Another reason for a sudden need to get to my desk is this lovely package; it arrived before Christmas from Emily at Make The Day Special. Mr Dunnit put it under the tree; it's Emily's way of celebrating 500 posts on the blog, and I was the lucky recipient. Check out the blog, Kim, a WOYWWer is on her design team and the ideas are just wonderful.
The very best thing about the whole goody box is the whole sheet of mounted stamps..honestly, if I'd chosen them myself they couldn't be better!
And talking of gifts under my tree, and motivation, and my way of erm 'coping'.....my dear friend Lunch Lady Jan and her husband important G, think it's terribly amusing that I'm a list maker. Really they do. We can be talking about absolutely nothing related to it and G will just suddenly suggest I make a list. Well, now I can, look at this book! So now I must get to the bookwork, make sure we still have a roof over our heads for the coming year, so that I can then get to my desk without guilt. Oh, ha ha, that makes me laugh too, guilt free craft time!
I'm not so good with lists, but I have an obsessive compulsive desire to accumulate office stationary, I whooped with delight to receive a good solid old fashioned sand filled sellotape dispenser with lethal tearing edge (already lost a chunk of my right second finger) from my dearly beloved, and it is delightful to be so loved and well understood to have people able to give such 'good' gifts.

Hi Julia, terrific goodie box - wouldn't you just feel sooo guilty for not making use of the contents. I've been faffing around all day and created nothing, not a thing. I have, however, filled a sizeable box with goodies for my granddaughter in the vain hope of freeing up some space to house my Christmas goodies :) I'm a compulsive list maker so that wee book would be food and drink to me too. Here's to you finding some guilt-free hours to craft. Elizabeth x
ReplyDeleteOh dear ..............Lists.......... you mean those pieces of paper I write things on, then put them in a safe place and forget all about them? Those Lists? Erm not very good at them!!
ReplyDeleteLol, Love the candy lucky You! What a wonderful Pressie, and in all honesty it would be rude not to use them wouldnt it?xx
There must be something in the air Julia. I have spent the majority of this afternoon (and evening) tidying my room!! Hubby even asked me if I needed a Doctor as I got rid of a RUBox of scrap paper (to the Brownies so not totally wasted!). There were pieces in there nearly 12x12!! Hold on! I need a lie down!
ReplyDeleteLucky you to win that candy and that list book is fab. Jan obviously knows you a little tooo well eh!
Happy New Year to you and yours!

I'm seriously coveting your list book :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh I do like your lists book. I scribble mine on everything, back of receipts, envelopes, any notebooks. Never had a dedicated list book. Hope the paperwork sorts itself out and crafting can resume. I need to go and retrieve things from the dumping ground that is our upstairs front room now we have finished all our hosting for 2011.......
ReplyDeleteI love the title - today I will get some stuff done - it's perfect!
ReplyDeletesuch a lucky girl!

I agree those stamps are perfect- and the to-do list booklet is fantastic- thats just given me the perfect idea for my DIL!We all take the micky something awful about her list making-even she admits to being OCD! Do you know anyone else who sorts hundreds & thousands into colour groups? Happy New Year, Shaz
