What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 308

Oh my life, how time is slipping away and I haven't yet made a single ATC for our Anniversary swap! And just look at my desk. It speaks of many things, but not of multiples of ATCs......

The ipad - pulled forward to allow me to access the screen with minimal effort (!). The hole punch is a remnant from some book keeping and will be banished now that I've noticed it's still there. There's a sheet of cheerful wrapping paper waiting to be put back in the wrapping paper box; I managed to make the present fit into one sheet for a change. then there's some Kraft card and a No 6 stamp. The significance of that is not wasted on you I know. Also, I rashly brought a pack of Project Life cards. Well why not. I've got some divided page protectors and no clue as to how best to use them...might as well throw money at them!
I stepped back a little too, to give you a (bad) picture of what's currently at my feet. Its Crop on Saturday and I'm already packing. Get me! It has less to do with being organised and more to do with being out on Thursday and Friday and knowing that I'll just end up in a whining blob if I don't do it beforehand....
I really need a new trolley bag tote thing..want to recommend one?

That's my tale for the week then people, now let's hear yours! Please put WOYWW in your post title. Your post needs to be desk relevant too! Link up here and we'll visit. Some, I must say (ME), visit very sporadically and slowly...do not adjust your set.

  4. Well I am proud to say I started on my ATC's, then I've had a slump called "workdays" slip in, but as soon as I get some time they'll be over and done with ready for the anniversary. Just have a friend over and she'll egg you on.

  8. I too haven't started any ATC's. I have decided to do a masterboard so hope to whizz through about 8 at a time....of course that will never happen and the day before I will known I will be panic making!!

Trolley tote...I have seen those, they always seem really expensive. I have an ordinary old lady shopping trolley but was thinking of a cheap old pull along suitcase as they open right up and because they have no compartments a variety of stash can be chucked in (or placed carefully in nice plastic boxes to keep it clean if you are not me!!)

  9. Laughing at Kyla's comment... I'll be bringing a suitcase as usual... it's easier on the train! that's for our crop, not your one on Saturday... time sure is zipping along, wish it would slow down a tad! Still we'll get there.. far too soon, but get there! Hope you find the tote of your dreams.

  11. Have to say I am struggling with my new craft tote ... it is not yet working for me quite as I'd hoped and I certainly need to tweak how I am utilising it! Maybe I got the wrong sort (for me) ... am stuck with it now though so will just have to tweak away!!! ATC's are done but still hope to make keepsake tags again like I did last year ... better stop blogging then and get on with them! Love to you, dear leader. Debbie xXx

  16. Join the club, Julia, not even thought about the design of said ATC's but do have some stamps set aside, so that is promising!! :D

Love the aerial shot, may arms are not long enough for that, being vertically challenged and also it is standing table I use, adjustable legs being why chose my desk. :D
Thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW!

  19. As usual you have plenty going on there :)
I am on top of the ATC situation and they should be in the mail to you Friday at latest, which should be plenty of time to reach you. Oh, I forgot to ask, how many people have you got coming to the crop?

  24. It seems there are no crops in my area...maybe I just don't hear about them. I would love to do that, it sounds like such fun. I just sit here looking out my window seeing the weeds growing in my garden knowing I need to be out there but wanting to play indoors today. Rain here this morning so I might get some play time!

  25. Like that 6 stamp. I had not thought about incorporating a 6....hum... Things will come together for you as they always do. Perhaps an idea for your ATC's will form while at the crop.

  29. Ok, back from being scanned, so I have time to comment now. Multiple ATC's not visible on mine yet either. I like those Papermania numbers- I managed to get the full set really cheap somewhere- can't remember where though. I have to start packing stuff to do anything at least a week beforehand if I want to be sure I've got what I want, otherwise it's just grab whatever comes to hand! Love & Hugs, Shaz xxx

  30. Can't recommend a tote as I just use a small travel bag with wheels. But I never pack lots of stuff and have to borrow or buy more at the event! Have a great week.

  35. I will go peek in the closet tonight. but, I actually do have a rolling bag I do like. ( and since I have had it a long time I am not sure its still made) my first one was a crop in style bag and it was like a black hole that I had to make my hubs haul up and down the stairs and lift into the back of my vehicle for me. I haven't went to a crop in years and years now so, it's gathering dust in the back of the closet. but, if I remember right one of the "things" about it was you could fold it flat if needed. and I have never done that to it. ~Stacy #47

  36. Loving your desk today Julia and SNAP..I am not a scrapper, but decided to use a project life folder, dividers and cards to put together an album for my Ma's 60th...eek!! I bought a Delsey underseat cabin bag on sale as my craft wheely tote thingy..underseat luggage is way cheaper than actual craft totes. Cx #49

  37. Still hoping I will get to one of the crops one of these years, Julia - before I get too old to travel! And talking of travel, I can highly recommend the wheelable tote I use to take stash on holiday ... even had it with me when we were down your way a few years ago. It's got lots of pockets, some removable and loads of space. I see that it is going for half the price I paid for it - here's the link:

  40. Hi Julia,

I've never understood smash journals or project life journals either, but feel I will end up with one at some point!

I suppose I should join in the ATC swap, never actually made one before, and I didn't do it last year.

    Happy WOYWW.

  50. Oh Gosh I have not started my atc's yet either. Did mean to stamp some and take on holiday to colour but time ran away with me. Must get my head into gear and my blog up to date on WOYWW. Am away next Wednesday too - but will take my lap top - no messing with programs that don't work any more.
Right, must not stay on here as I have the club to get ready for - why do we do these things to us - I am so tired and there is unpacking to do and ... so much to do, so little time.
Hugs, Neet (probably the last this week) xxx
