Coming live...

So I'm in the Apple store in Basingstoke...live as it were. And wearing a WOYWW badge! But the point is I'm here because I've had a whine about not being able to use the keyboard on the iPad when commenting, and about Blogpress saying it won't publish my photos from the 'Media Library'. So the young (and I mean young) man has suggested I take a seat int he personal set up area and try posting from here. So for the next hour or so, if you see a defeated looking fat woman walking around Basingstoke with her gorgeous looking, newly coiffed red headed Daughter, you'll know the geeks have got the better of me.  I already think all the problems I've had an embarrassed but gentle whine about are created by a weaker wi-fi signal at home than there must be in the shop. The signal is almost palpable.  Oh wait, that might be the heady mix of blue t shirted youngsters and technology I don't understand.  What's palpable? My fear.

  7. You have wi-fi woes, I have Blogger problems. Hope both of ours get fixed soon. Sooner than the glass in the garage (from "Doing Day") gets replaced, at least!

  8. Goosh, I don't believe that I get a better wi-fi signal up here, but I do ... it's a miracle. Now if I could only persuade Royal Mail to deliver stuff here as quickly and as efficiently as elsewhere in the UK I'd be a very happy bunny indeed.

I don't suppose you can answer this one ... how can I provide a link on my blog for Wordpress folk ... I've had a poke around the back of blogger but still don't know how to do it!

  9. Firstly I hope you are home by now....and not still tinkering in the dark...! I was at the NEC all day and flashed my badge and bump around every stand without a single peak or trough on the reactor scale...we need flashing lights and a theme tune methinks...!
Ever tried moving the router around at home...do you have thick walls if I may be so rude as to ask?!!

  12. Oh, techie things seems to have a life of their own...and the geeks tend to speak a completely other language. Stay close to the router dear!

  13. Hope the techie bit is sorted and I'm sure the shop has the best wi-fi signal in the world which we rarely have at home. My router works best upside down for some reason :D!

  14. I thought you were going to say that someone recognised you or saw your badge while you were out... now that would be great wouldn't it. More surreal would be if one of the young men recognised it because their mom did WOYWW... Sounds like you need to sit in there more often ;-)

Technology huh - its sent to drive us mad!'

    big hugs

  15. I too was waiting to hear that someone recognized your badge. I hate technology. I have a geek hubby but I try to get a geek friend help me out when he isn't around. Less swearing happens that way.
