What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday? 98

Well, here we are again..week 98 and still you aren't bored? Well, if you are, could you kindly hang on until after week 104, please? After all, quite a few of us have come up with great ideas for the anniversary PiF (explained HERE)...it would be a shame to miss that week!! As you know, generally, there are few rules for WOYWW, but in considering the PiF, it seems fair to ask you to have it ready to send on the anniversary, rather than delaying the gratification and fun by making the gift after the event. Make sense? Hope so!
So this week's desk.....almost untouched by human hand. These baskets of stuff are the ingredients per card from last Thursday's workshop. Proof indeed that real life and holidays have taken me away from my desk and my computer too often this week. The yellow Monster is back in its upright position (better than a holder to take up yet more space, honestly, Annette!) and the desk tidy is empty because I cleaned and put away the stamps. I know, of all the things to have found time to do! You can see the Artistic Stamper logo too - I lucked out and won a new stamp in Jennie's blog launches and felt the best way to give her my address was to treat myself to a small order....so I did....now I have 2 Distress Stains to try and two gorgeous new stamps - I'll show you soon. Photo taken in full sun....about 6.45 on Tuesday evening - this is another scheduled post, very grown up things to be done on Wednesday morning.
Oh and PS - loved the number of you that left ironic notes about my comment last week about a well written and spell checked post!!
So there we are then - easy as that. Upload a pic onto your blog of your current work desk - crafty or otherwise, we like to see what you've got going on, and then link it here. Eventually, we'll visit. Be patient and don't fret about numbers....we won't need food!

  1. It all looks fairly tidy Julia... an empty stamps to be washed box too.... gosh you are doing well!!
The stands don't take up room.... ok, maybe in your case it would as you never seem to have very much of it spare on your desk!! LOL

  2. Woo hoo - new stamps! Of course, I am still stuck on your previous post - you know I want to see "the room of shame"! Keep those counts coming - no matter how I plan, I always seem to fall in with the last minute crew. Have a fabulous WOYWW, a wonderful week, and a splendid Easter weekend!

  5. ooh centre stage! lolol they arrived safely. I have just read your previous post about MIss Dunnit's bedroom, and luckily I don't have that problem, as mine has left home.. but I haven't, and wondered if you could come round and give me 20 mins a day to remove my stuff from my room, because mt inability to get rid of stuff needs a helping hand!
    Happy woywwing!

  6. I just signed in as No 2 and in the space of writing I ended up as No 8 with sneaky people pipping me out of the highest place I've ever managed. Back off to bed for an hour or two... only got up for the loo!
Congrats to you, busy Julia on cleaning all your stamps.. more than I've done! Not far off the party for 104 so I wonder will everyone be pristine, mega tidy, ..... Nah!

  9. Hi Julia, how lovely that you won something. I am very industrious with joining these blog candy giveaways but hardly win anything. And I'm ready with my PIF but you never know with me, I may change my mind and make something else. Thank you for this party every Wednesday! Patsy from

  13. Apologies for misnomer - for past 4 weeks I've mispelt your WOYWW as WOWWW! It's been rectified now. Had a class last night and the girls told me I'd got it wrong! Oops! What a brill idea you've conceived-membership keeps growing! I love to pop in and out, and it does take all week before there's another new round to delight me!

  14. congratulations on your win and enjoy your new goodies. of course, you will! looking forward to the PIF!

  15. My desk was such a shameful mess, that I just had to tidy it up...first time in ages...probably the last time in a long time it will be this clean! Our holidays are coming up this week, so not sure what will get done!

  16. My WOYWW early morning ritual is almost comical. I am usually up early, and my scheduled post already there, so it's just a link and a comment. But, my iPad seems to gain time, meaning i dont know when 6AM really is, and the linking process is cumbersome, but I can't comment from my desktop browser, So I link from my desktop, if I'm up for coffee or the loo, then back to bed and the pad to comment. Click Post Comment button at least 3 times and pray it doesn't disappear rather than redisplaying with a red box (and no idea what that means, but it always appears) and paste my comment and try again if it does. Ridiculous. Then the fun bit of a quick browse over breakfast, and the commenting as I can squeeze it in all day.

The things we do to join your party, Mrs. Dunnit! Bored? Not blinkin' likely.

  17. Bored? I only just found you guys last week and it was such fun! I have loved seeing everyones desks in various stages of flux...makes me feel better about my chaos, that it is not just my creative space that looks like a bomb has gone off and that I am the only person in the house who knows where everything is on it at any given time...

    ReplyDelete
  18. woohooo julia..love having my early morning snoop into your crafty space...big cheers for the empty "must clean stamps" basket and yippee Distress Inks to play with....hugs kath xxx

  19. Morning Julia, It's good your desk is in the same state, I missed it last week so now know what it looked like LOL

  20. Still think that the desk is an awesome testimony to how busy and creative all of us out here are! I don't think I would accomplish much if I cleared it off! I read the previous post about the room of doom and will share that I too have a room like that. My son will be moving home from Germany in 5 weeks and I will ship boxes of his stuff to him and pack the heavier when I go to visit in June or July! Off to make the rounds. Vickie #28

  21. I tried to clear off my work desk, but it was filled up again within hours. Oh well...a clean desk is not a busy desk!

Will try to get my brain into gear this week as I agree it should be made and ready to post - time will tell if inspiration strikes

  30. I keep looking at your yellow monster ....I really want one ...but ... about 4 years ago I got one similar ...it was brilliant until it needed to be refilled. I tried ..DD tried .. several friends tried....it is now at the back of a cupboard ...or in the bin??? ....so it put me off big guns.

  32. Oh lucky you winning stamps from one of my favourite suppliers - oops! I won too. Hehe. I think any holiday is an excuse to craft, but as I'm retired, it's the gorgeous sunshine that stops me 'cos I just soak it up. Enjoy the rest of woyww.

  33. You are lucky winning goodies from Jenny - I have my own yellow monster and have found it quite useful for sticking notes on the back of the front door to remind people of things they don't want to forget - like lunch stuff for work. (I think it worked this morning as I saw the OH heading out with a handful of yoghurts) And it seems to come away clean!... now I'll stop rambling!
