EDITED TO ADD: I got the week number wrong...and I really need this week! Sorry!!
If you've been here before, you will without doubt be quite surprised at the clean and tidy state of my desk. I am very well thank you. It is me. I have tidied up after completing the small selection of cards on the surface there.....because Wednesday is also workshop cutting counting and preparing day, so I need the space. Logic, man.
The very dark blue box at left holds paper pads. Not many, because I resist if at all possible. I find them too small really, so they have to be super lovely to make me buy them. There's the circle stencil that I've been using to play about with the bokeh idea...other people's are really lovely. The postcard with the baby pics is actually an invitation to the young man's Christening...how lovely! Of course my glasses - which very badly need upgrading. And just behind them...2 die cut snowflakes....yes dear Deskers..I'm now in the mood!
So, while I'm counting and cutting, share a view of where and what you're working on; it's fun, it's free and apart from twinges of envy or full on enabling, it's harmless! Please put WOYWW in your post title and make the post about your desk....Cheers!
Its good to be back after a spell of AWOL. My oh my what a clean desk you have, I'm impressed. Thanks for the reminder, I need to update my glasses too which for now is only for reading. What are the pegs for?

Funny you should mention your glasses need upgrading. Didn't you mail order the last ones from a place you were happy with? I need to upgrade mine and had planned to chat at crop about them but we both know how that turned out :(
ReplyDeleteAt least it isn't the scary big power tools this week. I've been catching up...
Happy WOYWW

I'm impressed with the state of your desk, and the cards on show... and confused as i thought this was only week 302... did I miss something?! anyhow, nice to be playing along again.
ReplyDeleteUh, oh! Morning Julia. Can I believe my eyes? I also have some - er - seasonal stuff - on my desk this morning!
ReplyDeleteA lovely tidy space there - hope it doesn't stay that way too long. Enjoy all the cutting and counting.
Take care. God bless.

Oh What Lovely cards I see on that VERY CLEAN DESK... and yes I had to check and make sure I was in the correct blog! Grin Pop by if you have a minute to see what I am up to this week! CHEERS! Scrapbook Lynne #13
ReplyDeleteNice circle stencil and thank-you for not mentioning the 'C' word!
ReplyDeleteKyla #16
I had written #302 on my post, but changed it, when I saw your linkup... but I have posted with #301 last time. Anyhows, happy WOYWW! I have just started to wonder if I'll need my first glasses, some small texts seemed to jump around in my eyes the other day :)
ReplyDeleteKristiina #17
Ha! I knew I was right on trend with that Bokeh technique business :) Have you tried it yet? And if so, did I miss seeing it? Anyway, some Bokeh stuff on my desk too, but I sure need that circle stencil!
ReplyDeleteRosA # 20
I am busy burning every second out of every minute today...hope to visit desks tonight. Yours is uncomfortably tidy. I get your reasoning though...
ReplyDeleteI really like that circle stencil. I imagine that it is quite useful in making backgrounds! Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks different this time. It is not only the tidyness. Hmm. What makes your time going by so fast?? I counted only 302!!!

Hi Julia...that sure is a cool clean desk, but it does help when you're about to make a mess with preps for a workshop. I do really like that circle stencil which will be great for the bokeh technique. Seems we are all in need of an upgrade in glasses - mine are always on my face sadly Enjoy your week Cheers RobynO#24
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, nice desk today. One of my fav. stencils and the flower stamp and the pink flowers are lovely too. Wait until you see my tidy desk today!!!!
ReplyDeletehappy crafting, Angela x
Sorry Julia, that's Angela x 28
ReplyDeleteA tidy desk with snowflakes in view? You say you're well but I'm not so sure :-) I shall be having a leisurely blog hop today I've been released from twinnie care today cos I need to get well.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Annie x
Hard frost and freezing fog here today. You don't want to see my table piled high with left overs from my craftiness do you? No - good - just my craftiness then. x Jo
ReplyDeleteA very tidy desk this week Julia but an eclectic mix of stuff on view...Christening & Chrimbo (well, at least the hint of...).
ReplyDeleteToni xx
Thought I'd gone to the wrong place when I saw bare desk (he he). Those cards look lovely but my old peepers can't see them very well, think I need an upgrade as well. I love the colours. That invite's really clever.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, I have to dish up dinner cos it's wednesday evening here.
Von #34
Glad you mentioned paper pads I need to run down to the poundshop and stock up for this Saturday's workshop. I'll get some more 2.5 readers while I'm there. I got some lovely purpley pinky ones last time.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week Julia.

A really different desk to what I expect from you;) Loving the flower cards.
ReplyDeleteAn invite to a christening, now that's something to look forward to.
Happy WOYWW

Pretty cards Julia. Snowflakes that is a word I can do without. But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. I've been wanting to try several stencils, but just no time lately. It's middle of the night, couldn't sleep so thought I'd make a few rounds. Thanks and enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteI have just recently started delving into my collection of smaller paper pads - most of which I've accumulated through trading over prizes over the years.
ReplyDeleteI've come to appreciate them more and more over time, esp when working on smaller things like ATCs, cards and tags - they are also easier to cut into (if you have trouble using up stash) than those larger pads (at least for me)!
Enjoy your WOUWW - enjoy your week!

