What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 153
Ooh look, a genuine night time shot, and a calm looking desk. Two reasons for this...the gessoed comic annual pages you see are drying having had a jolly good squirting with cosmic shimmer mists, or equivalent products. All of which are now in the kitchen awaiting patient hot water type squirter unblocking. I hate that. Every last bottle that I have (five) won't squirt. Argh. You can see one of 3 Scrap 365 mags that Mary Anne has shared with me...waiting to be read. The free cover stamp from Craft Stamper is one of Jennie's at the Artistic Stamper...and is poised, ready to commit me to something. I know not what. The calm is because I haven't been at my desk all weekend. Since the Crop, the head cold has got worse and I feel really bloody. So am saving my energy for whining. I'm so much better at that anyway! The good thing though, is that this sitting around feeling horrid means I'll probably actually make it to more desks than last week, so link up do, and save me from my blocked up whining self!
CLICK THIS for an infopost about the ATC swap planned for the third anniversary of WOYWW. Which is Week 156. I've scheduled this..will be up relatively early to see if it works!
Meanwhile....photo your work area..desk/floor/deck, show us what you're up to and where. Post on to your blog, include WOYWW in the title and link here. Easy. We'll visit. It's fun.
Wow, I'm #1 on the list this week? I've been feeling terrible all day - sinuses, cold, whatever - but I think this actually perked me up a bit!
ReplyDeleteLove the night shot! When I don't get natural light - mine usually just turn out dark! Very cool desk. I do hope you feel better!
Ramona :-) #1
I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling very well, have you tried hanging your towel draped head over a pan of steaming water, works really well if you have some eucalptus to throw in there too! waving hi from the rainy hills of North Carolina :) ps, looking forward to the ATC swap!
ReplyDeleteSorry you've come down with a cold - it must be all this rain!! I love those background pages you're working on - I am sure they will be fab. Happy WOYWW. somewhere about 9.
ReplyDeleteWell, your post must have come up early, because, according to my (not reliable) calculations, I reckon that it's not yet 6am, your time, right now. (And it's 2.30pm here, if that's of any remote interest. I've said before, thinking about time zones does my head in, and I don't have a cold.) And your desk looks very much under control and almost neat (not that I advocate neatness, there would be nothing to see if all desks were neat, and then you'd be out of a job, hehe! and that would never do!)
ReplyDeleteRosA at no.5
Good morning Julia,
ReplyDeleteI'm not th only one who has problems with the glimmermist... I always save my empty bottles(I spray a lot!).
Have a great day (a new 10sec post is on my blog)!
Hugs Marleen ;-)
A great atmospheric photo Julia...I've been zentangling and now I'm straining to check out you're desk, so I may have to lie down soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're not feeling too good...you should have a hot toddy! They always work for me...don't cure anything but make me feel so much better ;D
Thanks again for keeping me inspired for another week :D
Neesie #7
Oh Julia-I used my first gesso on canvas this week...what a MESS! Or is it just me???? I am a pig pen with glitter and stuff like that too. Hope you are feeling better soon, not fun to be feeling sickly! Get Well Girlie!
ReplyDeleteIntriguing. Where is it all going, I wonder? I'm sure you will share in due course. Is there anything sadder than the week AFTER a monthly crop? Too long to wait to see stuff in real life. Hope your congestion clears. Shame it's not a cough so you'd have an excuse to drink a lovely hot toddy. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a restful WOYWW
MA
Aww. Sorry you is a purly girlie... buck up eh!! Love the pages and the stamp. Hope you soon feel like a proper whine!!!
ReplyDeleteLove and light
Frankie
xx
Hope you feel better sooner than soon, Julia! I can't imagine why wall putty is not available in your neck of the woods! It's really much coarser than gesso and it's cheaper too! Like a poor relation I guess! Have started on my ATCs! Can't wait! :^) patsy
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the lurgy has struck - hope it is fleeting and that you have some Vicks handy
ReplyDelete... being in 'sit and potter mode' does' mean getting lots of other stuff done. My cough delivered a string of DT stuff! Having bottle issues too. Hot water and a pother have only resulted in left wing, side winder squirts and rude words.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Sarah at 13.
Sounds like everything is clogging up at your house, you poor thing. Nothing worse or more whingeable than a cold.
