What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Well, mine isn't strewn with post-Marathon wreckage (yet), nor the new stamps (yet). rather it looks fairly sedate as if I haven't done much since Saturday. True. It's been nice, but I am definitely feeling the need now, so will have a little chat with myself in the morning and set about starting something. Like Elizabeth I will punctuate my starting with coffee. And like Elizabeth, I will be tidying up and putting away and washing stamps off before I set to starting anything new. Oh my word what a fine example she has set. With the coffee, anyway! The full horror of the work to be done is on the floor in two large boxes and a wheelie tote. But I didn't think to photo that and now the light's all horrid and erm, dark, actually!

See I've changed my stripey tape for clear tape - was wrapping something up that clearly needed to reflect a more serious person than the impression given by the stripey stuff. Other than that, I'm pretty sure this desk is uninteresting.
So here's a gratuitous shot of my stamp shelves....looking
very naked without the crowd of Christmas stamps that I
took down to place in my direct line of vision for card making
inspiration. It sort of worked, but tomorrow they are to be restored to their rightful place.

So then - show off or confess, whatever your desk style; we'd love you to join us.. not many rules, no membership necessary, dip in and out as and when you can, but know that you'll make some friends; Wednesdays are a very inclusive day in this portion of the ether! Add your pics to your blog, link it here and we'll swing by to rummage and comment over what you've got and what you're doing. Doesn't have to be paper crafting....we're very interested in you, whatever you're doing. Umm..is that asking for trouble?!!

  1. I woke early today, so published my scheduled post early (does that make sense!) and got linked up nice and early. Now I need to get ready to go to work, will be back later to catch up properly. Love the gratuitious shelf shot though, they look great.

  2. Morning Julia... I think Elizabeth and I have been stalking your dreams.... so now we can go to bed and catch up with everyone in a couple of hours and you can get up and have your coffee and start on all the cleaning and tidying... though I must say, the desk looks rather neat!!

  3. Even denuded by the lack of Christmas stamps, your shelves don't look exactly bare!!!
Your desk has a remarkably large clear area too!
I must zoom in for a really good poke around!

  4. Now I KNOW I haven't been that much of an influence on you, my dear friend. But I am glad to know that everything has its rightful place and you will have a stern talk with yourself tonight. And of course, coffee is the cure all for anything, including a good clean-up and stamp washing. Have an excellent day from NUMBER 1!!! Yep, it really IS coveted, my dear.

So nice to have lots of visitors so I sat up refreshing til 1am today but no Mrs Dunnitt. Was it subconscious that woke me at 3:30am? I got to Mr. Linky at #37! I love this game! Hee hee. Hopefully you're not affected by our muses swirling around you until you post on a Weds morning! They mean no harm, really! They're just your biggest fans. Hee hee. Have a great WOYWW. 49. Hi Julia,

Seeing your shelving for your stamps makes me realize that I really do need to do something about all of the ones I have. My Christmas stamps are kept separately in a plastic box all year round which the rest of my Christmas stuff but the rest of my stamps are in various drawers and in no particular order so I have to search through everything to find what I’m looking for.

No desk from me this week - it's still piled high with stash - it's not likely to get sorted anytime soon either as I'm off to the NEC this weekend, and then of course I will have to play with my newly acquired stash, oh and find a home for it somewhere too. The life of a crafter LOL!!!!!

I did post a piccy of the "Lazy Cats" though for all the addicts out there!!!

  81. I must admit to thinking that I wish I was a put-a-way-a and Elizabeth always comes to mind, and I do follow her coffee/tea rule by the letter, of course I'm sure if you want help tidying up, hundreds will willing help, I'd love to do it, but of course it won't look very much different and you will probably never find a few things ever again...and I will look very much fatter leaving...I'm here twice this week, isn't that clever, thank you to Mandi who very kindly linked me last and this week...which is why I'm only here now saying hi at number 80 something when I was 31 and 33 on the other list...
have a great week...I'm still finding baby things I bought , but were taken...aw well, I love playing with Dulpo lego!

  83. wow - can't believe I didn't leave a comment here on wed. when i linked up... but then again - i did make a hash of that and pressed 'ok' before i checked that i'd changed the URL - really bugs me that wherever mr linky is, he will remember the last url and name you used - so had to do it twice - but never meant to - and that bad thing is, you cannot delete it either Oh well...

now, i zoomed into the desk and from that view - I couldn't see the prima flowers (or did you move them anyway) and I could easily have mistaken the desk for the wrong person if that makes sense???!!! The scorepal dominates - so have you hidden all sorts of things underneath it?

Stamps - hmm you have a few - and definately 100 times more than me - but i don't buy wooden ones or i would definately have to move into the kitchen - and that would mean evicting the dog LOL!!!!

Well, off on me rounds again then.
