What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 102

Only 2 weeks to go now, WOYWWers...anyone need a cold compress and some help with the PiF thing? Explanation of how it's going to happen HERE. If you wanna take part and can't because you're going to be away - send me your PiF gift and I'll swap it with another on the day..no problem! You can email me from a link in the margin.
So the desk...oh good lord..a tidy basket with clean stuff in and a desk strewn with stuff...two DI shades and the inevitable dotty stems stamp - it must be time for a card making Marathon! I try hard to include this stamp at each one see. I don't expect anyone notices, but it pleases me! A large receipt from Dreams, a bed store. STILL trying to get through to someone to ask for a couple of missing wheels for Miss Dunnit's new bed. Irritatingly, I have to join a call queue and you've guessed it, after each 25 minutes on hold, I have to hang up to get something else done...still trying... The clear bag with a fish and chip shop menu in it and the little notebook comprise my Crop administration - I've been checking dates. So not a hugely inspiring desk today, but I guess as the day progresses it will change. Well, at least I hope it does - and some nice light would be good too!

I forgot to say yesterday - the ABC list of questions - please do copy and answer - it's an intentional round robin.

Meantime, show us what you're up to on your workdesk, whatever your poison - book keeping, crafting, novel writing....no blatant advertising please; the work on your desk does that for you really! Put a photo on your blog, link it here and we'll visit. Easy.

  39. Hi Julia, after the initial shock, and thinking I had landed in the wrong place, like the makeover - very bright and summery. I don't think I'd wait 25 minutes hanging on the end of a line, your patience is admirable. Hope you get the wheels soon. Have a great week. Elizabeth x

  42. Is it just me or did anyone else notice the fish and chips reference first? Lol. Have fun stamping! And, Julia, luckily those candlesticks on my side desk are not glass but some kind of concrete like material. In danger more of breaking one of my toes if they fall! *smile*

  43. Great makeover. I thought only Phone problems were here in America. It is so frustrating, one of our BIGGEST downfalls, talking to recordings.
Notebooks and glasses are needed and a day to sitback and create. Sounds like you have lots of other things going on. Wishing you sunshine. Can't wait for PIF...already to go. Enjoy

    ReplyDelete
  44. I do long for the days when you could pick up the phone and get straight through to a real person who could sort out your issue on the spot and in a matter of a few minutes and without the aid of any irritating music.

  58. Mmmmmm...you realize that it is only 8:12am here and now all I want is fish & chips! HA! Your space looks full of creative energy! Wanna know my hold trick? I put my mobile on speaker phone and then work at my desk making a project until they pick up! If you REALLY want them to pick up...start something messy and difficult to take your hands from...works every time! HA!

  59. I hate those telephone queues, especially when you go round and round the houses with no "real" voice then they cut you off!! Arrrrrgh!
Nice new blog layout - checked twice to see I was at the right place. Tidy desk? What is one of those? Haa Haa! Let's hope Blogger has been fixed, I spent ages trying to post a comment then to get a message! With internet being pants I never got chance to finish my round!! Arrrrrgh!! You got me started now Julia!!!

  67. What FUN!! I love looking at people's work tables. This is my first time here, and my "desk" seems to be several places I'm working at right now. Next time, I'll try to actually uncover my table that is BURIED with projects, so one can see something actually being done! :) Thanks for hosting!! :)

Love your desk its full of inspiration and I bet your really nervous but proud that week 104 is coming up, such an achievement. Thank you for offering me to send my PIF but as I have explained on my blog today, we are not going camping after all, so hopefully I can get something finished to send, if we were going I don't think I would have finished it on time with having to have the end of year accounts to companies house by the end of next week. Fun to see how neat or messy other people's desks are...lol
I have posted an image of mine today and added a button on my blog for this site to spread the word of this great site.
Now let's hope I got it right and did the right thing and did not infringe on somehting that I wasn't suppose to....