ReplyDeleteHope you get better really quickly, so you can get back to your desk and play.
Von #18
So sorry to hear you are feeling lousy, hope it soon clears for you.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I was spraying the other day - clogging is the reason I don't do that much of it. Gets me whingy when my bottles clog.
Hugs, Neet ~19
First of all, hope you feel better soon! I know so what you been about clogged up bottles, mine don't un clog themselves under the tap either half the time. Your sprayed pages look interesting and full of possibilities. The scheduling btw, obviously worked....
ReplyDeleteHave a good hop around and happy Wednesday!
Sorry you've been unwell, hope today finds you a little brighter! Love the pages - so much potential but I feel your pain about the clogged sprays. Drives you nuts doesn't it?! Happy Wednesday x
ReplyDeleteJulia! I hope you feel better, sending some sunshine from Oregon. :)
ReplyDeleteAnnie #23
Oh no - I do I hope I didn't give this cold to you?
ReplyDeleteHope you feel a lot better soonest!
poor you, thanks for the badge which arrived yesterday and was proudly in my desky shot!! hope you are feeling much better soon..its the horrid weather..we need summer!!! the pages look full of potential, cannot wait to see what you do !
ReplyDeletehugs trace x
I so feel the pain of your cold thousands of miles away. UGH. May you have better days ahead!!! Poor you!
ReplyDeleteoh dear,do hope you are feeling better soon and whine away if that makes you feel better,am sure all this rotten rain has not helped your mood, have a good day and maybe just sit back and read your mags.
ReplyDeletekay #28
I hope you feel better soon Julia. What a shame after your nice weekend. Glad you keep showing us the tape gun, I must nip out and get one.
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling.
Lynn
One I Made Earlier Today
Not sure which I should give you more sympathy for - a cold or clogged up bottles.. at least a cold will go away eventually - clogged up bottles are the bane of our lives
ReplyDeleteI do hope you feel better soon Julia... Love your pages and tell me about those sprays, mine spend more time getting unblocked than getting used Grrrrr! Put your feet up today and take care.. Hugs May x x x
ReplyDeleteHope your health picks up soon. nothing worse then the lurgy. Gessoed comic pages sound very interesting and I think I will have to come back in the hope you will post a pic of the finished project. Sandra @21
ReplyDeleteBoo....lurgy! Whiskey and ginger wine, with ice....great for all ills.
ReplyDeleteHope your on the mend xx
Kyla #34 (I wish!)

ReplyDeleteloving the calm on the desk, it looks like its waiting for you to return. i also hate unsticking the spray bottles so much i threw tthem all in bin last year never been happier! lol
TFS HAPPY WOYWW ttfn love Mrs. C #39 xx
Aww sorry you aren't feeling well. I'm pending monthly and am good at the whining too! Love scrap 365 mag - have a subscription for that and have never bought any stamping mags and wondering whether I should try one. Also wondering about your ATG gun. Where did you get it (and refills) from? Is it acid free and all that? Wondering whether it would be cheaper than the Herma runner I use now. I did have a read of your adhesive post btw. I think I am somewhere in between. BJ #41
ReplyDeleteWe've got the lurge here too, so totally feel for you. I find whinging makes you feel better! I'm really interested to see what happens with the comic pages. Will post my WOYWW later when I can drag my poorly self off the sofa!
ReplyDeletesorry to hear you're feeling poorly julia...sending get well hugs kath (43) xxx
ReplyDeleteLove your desk, so much colour and interesting bits as usual. Sorry you arent too well and just Whine away if it makes you feel better.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice day Tracey x ±43
Get well soon Julia. Why not snuggle up somewhere with your mags and a hot toddy - I'm sure it'll make you feel better.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing what you create with those pages.
Toni xx
Hope the cold is better very soon so you can enjoy being creative again.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
A x
Oh dear Julia, poor you - it's gotta be the weather. Have you checked your feet for webbed toes appearing? I look anxiously at mine each night before I hop into bed - and even give a little croak occasionally, should I be worried?
ReplyDeleteI rarely use spray bottles - will be trying them out this morning and no doubt panicking :(
Hope you feel better really soon - meanwhile, whine away.
