My work desk is looking a bit grown up. But it's OK, because the file and work books are naturally, on top of the craft stuff I was using to make a card and so order will be restored presently! This could be the worst photo of the day - the light is horrible. You can just see my next intention though - some (in real life) very bright and cheerful 12 x12 papers. I'm on a mission to complete an album, as a gift. More later. I promised myself that I wouldn't specifically buy stuff for it. FAIL. These three sheets of paper and the album itself....and counting, probably! Never mind....as it's the Crop on Saturday, I'm hoping it will be worth the new stuff to motivate me with the older stuff. Good plan.
So come on then, join the WOYWWERs who are WORLDWIDE. No that second big word is not a pointless acronym. A fun fact! Upload a photo onto your blog of your workspace...desk, floor, tray, worktop, counter, blah, surprise us. Come back and link it here and join us on a vist-a-thon. You may need to put the kettle on. You could have said what the papers were 'cos they are a fabby colour and design and would make a a mini album!! Its a bit dark and murky in the basement here too... thunderstorms and hailstones and rain and the weather channel said something about a typhoon warning? Yikes!!
Hi there Julia ah love the new stash and hey a girl cant help it sometimes it is so 70's with those very big swirls... I put myself on a month or week ban never a "no more at all" ban cant keep to that... Have fun at the crop on Sat. - we have a sunny afternoon here with a smattering of clouds it is 3.10pm in Oz! just come back from walk to beach and fresh fish at the fish co-op for tea! Spoilt huh! love Shaz in Oz.x
I really love the colors and patterns of these new papers. I hope they take you through your crop this Saturday and you will have lots to show us on Monday (hint, hint). As for the lighting, I guess I'll use that excuse for EVERY photo I take in my craft room. I think yours is pretty decent.

Your workdesk does look a bit scary with a calculator in the middle of it - they always bring bad news in my opinion! Pretty papers there ready to be used and in the distance a ScorPal - aren't they brilliant! :-)

ohooo you have a big wheelie-bin, how do you find it? apart from just walking outside and there it is! does that mean you have a two weekly collection? We don't want that here..but my s-i-l-thinks they're the bee's knees...and it for it.(shoot him if he wasn't taking me to see Harry Potter later!...)Where we stayed in Spain they had a daily collection!! Morning! I couldn't have resisted that paper either - very versatile! Hope you are well planned for the crop, I find it really helps. I managed 7 and a half layouts at our 12 hour one on Saturday (the half was a double page that I couldn't make work with the final twiddly bits.) Now put that grown up stuff away! xx
FAbulous papers lovely fresh colours. Hmmm I promise myself every week that I'll not spend another penny on craft items not until I've used up what I already have, this promise is always doomed to failure. I'm gradually getting a few bits together to create an album... well very gradually, I bought some binding rings Ha Ha! Just trying to decide wether to get some chipboard sheets now or use thick card hhhmmm decisions??!! Not done one before so we'll see how I get on. Thanks for sharing.

I do have to say that now I don't feel so bad about my desk. LOL I think that if the desk is clean, there is no work being done. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Those are lovley DP by the way...love that colour combination!
You didn't buy those FOR the project...you just *happened* to pick them up after you thought of doing it an they just *happened* to work really well with the project idea you had formulating. And anything else you may pick up will simply *happen* to suit the project, as well! HA! :-)
Sometimes we need to have a taste of the new to give us fresh ideas for the old. If life was not meant for us to indulge in a little temptation once in a while why is there so much of it around us?
Sometimes our photos don't always turn out the way we wanted but your photo is certainly not the worst! :<) Today mine look a bit golden in color but that's ok. They all show we are creating! :<)

Lovely workspace, grownup business aside lol. My OCD doesn't really kick in for other people's stamps btw, unless you told me to put them away, then I'd blink at you and think, but where??? lol. One note about page protectors, use the smooth shiny ones. It failed miserably with the "non glare" ones.
And I agree with Miss D, the books are head and shoulders about the movies, but I really try to think of them as rather separate tales about the same people. Usually I have a rule, movies first, than the books, but it was one I had to break for HP :D. Hope your Wednesday was marvelous!
Unfortunately all our desks have to take on a ‘grown-up’ look from time to time Julia but at least there’s always the promise of ‘fun’ when that stuff is done. Loving the new papers, very bright and cheery and I’m sure they will inspire you to use up some of your older stash too because I can’t believe that you don’t have something in all those drawers and boxes that will complement the new papers.

Hi Julia, in reply to your Q about glue, I use the PVA glue for flowers, pearls etc and Collal Photo glue for the layers since it's a little more forgiving if I get it wrong :o) Thanks for popping by. April x

Really loving those papers they are really yummy. I love collecting papers but really struggle using them as I'm not great with colour matching, but making it top priorty as I have banned myself from buying more until I use them lol. Kezzy x

Hi Julia, in reply to your Q about glue, I use the PVA glue for flowers, pearls etc and Collal Photo glue for the layers since it's a little more forgiving if I get it wrong :o) Thanks for popping by. April x

Really loving those papers they are really yummy. I love collecting papers but really struggle using them as I'm not great with colour matching, but making it top priorty as I have banned myself from buying more until I use them lol. Kezzy x
