Sorry about the early lack of Mr Linky....I do not know enough to explain it...nor do I know why Blogger is causing me stress with 'editing' this post....no doubt, this too shall pass!
Well now, since last Wednesday there hasn't been a huge amount going on at my desk. It's fair to say that I've used it - to write envelopes to send badges in, and to get ready for various things..but no real crafting. Hmm, this needs to be rectified. Particularly as it's Mother's Day (OK, Mothering Sunday) this weekend here in dear old Blighty. Luckily, I need to make two cards. You can see the Union Jack hanging at back - it reads 'Happy, Happy Days' and is just lovely, huh. The ream of printer paper is just that and NOT where I asked it to be put. The clear box and side stacked lid is the detritus of a workshop - stuff waiting to be decanted back into drawers and to be cleaned. Yawn. A ray of hope and interest lies on my desk. The green book is what I'm working on in the Altered Book online class that Elizabeth is teaching. I've actually done the reinforcement and end pages. I know - I'm almost up to date. Sadly, with that only. I feel horridly behind with everything this week. So, I'm having a 'meet a stranger off the internet' day out today. Might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb, huh!

Those bits and bobs left over from a class or workshop are such a tedious job to put back in their respective places. i tend to stack themup till I have a largish basket full to the brim and then I do it! Or at least that is the paln. I have a big jumble of sorting on my picture today but just off to the right is the basket I just mentiond...I think that is about 2or 3 hours work to sort...Uggggg. That is why we leave them to stack up...right??? No linky but I am waiting patiently...I didn't lose any weight last Friday but maybe the absent Mr Linky will help boost the exercise level and weigh in tomorrow will reflect it...See, I'll just call you my personal trainer!!!

I know what you mean about the tedious job of trying to find a home for everything. Lately i have been trying to figure out why i put anything away i cant seem to find it when i do and im probably just going to use it again soon. Hope you have a beautiful Mothering Sunday.

Morning! Now, i liked the lack of linky first thing, it means the list gets shaken up a bit!!! People that just start at number one and work their way through the desks will lose the will to live before reaching the high numbers, so those people have less views! Hi Julia, I have the same problem, ask someone to take something upstairs into craft room and next thing I know, I go upstairs and they have dumped it right on top of all my craft doh lol. It can become quite stressful being behind, but I'm sure you will catch up. A busy desk as usual, Julia - glad to see that I'm not the only one that has reams of paper dumped. I see the messy desk fairies have been by your place. I hate that when things end up on my desk instead of where they are supposed to be. Why can't they just get up and walk their happy butt over to the correct place? I didn't realize (or maybe I did?) that you were doing the altered book tutorial too.
I can relate to being late - having just had a "the faster I go the behinder I get" week so far! I am going out for a bit today to enjoy our 78 degree weather and take a much needed break! Wishing you a happy day today!
I think Blogger is becoming a victim of its own success and doesn't seem to be able to cope with all the use it is getting these days...still very frustrating though, especially when you are trying to get something done in a limited amount of time.

ReplyDeleteNow, i liked the lack of linky first thing, it means the list gets shaken up a bit!!! People that just start at number one and work their way through the desks will lose the will to live before reaching the high numbers, so those people have less views! I start my blog hop at about number 50 and work downwards, so get to see loads of fab desks as well as going back to the 'usual suspects' (!!!!) at the beginning!!

Hi Julia, I have the same problem, ask someone to take something upstairs into craft room and next thing I know, I go upstairs and they have dumped it right on top of all my craft doh lol. It can become quite stressful being behind, but I'm sure you will catch up. Loving those buttons in the jar and I'm loving the red dotty thingy (not sure if large button?) in the clear boxes at the back. Happy woyww :-) Kezzy xxx

I've unravelled all the first dress now, and washed the wool, and am ready to start knitting. I've just uploaded another blog post with progress and pictures. I'm so thrilled with the colours...