Hugs, Di xx
Thanks for being a fab host - hope you are less 'whiny' soon (I get like that when I have a cold). Apologies if I end up several times on the list - having trouble getting my name on there. Ali x #46, I think!!
ReplyDeleteGreat space hope you soon feel better. xx Jan 51
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Julia - a spoonful of honey everyday would be my remedy! x Jo
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your cold, hope visiting desks will prove a worthy distraction x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia - sorry you are not feeling too well. It is not surprising the wet damp and cold weather we have been having probably didn't help matters. Still I am sure a spot of desk hopping will make you smile - your desk made me laugh. I was admiring your scissor collection when I spotted your coaster! Hope you feel better soon Julia. WOYWW Hugs from Helen 50 (how spooky is that....is the cosmos trying to remind me of my up coming birthday - two WOYWWs time!)
ReplyDeleteOH I'm full of cold too. Miserable isn't it? Feel better soon, lovely Julia. xxx
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon Julia, time to curl up and watch C&C or read craft mags :-)
ReplyDeleteDebs x
Oh Julie hope you start to feel better soon, the free stamp off craft stamper is lovely I've used it on some background cardstock on a layout!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Hope you feel much better soon!
ReplyDeleteWarm thoughts from me.
Hope you feel better soon Julia.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW everyone.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
I made it in before triple digits and before it was Thursday! I feel so accomplished. lol :)
ReplyDeleteIf I haven't said so recently, thanks for hostessing this linky party...its really inspired me to post more often and I love having a "snoop"!
~Deeyll #62
I'm in the under 100 again woot. Hope you feel better soon (((hug))) from aussie land. Sit back relax and peek around the world of desks right at your fingertips. Sandy :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteZoe #66
Sorry to hear you are under the weather, nothing like a lovely hot toddy to perk you up, perhaps it's worth trying one. Tried to leave messages earlier but could not access the comment box - but here now! Anne I got to be #2 !!
ReplyDeleteFirst, really sorry about last week... please put coffee down now. aw, not nice having a head cold...or any thing cold. I've had a 'coff' sine Nov/Dec last year and at last someone is sending me off to play with a nice doctor and a treadmill... I was never any good on those, we had one at home, the cat would join in, and both of us would shoot off the end in a heap! Your desk is looking very tidy this week. Have a good one.
ReplyDelete(Lyn)
Oh dear, hope you feel better soon. My friend had something similar and went to Bruges and drank raspberry beer from a bucket. Just a little tip. I've commented on your Facebook link about the mist thing. All five blocked seems excessive - you have been swirling and not shaking, I hope!! :D
ReplyDeleteHelen S
Hope you're feeling better soon, but agree this not being so good lark does make it easy to sit and snoop around the desks! For me, Woyww has given me a way to get out and about when in reality I can't. I couldn't bear to not take part now, I'd miss visiting everyone and feeling like part of a community. You take care. Zo xx 73
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling much better soon. Nothing worse than a head cold. Blah . . . your desk is one of the tidiest I've ever seen! MIne is complete chaos at the moment! Wait . . . hmmm . . . it's like that all the time! xxoo
ReplyDeleteHi, not made this week's woyww... due to the fact that my desk is unsued and unloved and have so many commitments... but am popping in to say hi, and ooh what do I spy?? the stamp from CS! fabulous and cannot wait to see what you make :))
ReplyDeletebtw have blog candy including a swirl stamp of choice...the odds are good at the mo!
Have a creative day
xx
Wow that is a calm desk for you, Sorry it's come at the price of you being poorly, wishing you a speedy recovery x And that you have some proper messy playtime soon x
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon Julia :)
ReplyDeleteHi J!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some beginnings of some "art" showing there. Will keep checking on that.
Hope you're feeling better from the cold. It lasts 10 days, whether you do anything or not. Just treat the symptoms and try to keep it from getting worse. (um, retired nurse here) I'm all for whining, when else do we get to?
Looking forward to # 156
Hugs!
kat
Your space looks very calm...just waiting for you to feel better. Hope you recover soon, colds are no fun.
ReplyDeleteWow that is a tidy desk!! Glimmer mists are a pain, I have some home made ones and they clog up too. Hope you're feeling better soon. x
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're feeling so poorly, Julia, and hope you are better soon. It's miserable, isn't it. Well done you, getting WOYWW up and running for us, despite feeling horrible!
