What's On Your Workdesk? Christmas Day Edition 238

The children (Miss D and her boyfriend, 20 and 21, respectively) will still be asleep, and so it is true to say that my work desk isn't a desk this Christmas morning.  I am to be found, in my freshly laundered dressing gown flitting about between lounge and dining, clearing up after Christmas Eve jollity and preparing for some present opening. Mr Dunnit will be beavering in the kitchen..we are both good at starting the day early, but separately! Having to walk past this beauty every time I move from room to room is making me happy.  I may well be humming.  Having my lovelies at home for a Christmas at home (we are rarely at home on this day) is such a big treat. And so I think it's OK to show our tree as my workspace this week.

Whatever this time of year means for you, whether you choose to surround yourself with people or play a solo game today, I hope you have a great day.  If it's Christmas for you, I wish you the happiest Christmas.
Now, if you'd like to join the gentle Christmas party and tell us what you're doing today, I know some of us will be able and delighted to visit for a chat.

  3. What a beautiful live tree. It really looks like Christmas at your house.

My guests were supposed to be here yesterday, but because some roads and streets are still icy, they decided to wait. So they should be here in time for breakfast.

Have an exceptional Christmas, dear friend. I am SO glad I met you in this world wide blogging community! I think you get around more places than Santa! Looks like I'm # 1.

  16. Hi Julia, your tree is lovely and your plans for the day sound just perfect. Ours will be a quiet day, just the two of us and cat, of course, chilling out, amusing ourselves watching TV, Christmas DVDs and, if we feel like it, burying ourselves in our chosen book for Christmas ... just a perfect day. Happy Christmas to you all, may your day be just perfect too. Hugs, Elizabeth x #13

  21. And a chilly good morning to you (the morning is chilly, not my greetings which are warm and heartfelt). That's a very pretty tree you have there. We don't do trees but can you imagine the fun the cats would have if we did? The thing would never be upright. Have a lovely and peaceful day with your family. We'll be going out with the mum in law for Dim Sum later today.

  26. Haha, I felt the same about windows, low on my list of priorities but himself was cleaning the windows - I was just doing the bits he missed which I thought looked worse for him cleaning the windows in the first place!
Yes the weather was so murky poor MIL couldn't be fetched for her dinner due to being in Bradford on Avon pretty much cut off by the floods without a very long detour!
