What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 157

Yoo hoo!   Man, it's good to be home.  Man, it's cold and wet in southern England. Here's my almost real time work desk!  As evidenced by the ipad, photo taken on Tuesday evening. As you can see through the window, 10 days of neglect has given the erm, 'wildflowers' a chance to engulf the patio.  Ah well...it'll wait, I can't do that sort of work in the rain; sugar melts in the rain.  So on the desk is a catch up attempt.  I have ATCs to send to ensure that I participate in the anniversary project...you lot are so great at joining in, and so very generous. Thanks.
You can just see evidence of Union flags in the tin; they're for cakes and sandwiches, but I'm planning to use them in a scrapbook...I should have closed the tin to show you the patriotic lid too, ah well, not much forethought here! The flags-in-the-tin is a bit of bad tidying really, because since Laura gave me the tin, it's really the home for my collection of tapes. Not Washi tapes per se, but some nice ones anyway..maybe I'll show them off some time.

Show us what you're up to then, we need a photo of your working area, kitchen, sewing room - wherever and whatever...post it to your blog, include WOYWW in the title and link the post here.  Easy.  It will be good etiquette to return visit....and that way, you're hooked!
Danielle, who usually links around the 110-ish mark asked me to tell you that she's using WOYWW to maximise her Ranger give-away...she was a little worried that it's against the rules.  It's not particularly, because it's a give away.  The self publicity and linking to every product the blog owner sells is less in the spirit of WOYWW.....and if this seems a contradiction, well....I could bore you to death with my logic, but actually...why bother.  Your visitor numbers will tell you if you're taking part in WOYWW or promoting to no avail.
Lecture over, here comes the linkmeister:

  2. Hope you had a wonderful holiday Julia. What yukky weather you've come back to. I've been watching the Jubilee on TV and typical British weather. Those ATC's look fab from what I can see of them and love those little flags. Your garden looks so green, my chickens have destroyed our lawn and garden beds, so yours if fabulous compared to mine.
    Have a great week.

  3. Welcome home Julia - you were missed last week (and so was your pic!)

Smiling at Charlene - there seems to be no other blog where holding the #1 spot is held in such great esteem!

#3 this week - enjoy your day!

  4. So glad you are home. I hope you had a good time on holiday.

Of course, I call those wildflowers WEEDS in my world (grin).

Happy WOYWW from #4 (as if you can't count).

  5. this is the earliest I've been but I have a busy day in the operating room tomorrow and may not get to post until really late. I hope to get to more desks this week. have a great day!

  6. Glad to have you home Julia, but sorry to hear about you're weather. It could be worse you could be in Melbourne and we have been hit with winter this week.
My 'chesticles' have been playing up so I didn't manage to visit many desks last week but I hope to make up for it this week.
I held my breath reading you're leacture because I'm having a giveaway (which has taken so much work with my limited techy savvy) but I did wonder if it would be okay to post today along with WOYWW...I chose this route because it's actually down to you and the gang that have inspired and kept me motivated to produce these designs.
    They are a tribute to you're WOYWWer's! ;D Neesie #7

  7. ah Julia so good to have you back and commiserating on the weather think the queen felt it on the Thames river on Sunday!
I did chuckle at your sugar melts in the rain logic for not attending to the sunflowers - here everyone is going crazy this morning over the transit of Venus - will wait for the next 112 years visit I think! :D although did watch it on live stream.
Happy WOYWW! thanks for hosting each week such a great time as WOYWW Shaz in oz.x #8
PS like the way we never know when you are linking over these days not sure if on purpose but is fun!

  9. I see green and pleasant lawn! Welcome home, hope that both your tan and post-holiday energy remain unfaded... We had an asterisk of a time last week indeed but celebrated in true woyww style. Glad to have you back on board.

  10. Welcome back home, hope you enjoyed your trip. It's been quite wet and chilly here today too, very un-seasonal! I screwed up my link last week and forgot to add the asterix to exchange ATCs so this week I'm giving an ATC away as a prize to one of my commenters. Happy WOYWW! Thanks for all you do.

  11. neat workspace. Like the tin and the ipad! I have a notepad that sits on mine sometimes. I think I see a stamp in the background and maybe a card in the making (or already made) This WOYWW is addicting!

  17. Welcome home! Looked like you had fun! Love the patriotic flags... We didn't do as much for the Jubilee as we assumed we would... Mmm... May have to quickly put that right during half term! Happy Wednesday x

  18. Morning Julia, How was the holiday? Last week was such a blast and I was wondering if you could send me your address so I could thank you appropriately. I didn't go to bed 'till after midnight last night wondering what time you'd do the post this week but as I tend to wake very early and it is/was the Transit Of Venus at dawn and DH was set to set up the telescope to watch it I somehow managed to sleep!!! Woke just before 6am and flew out of bed to enquire as to the state of Venus and DH just grunted it was cloudy and went back to sleep! But then I remembered WOYWW and that is far more important and a weekly occurance so you don't need to hang around the cosmos for a century for the honour. (Saw the transit in 2004 though but it won't be back 'till 2127 now!!) Love ans HUGS BJ #32

  19. It is always good to get home even if it is cold and wet. The patriotic flags will be put to great use and you know if you don't keep them then you definitely need them. Have a lovely woyww.

  26. Geez, I am number 50 and you have only 25 comments, so half havn't left you a message, that is so naughty of them.

Welcome back, the Queen missed you at the celebration parade and Prince Phillip was so out of sorts with you gone that he had to have a hospital stay. So glad you are back, now the country will be running smoothly again. LOL

I keep wanting to ask you do you have a sissor problem like me? you seem to have a few on that desk. LOL

    Welcome home again,

  27. Hi Julia, nice to see you back, I hope you had a restful and carefree holiday. Shame about the rain, however it is a good reason to stay indoors and craft :) I see I've forgotten to remove my asterisk ... never mind, it's there to remind me of last week's fun. Many thanks for the ATC swap, it was good fun to participate in. Weeds are just flowers growing in the wrong place ... enjoy the flowers :) Happy WOYWW. Elizabeth x #48

  102. Hi Julia, Glad you are back. I'm late, by at least half a day, depending on your clock, of course, but hey, I'm addicted to WOYWW, so maybe I will be lucky last today. I like the look of your ATCs but couldn't zoom in close enough to get a better look :)! That's what WOYWW's all about, isn't it, having a stickybeak?
Oh, and I have put an anniversary ATC in the mail for you.

  103. Do you ever get tired of hearing how thankful we crafters are for your hostessing of this linky party? No? Oh, goody, because I just wanted to say Thank you again! :)

And your workspace isn't looking too shabby this week, almost tidy, oh who am I kidding? It's positively like a neat bomb went off on that thing! I haven't bee joining this party very long but I know this is the first time I've ever seen so much of the actual surface you craft on! :)
Glad you made it home safely, too.

  109. I'm soooooooo behind with my blopping. Nice to have you home, sorry the weather wasn't better for your return.

Your garden looks a bit like mine - after finally getting a dry spell where the grass could be cut and everything tidied up - we have had nothing but rain and the weeds have had a field day.

You'll have to shown us the tin lid next time.

  110. Re: your comment....my girls just like to mess around with my art/craft supplies. I am having the downstairs apartment painted so my work has been brought upstairs...no deadline. Am getting ready to apply to enter a craft fair though.