ReplyDeleteAs for the glimmer mist, have you tried spraying the last couple of sprays with the bottle upside down? This clears the nozzle and prevents the stuff drying in it, which is what blocks it up. You get the same problem with Spray Mount and other things like that. You could try washing it off immediately after use, too.
Sorry I didn't make WOYWW last week - had a health scare and Wednesday was over before I remembered about WOYWW!!
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi
You're ace Julia, thank you for my badge.
ReplyDeleteTruly hope you feel better soon.
Laura 82
I think we are all sharing this rotten cold, Julia. I had it last week and it's on it's way out now thank goodness so get your feet up with those Scrap mags (love them) and take it easy with something warming.
ReplyDeleteYou've got some interesting looking things on that desk there. Mists are a right pain when they bung up aren't they.
Happy WOYWW
Hugs Lisax #86
Julia hope you feel better soon. Happy hump day. x
ReplyDeleteHugs Erika.
Hi. Work in progress, preparing pages always seems to take an age. Hope you have better week and your cold goes away!
ReplyDeleteHope the head cold clears up. Nothing worse than being sick when spring/ summer is coming! Good luck with getting some working gesso! Looking forward to the ATC swap...having never ATC'd before! -Amanda #93
ReplyDeleteoh dear thats not good, hope your cold gets better, isnt it supposed to be summer there? We are into the cold and flu season here. I love your deck chair ummm ipad chair it is sooo cute
ReplyDeleteBridget #12
Sorry to hear about the cold, Julia - hope you feel better soon. Grrr to the sprays getting blocked up ... the work in progress looks interesting. I'm looking forward to getting Craft Stamper today with Jennie's stamp - (Hazel, WOYWW #95) x
ReplyDeleteGosh these WOYWW come around quicker than ever now! Hope the cold disappears soon. Hot lemon and honey with some paracetamol in it works well. Nice and comforting too. Enjoy WOYWW. Karen 94 x
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon Julia.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!! Hopefully we will both be back to normal next week!
#97
I a have rotten cold too, I am just trying to avoid giving mine away as my daughter has her finals this month and a cold is the last thing she needs. Hope you feel better soon Julie. X
ReplyDeleteI'm late as I thought today was Tuesday due to the bank hol!. No99 is a nice number anyhow!
ReplyDeleteWhilst the drying process progresses your desk looks really tidy and organised!
I alway decant my Glimmer type sprays into small misters. The Tim H ones are good but expensive so I buy hand sanitisers (the size of marker pens), usually 3 in a pack from £ shops or sometimes they come with mosquito repellent in them. I empty the contents into a bigger spray bottle to use whenever.
This means I can mix water with some of the more intense colours and also blend the colours. They spray well and can easily be washed out so don't block. With small tubes there's less to carry to workshops.....Simples!
If you can't find any let me know and I'll get you some.
Love JoZarty x
Posted a little while ago but forgot to let you know, it helps really, I know. Did mine in 2 posts 1 about stamp storage and then my WOYWW. I do hope you are feeling better soon. I have had a headache for over a week and it just wont budge.
ReplyDeleteEliza
At 101 this week - hope you are feeling better Julia
ReplyDeleteWanna share some balsam tissues? My nose runneth over so badly that I can't craft because I can't lean forward, well unless I stick some tissue up my nose. Enjoy the mags. (still thinking of our friend) xx #53
ReplyDeleteI was sorry to read that you are not feeling too good Julia, I hope the cold passes quickly and you feel better very soon [[hugs]]. Love the work desk and I hope you enjoy reading your crafty magazines :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fab WOYWW and a lovely week, Hugs, Karen xx #49
Awww Julia, seems everyone i know is coming down with a rotten cold at the moment!
ReplyDeleteHope it won't be too long before your'e feeling better.
Jackie xx
Liking the idea of the annual pages, I just bought some Marvel comics to rip up and work with (2 for 99p at The Works).
