What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 77

I may well have one of the messiest desks on this ol' rummage fest, but believe me, my cupboards are in fairly good order. At least, for me. And I know where everything is, which is more than can be said for anything on my desk. And my button jar which has been missing for more than 2 weeks now. I've looked everywhere and decided that someone must have pinched it. I just don't know where else to look. I've declared an amnesty if it's returned. We'll see.
So the desk gives not much away because I'm working on stuff you can't see. I know, doesn't that sound incredibly secretive and DT-ish of me? It does. I sound very important in my head. But really the reason you can't see what I'm working on is because it's still in my head...this table shows the end of one card making session and nothing else, certainly not the beginning of another!
It's Ludgershall Crop this saturday, our Christmas version - apart from the Challenge, Sketch Challenge and all round chat-a-thon, it's bring Christmassy food to eat day. I love it - if you want details because you're within striking distance, let me know! Also safe to travel to this neck of the woods..not one flake of snow has settled. Not one. 18 miles up the road in Basingstoke it's all white and pretty. Nothing here. Strange but lucky!

Crop and snow aside, please show us your workdesk this Advent Wednesday. We like to see what you're doing that we aren't, and what you've got that we might need. Straight forward - photo your desk, upload to your blog and then link to your blog here. We'll visit. Slowly, because there's a lot to look at and sometimes Blogger will simply not allow comments which is very frustrating, but we're checking you out anyway!

  1. I'm possibly first today although that may change! (oh yes, 2!0 Up mega early as had to walk part way home last night and facing a hike to the bus today - its on diversion!! Hate the snow.... love your desk though, I hope you find your button jar, nothing more frustrating. Hope the crop goes well - and have a great day.

  2. Your cupboards are really neat! How odd... I always thought that if the desk was a mess then the drawers and cupboards would be too!! And you have missed out on the snow... someone is looking after you Julia!!

  3. Your desk had NOTHING on me this week. I finally took nearly four days and found it, as well as a path. Your desk looks really tame, actually, and those cabinets are truly beautifully organized. Sorry I've not been around this week. It's been one for the records. Will catch up soon. I hear you and Cath had a great time and even took a picture for me (grin).

  5. On my list of top things I love, 'laugh' and 'look at buttons' both run pretty near the top. I'm so happy I got lots of one in this week ;) I'll look forward to doing lots of the other if your thief ever comes clean ;)

  6. Happy chilly WOYWW!

Your cupboards are indeed a thing of beauty. I think I operate on the principle of tidy places no one can see, and a very untidy desk. Some kind of logic there...

Looking forward to another fine day of snooping at other people's makes and desks.

  11. Could the buttons be under the pile to the left? Just a thought. I think you should not clean up your desk. It's too much fun to leave it messy. WOYWWer #11

  15. Happy WOYWW to you Julia! I love on your 2nd photo seeing that you often end up with lots of little things just crammed in their too! That's a BAD habit of mine! Not saying it's a bad habit of YOURS - just saying it gives away my pack rat at heart ways! :-)

I had planned to photograph a bunch of desk stuff today but my husband's computer is on the blitz and since that is where photos get downloaded/uploaded - I'm thrilled I even got to post tonight! Enjoy your crops - glad I don't have the falling white stuff to worry about - have a wonderful week!

  26. Julia, your desk looked like mine at the week-end when I was making some commissioned cards. I'd even spread onto the dining room table to put stuff as husband and son were away so we didn't have to eat the table. Shall look forward to seeing your creations that are in your head. Best wishes, Kym xxx (WOYWW No 39)

Happy Advent Wednesday and WOYWW! Thought I would come back and join in the fun again. I do hope that you find your button jar - how weird - where could it have gone - I hate that when I can't find something. Nice orderly cupboard with plently of stashy stuff!

Can't believe you haven't got snow - you want to let The One Show know - they are in the process of doing a map of Britain that hasn't got snow.........

    Until next time....

  93. I did pop back, but then must've forgot to type something, although I do remember thinking I had. Yes, because I was saying, but it appears now I must have been talking to myself as I can't see that I've posted anyting here, I was saying, they we too, meaning peoples down here in the New Forest area of Southern Hampshire hadn't had any snow either, but then...woke up to tons of the stuff everywhere! Luckily, it all melted very quickly, but I'm wondering, seeing I have to go to work in the morning, and it's nearly WoYWW again (better late than never...but as my teacher used to say, better never late... ) I bet it will be knee deep in snow in the morning...and...seeing no gritters go where I have to go andit wasjust a sheet of ice last week...(Friday, not Wednesday) I may not go in...and stay home and actually manage to get round everybody...except the ones that don't go anywhere or Moy Yin, as haven't been able to get into there for about 5weeks now....oh...damn, I've now burnt the carrots...
    see you tomorrow!
