What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 84

Well, there's still some space which is a miracle, and a finished project already..will photo that in proper light and show off about it...my word, 11 days into a New Year and I've finished something! There's my lovely glass mat (welcome to the club, Lin!) and a girt great pink punch. It's by Woodware and it's 4 teeny file tabs, different shapes. I love all things office-y that can be used in any way for cards or scrapbook pages. And I felt the need to buy this when I noticed that The Colonial had one. Hoist by my own jealousy, I have since discovered that hers has different shaped tabs - oh me oh my! Eagle eyes will see that I've still got Tracey's Cookie Cutter Dies in nesting ovals. They're on my desk to remind me to use them and give them back. I've had 'em about a month and will probably have for another month. But I will use them before they go back! Cards are still waiting to be contributed to the Phoenix Brass band's raffle prizes...LLJan, if you're reading, we deserve an evening, you him, him and me!
The very large pink spots are printed on some silvery holographic wrapping paper which is barely visible in this picture - how odd. That is for Scrap Lady Ally....her Secret Santa gift before Christmas was lacking this. I saw her last night. The fact that it's still on my desk makes me look even more unreliable; I'm embarrassed!
OK, so this turned into a confession, but yours doesn't have to - share with us do - upload a pic to your blog of your workspace - desk, table top, tray, workshop floor - whatever, wherever. Show us what you're doing today. Then link here and we'll swing by for a visit. I nearly very nearly got around everyone's desks this week. How inspirational your stuff is!

  4. 1. I am sorry about your car. Mine always breaks because it is a piece and I don't give one whit about cars. If it goes, it is good. But one time I had to change a tire. So I guess I care a little bit now.
    2. I need a new cutting mat, and I sort of want yours because it is nice. But I am a bit of a slob so maybe I ought to stick with the one I can't find.

  5. I finally got myself a glass mat and love it. Thanks for telling us about it. Can't wait to see what your finished project is all about! Happy WOYWW! #11

  6. Glass mats are ace in my opinion... they are a 'do everything' surface, although I sometimes wonder if mine will stay the course when I'm leaning heavily on a punch endeavouring to get through card that's slightly too thick for it.
Love your new punch, by the way!

  7. My you are a busy girl! I have barely finished anything this year! but you do have my favourite pair of scissors on the desk. A great big pair of Fiskars dressmaking scissors! Fabulous for cutting eeverything except material!

  9. Morning Julia, quite a nice neat desk today. I have a smaller punch from EK that does small little tags. Sorry about your car hope it gets sorted out soon. I had my Number plates pinched off mine on Bank Holiday Monday! wasn't too pleased having to go to Police Station. I also have a glass mat but its one of the Slice 12 x 12 that I got after buying the slice and it didn't work properly so sent it back, so got left with the glass mat whch I must say is fab as it fits on my Scor-pal, so something good came out of it. Big Hugs JO.xxx

  13. I must agree your desk is very tidy this week. Mine seems that way too. I figure in a few weeks mine will settle into that wonderful mess that I so love...lol I think yours will too!

  14. Still neat for you, Julia. However, I still count at least FOUR of those little tape holders. Looks like you can't bring yourself to use them now that you have the big girl tape monster.

Well, looks like you need to get that gift to Scrap Lady. She might be able to enjoy it.

I read where Linby had already scratched her mat. I think I'll stick to my guillotine cutter and remain craft knife challenged.

Have a great Wednesday. I hope you got the car fixed.

  45. Good morning Julia! Glad to see that your crafting, the book is gorgeous, love the bunting. Hrm, I often have jealous moments too and want everything just out of envy. I guess that's very human, but the punch looks great and I certainly understand why you wanted to have it. Guess you need the one with the different shapes too?! There wouldn't be any craft industry without us, he he.