ReplyDelete** Kate **
Snap - I've got a desk covered in drying papers too! I always find preparing the backgrounds quite tedious - I love walking into my studio in the morning and seeing them all ready to work on!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
Hi Julia, sorry to read that you're not too good today ... hope a day of taking it easy will speed the virus on it's way. I like that gesso over printed material technique, played with it before and should do so again now that you've jogged the old memory :) Hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs (you probably need them, even the cyber kind) Elizabeth x #68
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon Julia, seems everybody is coming down with some form of lurgy, Craig's had his months. For once I haven't caught it (yet, fingers crossed)
ReplyDeleteTake it easy x
sure hope you're feeling better soon I've had the same and had a hard time springing back. have a great day .. off to desk hop
ReplyDeletePeggy C
Get well soon Julia! xxxxxxxxxx Trish #60
ReplyDeleteHi Julie...hope you are feeling a bit better....I have lots of blocked tubes too! What an irritation,I have 2 sitting soaking..and that's were they will stay for today too...I love the ATC idea..in fact you can see one or two on my desk..inspiring me to get started on some for the swap..
ReplyDeleteBy the way please show us what you make with your gessoes/glimmered up pages....
Have a good weak!
Oh I think it's kind of cool to see the night shot of your desk. I too could scream when my glues particularly my glossy accents gets all stuck.
ReplyDeleteOk I am drooling over your mags. I have not heard of either but will be hitting Google to check them out.
I hope you feel better. Do stop by my desk if you get a chance.
Belinda (#114)
All looking quite tidy & waiting for the anticipated project! Sorry to here your ruff! How horrid having a

Hoping you feel better soon...head colds are miserable! Love the tidy desk...wishing mine was!
ReplyDeleteSorry you're feeling "bloody"! Hope you feel better. Lots of hot tea? Well, your desk promises lots of fun. Maybe you'll get to those mags, eh? Have fun visiting desks. I think I'll just be content to be around #120 instead of trying to get up in the middle of the night! lol! Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteLisa
#120
Good luck with whipping the cold, nothing worse to make one feel useless. But WOYWW helps. Mags..stacks of them,I've gotten better about weeding them out, but I'll have some til the Lord calls me up. I feel I've over slept at being 119 and I did!!! Have fun touring and Happy WOYWW and RestUp.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have some very pretty stuff going on there!
ReplyDeleteSorry you are feeling so lousy! I am a terrible sick person only wanting to lay on the couch until it passes. Read your mags, sip some hot tea and rest up. Hope it passes quickly. Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteget well soon my friend ! I too am suffering from some dreadful sinus/ throat/ head cold thing. I have not really been able to do much the last couple of days also.
ReplyDeletethank you for hosting another wonderful WOYWW for us
-KAT-
Lovely organised desk. I'm poorly too. I was told to drink sage tea. Hope your nozzles unblock soon x
ReplyDeleteIsn't it Spring where you are? Is it allergies or a cold? I know silly question you'd know if it was one or the other now wouldn't you. Never mind me, I'm all over the place right now. Have a great day, feel better too!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better!! I stoppped using the Adirondack Washes for that reason; They all stopped misting nicely, and would spew out big drops...very annoying!
ReplyDeleteJust had a comment on my desk from a Marcia, she left no number, can't find her on the list, and her e-mail doesn't link to a blog of hers. I guess I can't reply then - shame really as I do like to reply to all who comment. Hope you are feeling a bit better now. BJ #41
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the unclogging. Now tell me, do you spray onto the gesso while it's still wet, or when it's dried? Curious minds demand to know!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon,
cheers, rachel
Feel better!
ReplyDeleteI have become so frustrated with clogging sprays! I have put some of my glimmer mists in other bottles.
Playing!
ReplyDeleteHello Julia,
ReplyDeleteI hope your head cold gets better. It's the spring time colds that seem to linger.
Hugs,
Kay

Sending you well wishes, Take it easy, have some tea and get better soon!!
ReplyDeleteThe Gesso looks very interesting indeed. I enjoy reading your commenters comments almost as much as visiting the blogs...Thanks for hosting 'J'
The desk has a lovely warm glow to it, much like yourself missy, hope you're feeling better soon. Meanwhile, wallow away!

Looks like fun was had with the shimmer mists before they blocked up. Perhaps they have come out in sympathy with you. Feel better soon xx
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how different a desk can look in the dark! It's looking very neat and I love those pages, can't wait to see what happens with them. Thanks for sharing and Happy Woyww week : ) Liz at 138 x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteGuess what I woke up with this morning... yup a cold. Ugh! I could seriously do without it!!
