Aha - Jennie, have a look at the desk...I've only actually really started the suitcases! That's a record, it's only been about 6 weeks since you gifted them to me. How exciting! Yes, interweb, I'm multi-tasking. And I feel all over the place! I think last week I threatened someone with a view of my ink pad storage...so that's why there's so much photography this week. Odd isn't it that my 'drawers' are fairly well organised and my desk top is well, like it is. Anyway, to celebrate I've changed my Nicki Logo. Yep, I'm an organised WOYWWer, I just feel all over the place.
The little pots with the coloured lids contain embossing powders. They are much easier in use than the cylindrical tubs you buy the stuff in - you have to try hard to knock it over and the wide opening makes it a cinch to get the powder back in. Usually. *Grin at Shopkeeper Gal* (she who hoovers after the Workshops, see.) The writing on each lid is actually on a clear sticker - so I'm not committed. Clever, huh. No really, let me have that. And that's it. If you like the look of my luggage, nip over to the Stamp Connection and get your own. The small one will be for business cards when I've finished. My desk will love it.And talking of desks - show us yours. Get Mr Linky charged up - you know him - the cyber god that can link us all in a big ol' cultcircle thing whilst simultaneously arranging neat rows of numbered names and controlling gigabytes (as Linda might say) - show us your desk. Work surface. Where you craft. Or where you work....We wanna see what you're doing, and what you've got. So link in and leave a comment too, and we'll swing round to your place. Right now I'm off to put the kettle on. Join me, do.
Love your desk this week, and I use those pots for my clear EP too (and my glitters), all the other varieties (probably do have 57....) that I rarely use are in the shop supplied ones. (Maybe that's why I don't use them, hmmm!! Off to start the ward rounds - sorry, desks - now!
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeletewow you are tidy, can't wait to see the finished suitcase, luv all the pots, mine are still in the silly ones they come in!! May take a trip to the range for some like theses, ingenious not writting on the lid! Have great day hun, sue,x
Love all your little storage boxes this week Julia. Really colourful :-)
ReplyDeleteA x
Very organised I must say..
ReplyDeletexx
Always fun to peak and see....
ReplyDeleteSuitcases look FAB Julia, can't wait to see 'em finished... LOL at your Linda-esque Mr Linky quote..he is very clever though :O)) I keep all my EP's in their original tubs cos I would never have thought to pop them into something that is virtually impossible to knock over ROFL Have goodly day hun xx
ReplyDeleteI love your little boxes. The tops are so zingy and eye catching. I cannot wait to see the finished suitcases. Sure these will be FABULOUS.....she says sloping off to Stamp Connection! :)
ReplyDeleteLike the idea with the tubs, I am forever spilling embossing powder and glitter all over! x
ReplyDeleteOH! chufty chufty! I am soo pleased you started them.. what more can I say! Are you a convert now??? rofl.. love your organisation, just wish mine wasn't piled up round my room, think I need less stuff, and more room!
ReplyDeleteHugs xx
That would be me you threatened. I see these drawers are neat and tidy. They actually look better than mine (grin).
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask what the thing on the back of your work desk was, not being able to find your suitcase, then realized you had deconstructed it. Some days I need to be hit in the head before I get it.
Hope it's still cool there. Here it is nearly 2 am in my world and the heat index is still 100 F or 38 C. I'll trade you in a heartbeat.
I love all the ink pads and how you have them all in baskets and on shelves so you can see them.
ReplyDeleteElaine
and once again I find it amazing that another crafter has loads of stamping pads. I have two - and they are both black. There is probably something terribly wrong with me but I don't dare to try to figure out why =)
ReplyDeleteOOh there's a nice place to come & play :D ... love the storage tubs !
