To prove that I'm well........
But I sort of am.., I think. The whole colours thing...the seven shades of wee wee, it's a bit too dark and same-y for me, so this masterboard and card that resulted from the background is about as wee wee as I can get. I remember at a wedding I overheard a guest talking about another - 'how many shades of navy is she wearing for heaven's sake'...well this has kind of stuck with me, and so shades of any single colour are a bit of a scare, but browns especially, because of the whole grunge thing and not knowing really when to stop. Psychotherapists dream, me, donchafink?! So I applied heavy amounts of my current favourite Distress Ink, Wild Honey. Current as in most recently purchased and favourite because I don't have the Limited Edition summer colours. (Yet.) ( I think.) And the addition of white helps me to stop hyperventilating and besides, if I produced a master board workshop without using this Kaiser flourish stamp, people would think I was ill. And I'm really not, despite what you may think having read this.
Ooh I love it, fab Eiffel tower and I love the white bits against the rest. Fab work! Zo xx
ReplyDeleteLove the white embossing and the Eiffel Tower. I love wild honey too but know what you mean about different shades of the same colour. This work though :)
ReplyDeleteOh I like the masked swirls and the lovely card. Sandy :)
ReplyDeleteFabby x Nowt wrong with you! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love the color and the white bits just make it pop. Wonderful Eiffel tower! Go girl!
ReplyDeleteThe white looks fab, and you can't go wrong with the Eiffel Tower! Wild Honey is one of my faves too.

ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with browns - after all the man himself only invented brown DI's at first and look where he is now!! I love your piece, the colours, the tower and the swirl is gorgeous.....A x

Well, despite a whole blog post of doing yourself down, Julia dear, I think this is fabulous!! Relly love it. It's stylish and interesting, and has great flair, with lots of different elements. It certainly doesn't speak to me of "wee-wee" or anything like it!! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteC'mon. It's gorgeous. You know it is.

Lol you really need to get a grip! This card is stunning, love all the browns and the white and the embossing etc, etc. I like Wild Honey too but Bundled Sage is a perennial favourite and has the added bonus of not being wee coloured!

Brenda
I rather like it!
ReplyDeleteFab card & Wild honey is one i like
ReplyDeleteWild honey is one of my favourties too and no I don't have the summer ones either, we must be the only people on the planet that doesn't. I love your shades of brown but the white in it makes it extra special, you have mastered this one, love it.
ReplyDeleteI dont think you are ill, and who cares what other think. LOL An Eskimo once told me that there are over 42 shades of white. Now laugh at that one.
See you later today.
Eliza
Well I love it, wee wee or no wee wee.
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean about brown though, I like using it but it can be a bit depressing but your use of white takes all that away.

Love the background and love the card's composition and I don't usually like anything browny, yellowy or wee wee-ey so that proves it works!

I love monochromatic things. I always think they're very classy. Also, if you're pee is this colour, you should probably go see a doctor! I love the masterboard and would use it as a piece of art all on it's own. Just gorgeous. And don't forget to go to the doctor!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous piece and I think the colours (shades) look stunning.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you 'play' with Salty ocean/Mowed lawn/and...pickled raspberry - should be 'picked' but 'pickled' sounds so much more fun.
Toni xx
I really like that back ground, it is beautiful, I love shabby and vintage so 50 shades of brown ;) works for me. happy stamping, mark x
