotty black. Hope you're enjoying vacation!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. I like how you incorporated a doily. We don't get poppies in KS, so I have no idea about the center. Either way, it's a real beauty. The shading and color are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card. I like how you've spattered on the craft card and mounted using the doily and embossed text. On poppies the centre could a bluey green or a limey yellow green. Your dots are fantastic. What a lovely stamp this is.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteIt's Gorgeous! I like how you have dotted it and think it ios great as it is. I usually have to add glossy accents to the dots but thats just coz i am addicted to using it!
ReplyDeleteThe card is fantastic!! Always love poppy stamps, this is a gorgeous one.. I think the centres are mostly black too, but whatever it looks amazing. Look forward to seeing the other cards too.
ReplyDeleteI love this card. Every fits just perfect.
ReplyDeleteHope oyu have a lovely weekend. Sue
Gorgeous card, I love poppies. I too think yellow would work in the centre but it's free lance in art innit?
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing the next ones.

I think it is however you wish to make them. Artistic license and all that. I have seen real poppies with totally black centers and real poppies where the stamen were white right in the center. Beautiful card any which way you go about it tho! Have a great weekend. Vickie
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous ! Thanks for sharing
