Here is the first of many - well, 12 calendar pages for next year. The reason I'm doing them so soon is that a handful of other crafters want to do a calendar workshop, so while the going is good, I'm making up kits as I make up pages. No prizes for guessing which month this will be. Funny..can't work in order with such things.
So now, share with us your work space and what you're currently doing. You're an inspiration. Link your WOYWW titled post here and we'll come by. See ya!
heres a short one for you Julia!

I'm going to guess October. I've keep saying that I'm going to make a calendar, but I never do it. Happy crafting #1
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page, love the pumpkin die and what a fabulous background!
ReplyDeleteDebxx
I strive to work out of order as I get ideas, but then the OCD kicks in lol. There is a lot of desk showing under the craftiness : D. #7
ReplyDeleteOh I think your button jar has become a little lower and I'm glad I'm not the only one stores my inks upside down :) hugs Nikki #4
ReplyDeleteI have a little Halloween Candy to if anyone wants to join in :)
Oooh...I'd love that calendar workshop. Your desk looks so lovely today! Sandy Leigh #11
ReplyDeleteI'm finding more and more that I also can't work in order. I have to work in order in my calendar, but that's because it's a daily thing (grin). Nice to know I'm not the only one who wants to skip around to avoid boredom.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW from #2.
I love calendars! Your desk intrigues me today!

I can get the month but the grey rectangle beats me. BJ#17
ReplyDeleteOh and I am sure Tim Holtz said you don't need to store the inkpads upsidedown at his workshop last week. He had a couple of other tips which I am going to blog when I am feeling better. BJ#17
ReplyDeleteWell that is a lot of calendars to do.. have fun with that, and cant wait to see them.
ReplyDeleteRoberta 19

ReplyDelete-Tera #9
Now I would have just made the calendar page and it would occur to me afterwards about the kits... so you must be organised!! I hope you are using the haunted house die... I'll have to think of something to do with it pretty soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you share the pages when you're done with them. I can't get the month. Is it in English - LOL.
ReplyDeleteApril
Hi
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of you and Jan today - a half a world away but I'm guessing not so very much in sensibilities and thinking the world was a pretty amazing place. Then I open up to see what week we are one and read your lovely sentence about tranquility and I literally snorted. My desk is anything but tranquil this week. But still, perhaps you catch my drift! Have a great week.
Hugs from Alaska

I'm flat out thinking about the next week let alone the coming months. Your Autumn inspired calendar page looks beautiful, the background looks to be shimmery and I love the cute pumpkin. Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteJanene #36
I always want to make a calendar for my desk - but never get round to it... this will be a great workshop. I'll try and imagine what happens... Was awake in the night to link (toilet trip!) but only to find my anti virus programme had found a trojan virus burrowing its way through my computer, lol, so it took an hour to remove it (all, hopefully, though I'm not sure!) Have a good day, lovely Julia! Helen 23
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of industry going on at your desk Julia...calendars are great idea must put that in my to do list. Have a great week Cheers RobynO#21

Well done for getting so far ahead. I do a calender each year, but it is just printed off with most of the birthdays already in place, using my Family Tree programme. Hope you get it all done together with the kits you need. xx Maggie #6
ReplyDeleteOne sick cat has me sitting in the morning sun at 'whaaat time'??!?!?! wondering .... where did the buttons go?
ReplyDeleteHave a good day everyone.
Bishopsmate #50 (50 did you hear!)
I am impressed, Julia. Such organisation - well done! The only thing I can think of for next year is Dr appointments for hubby - we have already said goodbye to one specialist for 2013!!
ReplyDeleteI also always store my ink pads upside down - thought it was the right thing to do... seemed sense somehow.
Have a great week of calendars and preparation.

I got lots of new goodies on my desk. Yeah!
ReplyDeleteTY for the visit. :D I must say that given the talented crafter you are, your comment about the project I'm working on made me giddy. In all honesty it's not hard to have even a so-so project look fab when using G45 papers. I'm currently sporting the Bird Song collection which I absolutely LOVE!!! I'm excited to see how your calendar turns out. I'm not one to work in order either. Keeps things interesting. How's your lower back feeling??? Better I hope. (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteKimmie #3
FABULOUS - I do love coming here and seeing what you are all up to. It's like a wonderful giant Hop... I sit with my coffee and gather inspiration from all these wonderful crafters :-D
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing this JULIA x

Hi Julia, thanks a lot for hosting another one of those great chances to visit other people's workdesks, it's always very inspiring. I can't even remember for how many years I plan to make a calendar, no success so far ... Suzanne
ReplyDelete#59
Hi again, just want to say no.. that's not shore polish it's a tub of green Inka Gold. fun stuff. Roberta 17
ReplyDeleteHi again Julia, Oh I know, I have seen the Unity Stamps over here, well some of them. But Unity keep doing these sales, and offers, right now for example there is 55% to 70% off some stamps and sets, and all the ones I bought were 55% off at least, so I wouldn't get them that cheap (and Unity threw in a couple of free Itty Bittys and some journal card things), I haven't worked out if the tax and fee made them more than here, I doubt it. HMCE seem to have dropped the limit to £15 so they catch more.
ReplyDeleteCarol
Wow you certainly are ahead, what a fab idea doing the kits as you make yours, very organised. I really really love the card/paper on the right hand side which is browns, coppers and golds flourishs, did you make this? If you did do you mind me asking how? And if it was bought can I ask where? I really really want one lol. Happy Woyww :-) Kezzy xxx
ReplyDeleteWorking in order????
ReplyDeleteI don't compute that idea!
I have missed all of you! Been missing in action for months. Love your calendar!
