What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 168

Oh my life, the gloom of Tuesday's dusk photo may mean that you can't really see what I've been doing...and that's no bad thing.  Remind yourself, gentle WOYWWer, that however fast the days turn, we are still in August. And if you can, if your brain will let you - sum up the ingredients before me.  Kraft, white, red and gracious Mrs Dunnit, is that a SNOWFLAKE die cut?  Why yes it is, and thanks for not panicking.  I've succumbed...there's too much to do so when the idea hits, you've gotta do it, right?  Empty ipad chair - Miss Dunnit is looking up a recipe for supper time and the rest, I think is repetitive and obvious.  Although if you're a bit squeamish about such things, you won't like the fact that the inked and abandoned stamp will still be like that until I get back to the old desk sometime later today.  I have window shopping to do today, (and so does Lunch Lady Jan!) followed by a delivery in the newly signwritten white van...no, not 'altered', but certainly very public!  See you later!

Please join us - show us what and where you're being creative - you're a great inspiration - ideas, supplies, lifestyle, recipes, photography - this WOYWW has it all!
Upload a pic to your blog, put WOYWW in the title and link here.  Turning off Word verification is massively helpful if you can bring yourself to.

  4. I'm impressed, Julia, to see snowflakes. Glad I've just caught this before going to bed as I won't have much time in the morning - although I might try to get better photos in daylight x

  7. Try as I might I can't spot the stamp in question. I even clicked on the photo hoping it would get bigger but it didn't. It did go via the "old way" of things and let me just click on the "X" to return to your page. My Blogger seems to have changed to opening a new page when I click on a photo and therefore you are forced to click the back arrow to return. All rather bothersome any idea why??? And I can't see that stamp either - did you move it after taking the photo? Err, or is that a bit dumb of me

Happy WOYWW, still spitting feathers at not thinking to turn off at Amesbury :(

What's wrong with making Chrimbo cards - a recent week-long challenge was probably the most card making I've done in ages and they were all for Christmas - Red/white/kraft seems to be a popular theme for the coming festive seasonut so far I haven't played with those colours yet.

Starting Christmas things early doesn't bother me in the slightest - made my first 2012 Christmas card on 26th December 2011 and have been slowly getting a few done through the year. I'm still behind though. Ah well. Happy WOYWW! Victoria no.87

  95. An abandoned stamp.... the shame of it all. It looks like a happy mess that's for sure. I have a pile of Christmas stamps on my (very tidy) desk too. They are for a class I'm doing on Saturday. So far I have made the samples, put the stamps on the blocks and cut the baker's twine. The really important part of cutting papers and gathering it together nicely has not yet been done. I'm not quite sure when I can fit it in either.

Eeeekkkk Christmas lol, I actually do work for a magazine where we test what the author has done, basically saying normal crafters can do it and Yes I came back off my hols to an email with my next mission a crimbo theme. I always put all my christmas bits away but think I need to get them down soon (after trying to find somewhere to put them seems I have bought more stash through the year!!) as I am actually being tempted to start early this year, hope so last year left it too late and managed only a few cards for challenges. Will you be using the poly wreath this year I sent? I was going to use mine through the year but looks like christmas will get her first lol. Hope you and lunch lady Jan have a great day out. 123. Oh Julia, thank you so much for your visit and your very kind comments - I am being so uplifted by everyone's support and kindness. My hubby saw him today and it's not good. We are still hoping he'll pull through this but he's very poorly, and confused. I'll be posting updates on my blog and via replies to people's comments.

Just heard Neil Armstrong has died...

  124. Hi Julia!
I got up early on the list, but it's taken me all week to make the rounds...sorry I'm so late.

I'm so impressed you're starting Christmas cards. I'll probably start mine the middle of December, give up the day after Christmas, and then we'll just go around again next year. I'm SUCH a procrastinator!!

I hope you and LLJ had a fun window shopping trip!

  125. Now I am not a diecutter but I demonstrate die cutting! Work that one out! But this weekend I was using a "C" tree die and thought that I might just buy one and use it myself this year - save a lot of work stamping and colouring etc. So go ahead with the snowflake and I'll make a start on the trees.
    Hugs, neet #58 xx

Looks like a great work desk, messy enough to inspire :D Love the happy-happy sign in the corner.

  127. Just posted my contribution! Thanks for hosting! I always want to plop myself down in your chair and start helping myself - virtually, of course! (I would never have the guts to do that in real life! :-)