Good morning! Are you one week ahead of yourself or have I missed a week? It's really crazy having been away for one week and I feel completely out of sync.
ReplyDeleteThat circle stencil is great. I saw a video about bokeh last week. Very interesting. How did yours turn out?
Have a good week,
Lisca#33
Your workdesk looks very peaceful this week. Happy WOYWW! #44
ReplyDeleteA tiy desk indeed Julia - ready for new projects and messy-ness (is that a word?) Enjoy! Happy woyww and a hug from misty Holland... I hope you get to see the sun today! Marit #45
ReplyDeleteYour desk sure looks spic and span this week! Sometimes we just have to take a bit of clearing time before we begin again! Glenda #46
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a 'ready' desk! Love those pink flowers! I fear I may have broken the rules - but just had to pass on news of a bargain!! Hugs, Chris 47
ReplyDeleteThe bokeh technique is most intriguing and seems to be taking the community by storm. Once Mr. Mojo returns, it is something I am keen to try myself. I am sorry to say that my surgery has been postponed yet again and we are back without a date. Hopefully it will be soon because I'm more than ready to get this done now.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,
Shoshi #49

ReplyDeleteHave a good week.

Hi Julia, your desk is nearly as clean and tidy as mine (because it is empty LOL). Had to smile because I finally put my Christmas stuff away before I went on holiday - I decided that having sat untouched for 6 weeks it was just taking up valuable workspace. Have a week in July earmarked for another bash but my plans seem to be going awry lately. Best not to plan it seems. Happy WOYWW Cindy xx
ReplyDeleteLoving your tidy desk, your glasses there just waiting. Love that invite, seems to be the modern things these days. Take care lovely. Zo xx 55
ReplyDeleteI love your desk, and seeing those pictures makes me want to go and scrapbook again, I miss doing it :) thanks for hosting WOYWW I love it!
ReplyDeleteGood tidiness, more room to craft, I like that.
ReplyDeleteFamfa 57
Didn't notice the error this morning was too bleary eyed. cards all finished up for a nose around desks.
ReplyDeleteSue#4
Oh dear...oh dear....oh dear...when you mentioned needing glasses, it made me think how happy I've been with my new glasses, just recently got new lenses and kept the frames because I love them so and then I just remembered my frames are DOLCE & GABANA!!! Sir Elton has boycotted them, and I love EJ...I even saw his concert right here in Springfield a few years ago and have loved him since I was a teenager and now I'm betraying him. All of this Julia because you mentioned your glasses. Don't tell Sir Elton on me! Love your desk though. Hugs. Sandy Leigh
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely crafty space! And ooooo 2 Ott Lites, that is a great idea. I can't see the dirt on the window either : ). Love those wine tags. Happy WOYWW! #51
ReplyDeleteVery tidy desk .... I thought I was in the wrong place at first. I changed by number to 303 when I saw yours this morning .... Talk about following like sheep ... I'm thinking of becoming a stalker lol
ReplyDeleteHave a good week ...
Just seen that Shoshi s op had been cancelled again OMG they need to camp out there until they do it
Janet @14
I am so totally going to hunt down that circle stencil you have. I am not really that impressed with the one I tried cutting with my circle dies... thinking maybe trying a thinnner sheet of packaging and doing it again but, honestly my circle dies have a hard time cutting paper. ( they are one of the first sets I ever got so, I may have worn them out) ~Stacy #59
ReplyDeleteHello I've missed the last 3 weeks but I'm back from my hols now :) I try to have a clean up every once in while but it doesn't last long.
ReplyDeleteOoh tidy desk, I like the look of that stencil that is semi-hiding! Cx #60
ReplyDeleteA clean(er) desk is indeed lovely. I know I always feel better when I get some of the stuff up off mine. Have fun creating!
ReplyDeleteYour desk is always so interesting Julia! The circle stencil/bokeh is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I am a fan of your tidy desk or not. I swear cleanliness makes it look smaller. LOL! I know it can hold lots and lots of goodness though. PJ #64
ReplyDeleteThat's impressively tidy!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous of all the tidy. I must now go make my own!!! But not before learning about the history of deskers.
ReplyDeleteSy. #67
I'm so late this week, and I apologize. Glad to see that you are going to try bokeh, Julia. It's such fun!
ReplyDeleteMy glasses need an upgrade too. Just have to find the time for the appointment...
Happy WOYWW.

Clothespins! I really get attracted to clothespins!!! Nice clean desk (for a change!) Wish i could say the same! Happy WOYWW! patsy
ReplyDeleteGood Thursday Morning. Don't worry about the number, I just failed to notice Wednesday at all until the alarm went off at 6.30 this morning for regular Thursday event that I realised I had missed Wednesday altogether. Love the invitation, very good idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, even if I am not posting.
Chris
I'm back again... only four weeks later (and two days, oops!).
ReplyDeleteIt's busy here, but I have been making stuff, so there are a few photos of Wednesday's makes. I'm so late this week that it's Friday - and I'm number 71... wow...
Your desk really does look rather tidy - scary! But there is a lot of Potential visible there - I'm sure we'll see some lovely makes next time!
