What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 217

Find out what WOYWW is.  HERE
Find out how to WOYWW. HERE
These are pages on this blog so can be accessed any time through the link in the right hand margin.

EDIT: 07:50 am (BST) Sorry about the missing Mr Linky attachment..please don't ask me why it didn't publish, it must be a mistake I've made....however -  I started again and it's worked.

So now you know, come on and join in, we need to know what other people are doing. Well, I do.  I find it inspiring.  If only for my shopping list!  Here's mine; taken late Tuesday..basking in a weak sun that has broken through the clouds a tad too late.  Shucks.
Oh look at the over exposure on that.  Ah well.
You can quite clearly see that my plan for Tuesday did not come to fruition.  The 'to do' list pad is centre stage...with no list on it.  But still, the printed page is way prettier than any deadline!  At left is a plastic file thingy that contains real work type papers and at right you can see a Chic Maker jewellery kit that I have every intention of getting to.  I think it was April's kit.  The button jar overfloweth, the deckchair that I use for an ipad stand is housing paperwork and a fabulous card from Deeyll; I will show you that detail another day.  The acrylic drawers that are usualy slightly (!) hidden by detritus contain and corral the desk essentials like foam pads, glue dots, ribbon-into-bow-maker-template-thingy and other such blahdy blah.  The silver lined pot still awaits a nice spruce up with some paper.  Somehow I feel obliged not to use it like a pot and put things in it until I've actually 'aletered' it.  From a pot to a pot.  yeah, don't get me started about 'altering'.  The green wheeled bin outside the window is for garden waste.  Yes, gentle WOYWWer, I spent some of Sunday on my hands and knees, trying to get the better of next door's gifted bindweed.  I actually did some gardening.  I know - my creativity has absolutely no limit!
Show and tell then, please - spare me the agony of more weeding.

  37. Frankly I'm impressed that you have an official To-do list. I finally made a new one at the office and found the old one was weeks in the past....and that I hadn't gotten everything done. Congrats on the gardening. There are days I love it and some days it is just a flat out chore. I must say though, I rather like your green bin! We're very excited here. New house and at the beginning of summer it was all dirt and rock and now we have lovely grass in the front and on the side. Sweetie doesn't wish to spend all summer mowing grass, which I certainly understand, so the back area still has some rocks and lots of dirt as we ponder what to do...and save our money to do it!!

  63. Sadly, with my havfever and all, I cannot do weeding! I feel I'm missing out.

  64. We must have had the same thing on our minds this last weekend because I spent all of Sunday weeding as well! The weather was just too nice to stay indoors and the weeds were just too ridiculous to not do something about them! lol I got here late only to find I'm not that late since Mr. Linky was MIA for a bit, still thank you so much for hostessing us every week. You should check out my post...I think it qualifies me for some sort of award for brevity! Especially coming from me! lol :) Hugs! Deeyll #33

  65. Eeew no, I get my Mister to do the weeding. It would be easier to just spray those darn weeds. My neighbour puts boiling water on the ones on her pavers and it works. It's evil but it works. I read your to do list from the last post, made me tired just reading it, no wonder you didn't get it all done.
You certainly have a very nice, almost scarily tidy desk.
    Have a great week.

  70. Hi Julia - just got back from holi-bobs and it looks as though someone has upended a tanker of growmore on the garden whilst we've been away, so I have every sympathy with the weeding situation - luckily it is pouring down today so I have a legit excuse for not doing anything about it! Though do not fear my garden is wonderfully kept and tidy, not by me obviously, but by my very greened fingered mum and dad!! Ah well, I'm off to pick up my new prescription sunglasses not that I need them today as it's all cloud here, but the sun is set to return tomorrow so I shall test them out! Take care Zo xx 77

  90. Hi Julia - Burst out laughing when you mentioned the green wheelie bin for a second I thought you were going to "alter" it LOL - I don't garden - I grow weeds and only weeds - wish it was different but there you go... the only thing that survives is the random chilli plant from where nobody knows and a plant in my bathroom that thrives on being flooded... have a great week - Mxx

  109. What?!!! You have bindweed too! oh dear gosh - it's driving me CRAZY! I close my eyes and see it. I have nightmares about it. I blame my husband for it.

    ugggh!

  110. I'm quite glad I can't see my garden too well from my desk or I'd be guilted into doing something about it more often! My personal weed enemies in this garden are a Terminator bramble by the bird table and little walnut trees which pop up wherever the squirrels plant them and don't seem to show themselves until they have a root that goes all the way to Australia .... :o) Happy Wednesday!

  112. Yay, another fun week of nosyness in each other's businesses! Love this event! You know, gardening is as sweet as crafting. Actually I'd love to combine the two... talking about getting inspired by WOYWW... Thanks :) Happy WOYWW! Hugs, Wendy

  115. Hi Julia. Thanks for popping over to my blog this week. I am not really a computer whizz, but I love what I am able to do with it, and there are so many helpful tutorials around to learn from. My husband gets annoyed because I don't understand any of the jargon, or how any of it works, but I tell him I can use the washing machine without knowing how it functions, so I can use a computer without all the technical stuff. (That's what he's there for!)
    Have a great week. Kate x #18

  117. Weeding is not one of my favourite pass-times. Our garden 'wheelies' (yes we have two) are brown in colour. For some reason our local authority went with green for general waste when they first introduced wheelies so we have brown for garden and blue for recycling.

That button pot is getting a little on the full side...time for another pot?

  118. Thanks for your visit, Julia. Actually, the huuuuge space you so admired is my old ARTHaven in our present house, with everything removed! See my previous blog posts to see how gorgeous my new room is. I am hoping to get things in there asap but there's an awful lot of other stuff to sort for our move, not least getting Mum's stuff out of storage and getting her annexe sorted before we can move her back down from my sister's.

  120. Hi Julia. I love the picture out the window of GREEN! Summer here is dead brown unless watered and weeded daily. Even most of the weeds die, unless they are watered too, or have any thorns. I miss a green yard. Your desk looks so organized! I think I need drawers, haha! Have a great week, Rasz #142 (but at least I made it in this week!)

  121. Happy Wednesday! If only I could get my garden to bloom enough to weed! :)

  122. I'm halfway across the world but the view out the window looks about the same :) Right night I'm running the oven on it's self cleaning cycle. LOL...I think I'd take weeding over the smell of the oven. But...last night I learned first hand why you poke holes in baked potatoes before baking them.

    Thanks for hosting!
