Not long ago, I was browsing a web shop called Make The Day Special, looking for something in particular. I'd had an idea for an ATC for WOYWW and thought it would be really easy to do, but I didn't have a stamp or die of the most important element. Less easy then, huh. Anyway, Make The Day Special was the last of many sights I'd browsed and I was losing the will to live. When this Impression Obsession set struck me. Almost woke me up to be honest, I'd looked at so many, I was definitely only semi concious!
The set contains this rather charming flapper gal and a bunch of sayings. These two cards illustrate two of them.
I think they're fun, and the others are just as good and you'll see them eventually. The amazing part of these cards is that I coloured them - with Copics. It was the same afternoon that I made the cute card that had to be coloured. I must have been on a roll. Haven't been since. But some days, paper piecing is too fiddly, solid stamps don't do it, and then there's just no choice. So, although I rarely use them, I have decided that I don't want to be without my Copics. Long may they sit in their box on the floor under the PC tower doing nothing. And I mean nothing. I don't even want to think about them spitefully drying out!
the stamps look great fun, and I love the quotes. hope your copics stay moist (ooh er!)
ReplyDeleteFab cards.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fab Friday. Sue
The joy of Copics is that you can get re-inkers...so you don't even have to worry about them drying out. I love the stamps and how you coloured them and the sentiments are priceless!
ReplyDeleteI have this set. I love this set. And I color only under duress.
ReplyDeleteGreat new stamps and sayings. I have the Merlot one, since I am an AI fan.
ReplyDeleteI don't own Copics, but have just about all the other brands......and I find I'm not using them often enough either.....
Such is the life of most of us, "Gotta Have It!" doesn't always mean we get around to using "IT".......LOL
Excellent! Jo x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, I'm interested in buying a stamp from your loved and now forsaken blog but can't get my email to send to you. Could you drop by at my blog and send an email to me so I can reply and make a link??? AOL email is a bit rubbish :( Very many thanks, hun, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI love how you worked these stamps ~ they're wonderful works! And it's true... about well behaved women. May we all make history!
ReplyDeleteLove those stamps! Great cards!
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh again at that card. LOVE it, though, and feel it is really true.
ReplyDeleteYour copic work is amazing. I've never used copics, but I can assure you, you did an EXCELLENT job, especially on the Merlot card.
