T Tuesday

I was doing the most normal of chores on Sunday and thinking about the week to come. Already negotiating with the clock and my conscience over some things that have to be done, some things I 'd like to do and all the regular stuff in between.  I finished hanging out the washing, returned to the kitchen and spent some minutes looking for my coffee. Finally I caved in and asked Mr Dunnit why he'd hidden my mug of coffee when he knew I needed it first thing.  He feigned innocence.  And then pretended to be hurt that I could even think he would be so cruel. I decided to step into my workroom and have a short sulk.

And of course it revealed itself to me.  I'd put it on top of the garden waste bin whilst I saw to the laundry.  Oh really.  How could I be so stupid? Oh man, that's easy!  I was gracious in my apology and Mr D suggested the photo.  Because it helps me to look foolish probably.  Lucky him;  I didn't photograph his keys when I once found them in the fridge after a frantic 30 minutes of turning the house upside down. Gracious, but perhaps not magnanimous!

Sharing with Elizabeth and Bleubeard this morning, have a lovely day filled with cups of your favourite!

  5. lol at you Julia. reminds me of the time Doug and I spent 45 minutes turning the house upside down for his car/house keys, only to discover they were in his pocket all the time, and my DIL searching the house from top to bottom for the phone, which she couldn't get to ring to find it, because it had been off the base too long. Found it later when she went to do dinner- on a tray she'd picked up and put in the fridge. xxxxx

  8. Hello and Happy T Day! This made me laugh so thank you. Also reminds me of my hubby putting his cup down all over the house and/or outside on the mower and forgetting where he left it. When doing laundry it is a good time to daydream and forget you had a drink with you I think, lol.
Thanks for sharing this funny story and picture to go with it. Have a good day.

  11. I'm laughing, too. At least you found your coffee before mold set in. I remember the time I looked for DAYS for my eye glasses. I finally called my friend Scott who came and helped me look for them. After looking everywhere I could think of, both of us were stumped. For some strange reason, I opened a cabinet door that holds baking supplies, and there they were, sitting on the shelf. For the life of me, I felt more foolish than you EVER could. And I didn't even get the photo to tell the tale, either.

Thanks for sharing a good laugh with us this T Tuesday.

  15. Well, hello Julia! I have been MIA from WOYWW and have missed reading your blog.

Love the fact that you an set your drink down and then can't find it. I do this ALL the time, and that leads to two or three cups, half full and cold, sitting around the house. I even manage to loose it in the microwave...LOL

    Happy T-day

  17. I am smiling at the photo, and the story - it rings true with us all I think. I had to come home once because my ex hubby couldn't find his keys so he could go to work... (luckily only a 10 minute walk) and there they were on the dining room table...

  26. Glad you found your coffee. Given a choice I'd rather lose my coffee than my keys. I can always make more coffee although I might not have it in my favorite cup. (Your cup is cute!)

  35. Popping in from T on Tuesday - apologies for the ever-so late visit and I'm very glad that I did. I giggled at your story and have to tell you that around here I am known as 'the bank of england' because I am very good at putting things somewhere safe - and then not remembering where that place is!! Very annoying, but it is nice around Easter time to come across a 'forgotten' Christmas present. TFS Julie, have a good day :D
