What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 186

Just to restore some balance and remind you that we're midweek as opposed to the weekend that it actually feels like....yep, the Christmas edition of WOYWW.  Post Christmas really, some of you across-the-ponders will be going back to work, whilst us Brits hunker down for a whole week off in a lot of cases, certainly most of us have today off too.
I'm not in panic mode, but I rather think I need to make more effort...  The picture's a bit blurry and exactly as I left it on Christmas Day, mid morning.  Once Miss D was awake, I stopped.  It wasn't a tough choice.  And it still looks the same, except the daylight hasn't appeared!  As reported, I have two sets of calendar LOs to make, and the best time to deliver them is Christmas, huh.  Hmmmm.  Could do better then!
Actually, it looks quite tidy does it not?  Yeah well, that'll change.  Just as soon as I get back to it.
Enjoy Boxing Day and any other time you have off.  If you've time, post a photo to your blog of wherever and whatever you're doing this holiday.  I can't show you our coffee table.....it's piled high with gifts for other people...yep, we're doing it all again today, so I shall be even slower to visit you, on account of the visiting I'm doing.  Well, I understand.

  3. Merry Boxing Day and WOYWW! I am so excited to be here - and so high up the list. Makes up for being up so early due to pain! I am definitely looking forward to Thursday, when we can sort of get back to normal (apart from having a tree in the living room and tinsel on the bannisters). Now I see why my parents never seemed to be excited by this time of year! Ali x #5

  8. Still nice and busy on Christmas day I see! I had to clear all my table off and lay it the day before so we could eat our Christmas dinner yesterday so no crafting in my house! Hope you had a lovely Christmas and have a great New Year too. Thanks for all the fun you bring us each week.

  9. Ah but there is still a week before the calendars are really required - loads of time. Thanks ever so much for running WOYWW, so glad I came upon your site and eventually plucked up the courage to join in as it is so much fun. Looking forward to next years fun now. Have a Good New Year, love BJ #15

  10. . No crafting for me, not much cooking or cleaning or anything, really but I would have been sad to miss the holiday WOYWW due to a minor surgery, a bit of pain, and a slightly dopey brain! So here I am. I am missing my desk A Lot, maybe in a day or two I'll get there.

Hoping you and yours are having a most wonderful holiday

  22. Hope you enjoyed yesterday and you aren't the only one who crafted a little on Christmas Day! I did too! Trouble with being retired is that every day is a holiday so we never get the value of bank holidays! But it's GREAT being retired!
    Have fun and relax !

  23. Happy boxing Day, Julia. The nearest I got to crafting yesterday was to do a few rows of crochet! Your calender pages look fab. But then with my predilection for anything dotty - whether polka's or Swiss - I'm bound to like them. I second Jo's comments above ... it's GREAT being retired but everyday is a holiday :)) Hugs, Elizabeth x #30

  37. Happy Boxing Day, y'all. ;) I'm a university employee, so I don't go back to work until the 2nd. *happy dance* I'm going to spend today making a slip cover (loose cover to all you Brits) for my huge, hand-me-down couch. Then back to trying to clear room in the studio! <3 y'all.

  38. Hope your day is full of cheer and merriment. We did our major gift exchange Sunday, as that is when I got my whole family together, but we have been ho, ho, ho-ing for the last two days at other homes. Can't miss all the good food! LOL

  41. Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day Julia,
I hope you had a fabulous day yesterday enjoying all the festivities with your family and friends.
I didn't think WOYWW would be up and running today, so that was a nice surprise.
I'm home alone at the moment so I'm going to dash around as many desks as I can ;D
Enjoy your day and thanks for sharing.

  48. Christmas does get in the way of crafting, doesn't it? :)

Thanks for your comment on my blog - yes, the presents were piled very high, what with birthday and christmas (and a grandma who got a bit carried away with the christmas presents!). Good times had by all though. :)