Anyway, I have posted and linked. I also wanted to say a big 'Thanks' for my little badge in the post. It arrived yesterday! Thanks so much!!
Anthea
Oh I hope you feel better! I kind of like the nighttime shot, for a change :) #141
ReplyDeleteHi Julia!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you are feeling poorly! At least you got to the crop!!
Happy WOYWW!
xxDaniella
Hope you feel better soon Julia.
ReplyDeleteI have the same trouble with those squirty bottles - I find the Tim Holtz Mini Misters to be really good - so far they haven't clogged up, it means dispensing everthing into them, but it is worth it.
I've just linked my desk up - better late than never!
Sherry - 142
Hi again,
ReplyDeleteI just linked up again because my name was gone! I originally linked up an hour and a half ago. If my first link shows up somewhere, let me know! I am using #131 for now.
You are awesome!
xxDaniella
Julia, I hope you get feeling better soon! As always, thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to play along for so long, so happy to have the chance today.
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, sorry to hear you're poorly, here's hoping you'll be better very soon and can get back to creating wonderful work. Haven't quite got my head round ATC thingy (am a newbie!) but will check out your links explaining it... I find manuka honey and Pukka's 3 ginger tea good for when ur run down, get well soon wishes xx Angela #148
ReplyDeleteOh pish tosh! You have the creeping crud too? I'm so sorry. It sucks all sorts of nastiness. I'm finally on the mend, but I could backslide real easy, so I'm going to take it easy today.... which is usually a chore for me, but when you have no energy, it is a snap. Get better, save the desk doings for when you feel better. La Princessa #150
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are feeling better soon! I love it when you visit my blog! Wishing you a good energy today!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
So sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish still Hugs Pam xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful workspace as always!!! sorry you are not feeling well!!! Get better asap!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so frustratingn when things won't work the way they're supposed to . . . including ourselves! Get well soon, Julia!
ReplyDelete:)
I know the pain of clogged spritz bottles only too well - try soaking them in vinegar if hot water doesn;t work, I just rescued five of mine!;)
ReplyDeleteHello Miss. Sorry I am late but I too am feeling yukky today. Woke up with a chest infection and a seasickey feeling. I actually had the post ready to link this morning but wasn't up to it. Seems like we kissed the same Toad maybe! Hugs to you Julia.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain with spray bottles! I have lost a few misters cos they have blocked! Drat!
I just hate it when my squirters won't squirt on command. :) Hope you feel better very soon!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Susan #145
AWWW, don't ya just HATE head colds? Hope you get better soon! And yes, I hate it when the darn bottle doesn't let me get ALL of what's in it out!!! You would think they could come up with a better spray thingy...they always seem to give out before the bottle is empty :(
ReplyDeleteBless your heart, dear Julia, making a postie when you feel like sheet! Please get well soon! Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI have issues with clogged bottles as well, esp cosmic shimmer. Even lots and lots of hot water won't clear them. Keeping them stood up and not shaking, just rolling while semi upright to mix seems to help a bit, but they still clog. :(
Oh, man.... being sick sucks as the kids say...well, not even just kids anymore is it? ....I, myself, have actually used the term....maybe we should just refer to it as the 'vernacular'.... yeh, that'll do....
ReplyDeletehope you feel better soon..... I wish us all good health...seeing as I am not totally back to normal either...and it's been months now.... sigh.................
I am loving this meme!! I started out as 103 now I'm 106, how does this happen?
ReplyDeletemr blogger has been very naughty and just linked my post from last week, tut tut tut Can I change it in any way?
