WOYW?W 277

Check this page if you want or need something close to a rational explanation of this title, or post.  There's another link from there to tell you how to link, if you decide to join in.

Meanwhile, Deskers of the world...I'm completely over the tidy desk thing.  In fact, I think I have achieved total coverage!

I've had to crop this rather severely at left, because there's stuff there that I don't want you to see yet, and I didn't notice it until I'd uploaded the photo.  You will see it. So you can clearly see that I'm still enjoying the company of a small bottle of gin and the WOYWW5 desk alien.  All the Distress Stains and soaked tissues at right have been brushed aside in favour of another idea that popped into my head.  And that's where you find me today..at my desk, trying to corral ideas and compose myself.  Ha!
I've shown you mine - please show me yours.....put WOYWW in your blog post title and link here so we can see what you're up to and where you're up to it.
WOYWW Housekeeping:  This is not an advertising forum; generally us Deskers aren't averse to seeing new stuff, but the post being al about what you have to sell with links to YOUR products, TV shows, Etsy and etc on this particular MEME is not cricket.  But you already know that..and you can judge it too - your comment rate will not match the hit rate...as soon as the advertising starts, Deskers click away.

  3. LOL! I have a similar story. Old old packets, cans, and bottles. I took out a full rubbish bag full between all the food cabinets, the pantry, and the ack of the fridge. Wish the big coffee day wasn't the day before my in laws arrive. The cupcakes look better naked to me. :)

Loved the unfiled layouts btw, and happy WOYWW

  4. I've gone the other way, have had to clear stuff from beside the craft mat on the floor as the phone engineer is coming this afternoon.. so the bathroom is full of stamps and the sofa, and.... you get the idea!

  5. Sometimes the ideas just come spilling out alllllll over one's desk lol. Loving the deer and the gingham, looking forward to the reveals : D. #6

  7. Hmmm this is a working situation, isn´t it? And that gives a much better view on the person than a tidy desk. I love your´s!!

  8. Doh! I meant to actually comment on THIS post as well. Silly me, but DH was babbling in my ear as I was trying to comment. I was going to say your desk is looking a little like my desk on a normal week. But I am now too curious about the big reveal to think of much else...l

  10. Aha Julia, I see you are still ;knocking the gin back. Glad it is a decent brand. Like the message on the iPad but even better I like your iPad stand. And what is that wood with WOYWW on it I espy? And is that something to do with the letter "C" I can see in the foreground?
Oh dear, crawl back to bed, it is still a little early.

  11. Morning Julia. Nothing to hide on my desk I'm afraid - in fact - nothing on it at all!
Your desk looks really exciting, though, with lots to peek at.
    Take care. God bless.

  12. Yes, something partially hidden on my desk too! More by accident though. I have to layer rather than push aside or it will all end up on the floor :)

  13. I've got a clear work surface this week because we had guest at the weekend, so I had to clear the dining table (my work desk!). Now, I've piles of stuff in boxes on the floor and I don't know where to find anything!

  14. Has, I don't have to hide things, they just get buried normally. I was trying to see if the gin had gone down a bit, hard to see from this angle. So nice and relaxing to see mess back on your desk.
I noticed your ipad has made it back to a stand. Is that the deckchair? It' looks different. Have a great week playing with ideas.

  19. I so enjoy looking at your desk. The more I look, the more I see:)

I hope my WOYWW post today is ok, as I did mention a magazine, as I used the freebies from it to make the two cards I am showing.

I hope you have a lovely WOYWW.

  20. Ooh Julia, I'm itching to get in and tidy your desk - but you must bear in mind though that I even tidy my scissors away in my desk drawer between uses and can get them out and put them away dozens of time during a project. I love the Christmas papers and the little deer, and also the Tidings stamps - is it a Quietfire one? Hope you have a good week, Diana #31

  21. Sounds like you've had some people trying to sell their wares on WOYWW. Everyone knows that's a no-no, except people who don't get it. They are the same folks who demand we comment with word verification, then also add comment moderation. Those are the ones I want to strangle (grin).

OK, not playing, but had to stop by and say hello anyway. Thank goodness, I'll be back next week. I'm so tired of not playing. Like the saying on your tablet. Also like the idea of soaking tissue paper in distress stains, even if I don't have any.

Have a great WOYWW and super rest of the week.

  24. I can spot my current favourite Christmas paper pack at the front of your desk!

Thanks for the nosey at your desk - mine isn't nearly as interesting!

  25. You have me intrigued as to what we aren't supposed to see yet. I see what looks like the makings of a Christmas card.

  26. Morning Julia! Tidy desks are vastly over rated - lost a die last night and spent nearly an hour looking through bins etc because the desk was tidy so it couldn't have been there - finally found it still attached to the cutting plate which I had also (unusually) put away. Not linking today as not about much but wanted to say 'hi'. Hugs, Cindy x

  27. Glad to see your desk is craftily full to bursting!! Mine is empty but I think I have the perfect excuse this week. x Jo

I see you have started on the Christmas cards. I hope you'll show us some finished ones.

  30. Hi Julia and happy WOYWW this week. Looks like you have been busy and it looks like Christmas. I can relate to the 'brushed aside' actions...I'm always doing that, probably why I often have two cards on the go at once. Cheers and enjoy your week RobynO#29

  32. I keep on being amazed by the way others (you) are able to work with all that stuff on the table... am I really the 'neatest' worker on the planet, and is that a good or bad thing? I LOVE to have close looks at all the creativiness, materials and papers and stuff that is going on and used around the world though, so I am so glad I found you and joined woyww 19 months ago... it makes the Wednesdays special! Thanks Julia! Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #47

  33. It's always nice to come play along on Wednesday's. It is such a nice break in my busy week. Love your desk this morning and the gin bottle is something you will probably never see on my desk. I love the smell of gin but not the taste. Have a great week!

  34. Hi Julia, I am back for a second week of fun. I can't wait to see the bits that you cropped out of the photo. My desk does not show anything crafty except for the new things I have been picking up here and there. Joynana #55

  47. Lovely busy desk, Julia. Wish we could see the hidden stuff though. Like the way your ATG gun is 'parked' - mine ends up all over the place. Thanks for your comment last week - and I quite agree with you about the wisdom (or otherwise!) of a company allowing people to buy the dies and then save on the Scan n Cut. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are having a great day and have a lovely crafting week to come. Hazel, WOYWW #69 x
