What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 76

What isn't on there - a question a few of your pose on some weeks. Well, I'm with you sistahs, this week, my desk shows everything and because I skived from work early on Tuesday, you get a full frontal stark daylight shot. Grim. Because I'm scheduling this post, I suppose I can reassure you that I'm going to clear it up - I need to, I have loads to do and frankly I am now at the stage of needing to start again; it's that bad. Gosh, that empty beer bottle and equally empty foam banana packet doesn't do much for my clean living reputation huh! I'm still beavering over Christmas cards, but have non Christmas stuff in the pipeline too, so the crafty things are all good - it's just the desk that appears to get the better of me! In view of upcoming events , I'm having some lessons from Miss Dunnit about the manipulation of digital images. She is not as patient as I'd like. And apparently, my ability is questionable. I'll show her. Or I'll fall flat on my face.

Some interest to those of you digi babes - Angela at Toucan Scraps (WOYWWer of immense staying power) has put out a call for Tutorial Writers - check it out - you have nothing to lose!
http://colestoucan.blogspot.com/2010/11/tutorial-writers-call-full-time-guests.html

So I've shown you mine - now you show all of us yours! Photo your desk, workspace, counter top, lap tray - whatever you're doing, put it on your blog and then visit here to leave a link. Then loads of us will come by for a rummage. Simple. It's all about sharing what you're doing and showing us what you've got! Thanks!

  3. You can keep the beer, just pass over the foam bananas... I love those sweets and haven't seen them here yet!! Hmmm, methinks a tidy up is perhaps the order of the day... it looks like you have been awfully busy!!

  4. HAHAHA Julia...Full frontal! Just like the TSA scandal in our neck of the woods! Thanks for being transparent and going for the full imaging. We'll show you ours too as always!

  5. I have more of the 2010 version of the Stokes personal Chrissy cards to finish too Julia, but if I don't sell many of the ones I've been making for challenges over the weeks, then they will be called into service too.
Your desk look about as messy as mine this week, although most of my detritus is cleverly out of the shot!

  7. Julia, here I am up at silly o'clock waiting for you to post! There I am thinking you get up and do it! Silly me, of course you schedule it! lol One of the wonders of blogging! I mean how many of us sit and wait to post at midnight or 6 o'clock in the morning? or in my case write it at 5am, and wait to link..lol So while you are learning the intricacies of digi images, please could you just pop over to mine and add my link to your blog every wednesday! Liking the beer bottles and empty sweet packets. Come over to mine I have a packet of biscuits ready to be eaten!

  8. Not sure why I am even trying to comment :) but I do every week! I haven't taken a woyww shot in bright daylight in weeks. I try to snap one just before dd comes home from school (which is usually when I stop crafting for the day and when womww is what WILL BE on mww to continue on Wednesday) but by then it's getting dim. {sigh} Will all my typing be for naught? Hope not!

Wow I thought I'd had an explosion on my desk this week...your desk looks very creative! Creativity and neatness are opposites aren't they? Can you stop taking photos of your ATG gun? (LOL) I sooo want one but the shipping to AUS is really expensive. Think I might get myself one for Christmas and give it to my hubby to wrap!

  32. Now that is a 'busy' desk (trying to be polite LOL). Have fun with the digi stuff - I still haven't ventured into that...find it hard enough moving around the PC under normal circumstances let alone try and be creative on it.

  37. PMSL - as usual. I linked up this morning but had to leg it to work. So here I am, finally able to comment after having read all the comments, and I'm definitely PMSL.

First up, Foam bananas. I must have had a mis-spent youth. 'specially as my folks were running a dance school/am dram society. My first thought was "what the hell has Ms Dunnit got foam bananas on her desk for?". Second thought was "nah, must be a pack for bananas made of foam". I hadn't clicked on the pic to enlarge, you see.... I completely forget people eat those foam banana sweets.....yak......

I have visions of Jennie poised over her return key this morning, going "wait for it....wait for it....." and Doone has commented on my blog already this morning and apparently I'm a primate (fab.... LOL). Today is definitely looking up!

  61. If you are so clever at your blog then the digital manipulation should be a doddle. Easiest way I have found is to let all those with whizzy fingers to get out of the way then just plod along however that's a problem if it has to be sorted by Sat! Good luck

  62. So nice to see a return to form. I had to think for a minute what foam bananas were! And I'm rather interested in the plans for the beer bottle! I think I'm 92 this week, which is amazing as I'm linking 45 mins earlier than normal!!

  68. Hi re: malware - you may have an oversensitive virus checker or firewall set up - I have links to my web in recent posts, as well as embedded images and videos - some virus checkers ( darn them) will put up malware messages because of those links - it isn't mal ware and the message is deceptive - it should differentiate and say - there are links on this page ...have checked out my end ( ooh err mississ) and the blog and web site is virus and malware free....

  88. My work desk is tempoarily out of bounds due to a family move but this is just to say Thankyou to everyone who called by last week with comments
on my blog. I managed to get round nearly all of your lovely desks and leave a message. To answer a couple of questions. The smocked material is still drapped over my sewing machine. I don't plan to reuse it for anything at the mo. Just enjoying my childhood looking at it.
A rug mug is a quilted mat bigger than a coaster that will take both your mug of tea/coffee plus a couple of cookies on the side. The one I am making is nearly finished so will post a pic next Wednesday.
