What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 242

Do join us if you're of a mind - the 'what' and 'how' are explained in separate pages just a click away above this post.

Now then, Deskers.  Ask me how much I've done at my desk this week.  Nothing.  Except pile it with non-craft related stuff and shuffle it around.  Argh.  Frustrating.  So, I got home from work for lunch on Tuesday and whilst there was light, took photos of (possibly) more interest than my dull desk.
The ink cupboard. Featuring a shelf for embossing powders.
The scrapbooking embellishments, and paper cupboards. Co-starring a few punches.
The C6 card and envelopes cupboard.

It sort of proves a back-to-front point.  I may be very messy on the surface, but underneath, all is organised serenity!  Well, close.  So now, gentle Deskers, whilst Mr D and I spend his birthday installing a Reception desk somewhere in Winchester (my life is a crazy pattern of desks), please join in and show us yours - just put WOYWW in your post title to make it easy to find.  Don't link if you're just publicising your business, next TV appearance or another MEME with no connection to WOYWW...save those for other blog posts huh?

Oh and one last note - the WOYWW Crop on May 24th...I'll put a page up top with more detail and room for comments and blahdy blah. I'll do this soon.  Before May.  Don't worry!

  1. Yep, you are one organized gal below the surface.

How sad that Mr. D has to be away and working for his birthday. But at least the two of you will be together and that is one priceless memory.

    Happy WOYWW from #1.

Please don't say that small amount of stash is all you have? Not possible, surely? I will send you some of mine, as soon as I can organise a shipping container.

  6. Oh, very well done Julia, but what about the rest of the room? I know you have to have more stash than that!

Poor Mr. D having to work on his birthday. Hopefully you won't be too tired to catch a nice dinner on the way home. My DH and I have hit the number of years that birthdays are just an other day in the week, month, year and decade!

I am with Shaz on the size of photos posted. I make mine super size if possible, but they bleed over to the side bar and can't be seen. LOL I can see yours, mine and Shaz's with out my readers on...LOL

    Have a great week kid-o

  13. Well Miss Julia, isn't that a tidy cupboard. I'm proud of you. I've been working on organizing, but it seems I am easily distracted by shiny objects. I am trying to downsize and some little neighbor girls will be winners of my probably never to be used stash. Happy Birthday Mr. D I hope the two of you find some time to celebrate. Happy WOYWW...see you again soon.

  16. Ah, I see... your desk is like an iceberg....much more going on below :-)
Did hubby make the shelves? They look like they slide out and have grab holes? If so, brilliant idea for those of us with arthritis....he should market them. Glad you are able to spend his birthday together, albeit working!

  21. Think I must have caught the organising bug from you Julia as that's what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks. Only my stamps thought, it would take me a couple of months more if I moved on to card send paper etc. good to be back after a long break.

  32. Lovely organisation.
I have to say that my desk is currently stacked with non-craft stuff at the moment and the floor around it looks like a bomb has exploded where I'm still trying to arrange and put away my stash in my new cupboards.

  44. Like the shelf space Julia, but I really need to see sun today. I'd like to have a big window and and a closet so I could put some things behind closed doors. Noticed some comments on size of photos....most visits you can click on the photo and enlarge for better views. I keep mine smaller as my blog has been shut down because of the space photos take up. Happy WOYWW

I am glad you got to work together on Mr D's birthday, that had to make it better for him! We had a blizzard, so I am staying in and diving into some serious card making today with a pot (or two) of tea!

  76. I cannot believe that I actually forgot that I had not left a comment for you, Julia. Hopefully, better late than never. Like you and Shaz Brooks, I have labelled the sides of all my ink pads, but mainly with labels. Must try Shaz's idea with white or silver pen. I wish my cupboards and shelves were as tidy as yours, but I am on the way as you will see next week. Hope you both managed some kind of celebration for Mr D's birthday. Thank you for your hospitality this week. xx Maggie