ReplyDeleteLuv, I just realized that I'm #152 for week #152. I'm in for a prize then, yes? Oh. Okay.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteTake care
Jakix #78
Sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you're able to lie low and not do much of anything! Take care, (((hugs))) ~Jen
ReplyDeleteI think this weeks desk is the most orderly I have seen, maybe because you have a cold , hope you get messy again soon
ReplyDeletejanet #37
Hello whining art friend! I'm loving those scissors!!! So colorful. I have scissors on my workdesk this week, so that's why I noticed your lovely assortment. Hope you are better soon. *smiles* Norma
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks like you've been having fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you for my badge, it is going to do great things for me:)
ReplyDeletehugs
Sheilagh 163
Oh dear, sorry to hear you are feeling poorly but we love to hear your whining anyway as it is always more amusing than annoying! I too have the shimmer sprays that don't spray - all different, and some home made. Does the hot water thingy work? I tried it once in my big stewpot (which incidentally I don't cook in anymore) and just ended with brightly coloured water eveywhere, brightly coloured hands and sprays that still didn't spray. I have left them in their bottles and now decant just a little to another one when I need it, messy and fiddly, but better than nothing. I am very late this week, screwed up my automatic post and have only just got in from my work. Best wishes, Cindy x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia hope you soon feel better. Think we all need the sun. Your pages sound interesting look forward to seeing end results. Anne x
ReplyDeleteNevermind, I went to a doc appt. and sitting in the wait room, I realized I was 152 on week 153. I'm an idiot. Besides now I'm home and see I've become 160. Are you heavily medicated with your cold and spinning our links in a rolly bin?!
ReplyDeleteOooh - for a scary day there I thought I was going to be in trouble for posting up your photo - truth be told I hadn't noticed the hair, just the smile!
ReplyDeleteClogged Glimmer Mist. Ugh. One of the reasons I rarely use it. Hope you get lots of sun soon. We have plenty to share over here across the way in Texas if I could just shove some of it over to you!
ReplyDeleteJulia, I got my badge today...thank you so much!! Your sister is close to me? Crazy small world!
ReplyDeleteYour ATG looks like it would make a handy weapon should you spot anyone lurking in the dark lol. I don't think you must have used any buttons since last week as the lid looks just the same. Hope you feel better soon

Oh my goodness, it's so good to see these workdesks. I love it! And it's been so long since I WOYWW'd! In fact, it's been so long since I WOYWW'd, that I forgot to put it in the title of my blog--my blog is actually titled what's on my workdesk, which was tea, books, plans, and Oprah lifeclass stuff. Too funny. Thank you for continuing WOYWW, I never grow tired of seeing the amazing places where women create!

ReplyDeleteI think i forgot to post here last week, and almost forgot this week. this is a great idea, im happy to be part of it. thanks.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are feeling yucky. I always spray everything the wrong way. I now have a box to spray in. Just added my WOYWW
ReplyDeleteNo. 180 on the list. Hope you are feeling better soon. Your desk looks better than mine. Just one of my work areas. But it works for me. Thanks for sharing, Judith, Texas
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you aren't feeling well this week. There has been some kind of virus going around here that makes me just want to curl up and hide at home and not let anyone in. I am not happy with those sprayers either...I wrote the company and they gave me advice on how to unblock them...hot water treatment and told me that I can purchase another spray bottle...think not. Have a great week Julia and get to feeling better.

ReplyDeleteHello Julia!
ReplyDeleteSpeedy Recovery. We are all sick too, but it sounds like you really got the brunt of it! So sorry for you!!!
Hope you have a better week!
Hi julia I had a little chuckle when I read your message re: scary stamps and garlic bulb. the garlicbulb is in fact a polystyrene heart, and i get what you meanabout the stamps, I've always been drawn to quirky things you should see the ones that arrived today ! i 'm afraid I shall have to keep you in suspense until next week xx toni #54
ReplyDeleteJulia, thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your nice comment! I'm afraid those "mints" would do you a lot of no good, more than just rotting your teeth lol! Hopefully the clay extruder will arrive soon so I can progress with THAT project! As for creativity and ideas, I find them energising, but not always enough for me to actually DO the creating! Keep your eyes open for future pages. My biggest problem is deciding which of my favourite paintings to tackle next!

Thanks Julia, for your visit today, and for understanding my ideas about unicorns and horses. I don't care if I am a bit potty about it, they should be right. Sorry to hear you are not feeling too good, and I hope those horrid germs go away very soon. In the meantime, if you want to whinge, you are entitled - it is your blog after all. xxx & hugs Maggie #77
ReplyDeleteHoping you're feeling better, Julia! Kudos to you for still getting around to posting WOYWW!!!
ReplyDeleteBeen a horrid week for me so I feel lucky to have posted before the next WOYWW...
Will you share what you do with those pages? I have a journal I'm going to prep soon for a class I'm taking in about a week. I enjoy prepping the pages knowing that soon they will be full of stuff and lots of color!
See you again soon!
