67 What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Considering it doesn't look so bad, I must say it's felt as though I've been working in a real jumble this week. You will see for modesty's sake I've draped some lace over the phallic symbol - or ATG tape gun, whichever occurs to you first! My notebook has been doubly employed a stamping surface for reasons I cannot really account for, and I think the rest of the stuff is self explanatory. And just in case you think I am actually working tidy - get an eyeful of my cuttlebug 'section' - immediately to the left of my desk. S H A M BL E S. Can't find a thing, die storage driving me loopy. But it's OK. I'm finishing work at lunch time today so I can whip over to Tidworth to meet a fellow WOYWWer - how fab is that! And then when I get home, I'll spend a little tidy up time on this section so I can start again as soon as!

Please show your work space and what you're up to....we love seeing it. Post a pic on your blog, come back here and add your link to the ever helpful Mr Linky. Lots of people visit lots of people, some people will visit everyone, some in one day, others over a bunch of days. No matter - this is about the showing, the sharing and the visiting. Because of the numbers involved, a lot of you return the visits that others make to you. Piddawinkle suggests that it would be so much easier to do this if you include your Linky number with the comment as you leave one. Make it a lot easier to track down those of you who use a blog name and have divulged your 'real' name. Good idea huh. Now all you have to do is to remember to do it!

  4. Hi Julia, you did make me chuckle with your post, love that you draped the lace over your gun, lol!

Lots to see as always, my cuttlebug section is just like yours, creative chaos!

Enjoy your day, hope you had fun craft shopping? I am off to do just that, have lots of birthday money burning a hole in my purse, off to raid The Craft Barn, have a super day Heidi xx

  10. Never mind the tape gun, look at that yummy lace LOL. I am not surprised your area is busy this morning with all those Christmas cards you have planned. Enjoy your day with a fellow WOYWWer, what great fun. See you back here later, have a good day, Tracy x

  11. What an exciting day you have planned. You are so lucky. When I saw your die cut area, I thought "I need to get over there and help her clean that up." Of course, I would get distracted by the tape gun (grin) and start giggling like a schoolgirl and all the cleaning and sorting would go out the window. Have a great day, dear friend.

  14. Oooo what a lovely mess Julia, hehehe still think I beat you in the mess stakes this week though. I've got wool wrappers everywhere, tape measures, wool, books, hooks and card stuff and thats just on the table, let alone everything else on the floor and out of sight (out of mind, makes me feel tidier lol).
Good idea from piddawinkle might just have to use that...if i remember that is :)

  17. As fast as I posted I moved down the ranks - love the idea, complicated in principle. My craft mat gets used for cutting and stamping but also as a food mat - so bust getting on forget to move things! (was Mr linky no 7, last seen at 13!)

  24. Yo! Me iz in at #38! That lace on the ATG is such a stroke of Victorian inspired genius - love it!! Of course, the other alternative would be to store it laying down... Hopefully I will get a picture of my desk on my blog later - never know your luck!!!

  25. Now that's a stash pushed to the side your desk isn't that bad just looks like your in the middle ... I'm only 32 today was trying to be younger but alas it's tough around here lol

  29. I'm 43 today! Oh yes, I remember it well! Good idea there from Piddawinkles making me younger.
Your desk is busy, busy busy... so what! Still room to craft. Get drilling that handle of Mr BigATG and you can hang him up out of the way.
Have fun today and say Hi from all of us to the WOYWWer you meet. Wonder who?
    Love JoZarty x

  30. What a delicate 'cache-sexe' you have for your ATG. Mine gets unceremoniously thrust through the arm of my craft light and hangs suspended, out of my way until needed!

  47. Hi Julia, Can see that your Cuttlebug space is doing your head in....but what's the answer.....a bigger machine with storage space (I'm tempted!)or a bigger desk? Or just a shelf (possible Mr. D could help!) When you solve it - let me know....I'll be watching this space!

Have a lovely day at Tidworth. Great to meet fellow crafters. ikki x

  48. Your desk is quite clear Julia,, lots of space to work ; love the lace :-) And if you think your section is a shambles, wait till you see my desk! Funny I've used the same word to describe mine. I'm number 77 (but I suspect we don't all read every comment)

Well I'm number 81, and I have a request that some of your cleaning-up could be wished Down Under to help me do the same over the weekend. Just love this chance to sneak-a-peek at everyones desk and share my slice of chaos.
    See you next week

  52. Oh dear Julia, you've really gone and done it now!! It honestly hadn't occured to me about the handle being a bit phallic, and now I will be having a giggle every time I grasp that handle!!!!!

Loving your desk and your swing - it's lovely to know we are normal xxx

  56. You ever heard the quote "I live in my own little world...but that's okay, they know me here."? Lol. I'm so glad to see someone else who creates under chaotic conditions. Maybe we're just channeling Jackson Pollack. In any case, good to know you all!

  57. Aaargh, I'm like JoZart and have aged even more. I'm 87 and will do my best to remember to put it in any comments but at my age I'm afraid the old memory is not what it was (and it's never been much cop really, Lol).

I'm pleased to find that Blogger seems to have got over it's prolonged hissy fit and is responding to my requests today so I'm hoping I get to visit a lot more than the half dozen I managed last week!

Like the look of that 'upside down' tree stamp I see lurking in the bottom right Julia.

  111. Wow - i can't believe that cuttlebug desk Julia... i need to organise that for you...

I haven't taken part (so far) this week because I had to swot up for an interview which was supposed to happen today when I returned to work for my second session back. Anyway, they sussed the amount of pain i was in, said i wasn't well enough to go through the interview and cancelled it. They also accepted i wasn't well enough to be at work and told me to go home and go back to the doctors in the morning - and didn't want to see me back in work. So i've had a pretty traumatic time again, but i'll visit desks rather than show mine this week as i just didn't do it.

I've lost the plot a bit these last few weeks and haven't had any energy to do this blogging lark properly. i've just been showing a couple of cards so people know that i'm still around.

anyway, hope your meeting with the WOYWWer went well - its always exciting to meet a fellow crafter and gab away the hours...

    take care and 'chat' soon