ReplyDeleteOh you are good, I have had these little suitcases for ages .. and still they sit on my crsfting shelfs looking the smae as ever. But what a fab idea, Card holders .. urm , got me a thinking now, lol
ReplyDeleteGot to say, yes, I do keep my embossing in the origanal pots .. and yes, they go every where , so anaoyed I never thought of such a simples , (lol) way of doing them ... oh well we all cannot be that good, lol
Your draws do look very organised and your desk doesn't look to bad either LOL. Love the look of the suitcases and what a great idea for the small one, can't wait to see the finished article. After reading your blog think I will go and get a brew now before having a nose at everyone's desk. Have a good day, Tracy Evans x
ReplyDeleteLove your colour coding, well, I like to believe they are colour coded, but they're probably not, don't think I've come across orange embossing power! (But I don't get out much) I use the bigger pot idea for my clear embossing power, as that seems to be the only one I use loads of, all others are still in their little pots and some are even still sealed with their little plastic coats! Oh look, it's 8 o'clock! and with any luck I won't be late for work today!
ReplyDeleteHappy woywwwing!
Great idea with the tubs! Desk looks full and fab as always.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
Carly x

ReplyDeleteHey Julia!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat desk this week hun xx This WOYWW is so much fun xx
Morning Julia, very organised this week, love the cupboard and the embossing pots. I do love messy desks though, mine has been like that all week, lol! Have a super weekend, hugs Heidi x
ReplyDeleteGreat storage! Can't wait to see what you do with the suitcase!
ReplyDeleteLove the 25th cards on your earlier blog - you have been busy - hope its a great occasion!
ReplyDeleteare they really your drawers? hmmmm, so it only gets messy when you do stuff? so in reality you are not one of us truly disorderly doers? I just dare not show my drawer contents - even my labels are crossed out 4 or 5 times - can't seem to get things to stay the same for long....
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm impressed! The shelves slide out! That's terrific! Patsy from
ReplyDeleteHeARTworks
Can't wait to see how those suitcases turn out, and love how organised your drawers are! Good tip about the embossing powders too. Your place always looks like a room I'd love to come and play in ...
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia
ReplyDeletelook at those inkpads lol, nice and neat!.love all the diff coloured lids on your pots
Joey.x
it's always great to see how everyone organizes stuff. i can dream of having the space one day.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Clever idea with the embossing powder... must try that as the pots are driving me nuts! I'm playing truant this week, Miss, sorry! I'm away at a conference and haven't had a chance to photograph my desk. Promise I'll be back next week :)
ReplyDeleteGoof morning Julia! I am impressed with all your organised drawers! and a fab idea for the embossing powders! Have a great day!
ReplyDeletehugs

Now I've got to rush out and buy tubs... why didn't I think of doing that before? love your desk and look forward to seeing those suitcases fini.
ReplyDeleteI love the aspect of your desk and I'd could move mine to the window but I love my round table.
Hello I'm back from my trip to the USA.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to take a pic of my desk when I get to the studio later on today.
I have all my embossing powders in tubs to. All my ink pads are lined up in Ikea drawers - they are just the right size.
Love looking at peoples workspace thank you for sharing yours.
MMM thats a great idea for the embossing powders. May have to invest in some wee tubs as mine are a nightmare. Hey I too may become Overly Organised. (In my dreams!!! LOL)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting again. Love Hazelxox
Very organise and the suitcases look like they are coming along nicely.
ReplyDelete** Kate **
I'm reeling here from the idea that you are overly organised away from your desk LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm 'altering' as well this week and can't wait to see what you do with those suitcases
..........and finally I joined in, love seeing what everyone is up to and glad mine is not the only ultra messy one !!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely desk as always ... and lovin' your drawers!
ReplyDeleteNail polish is going to be an everyday event now I am no longer a typing gal for hours and hours.
Sorry about messing up Mr Linky I posted on the wrong blog .... having said it was only doing the one!!!!
Hugs
Kay
Love the view of the desk this week Julia :-) Nice to see you're working on the little cases. I love your little tubs for embossing powders, nice colourful lids ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnne xx
Me thinks that you will have inspired the whole of the UK to go shopping today for little square tubs with brightly coloured lids!!!!
ReplyDeleteLin
Oh lots of lovely stuff there Julia and no I could never say I'm an organised crafter - EVER!!! It starts off well and then as soon as I'm finished it starts spiralling downwards at a rapid rate of knots.
ReplyDeleteSam x
ooooh those suitcases are divine :0)
ReplyDeleteand just for you...i've become a *swinger* lol
I always wonder how your crafty bits don't fall out of the window. The first thing to catch my eye were the lovely coloured lids to your little boxes. Sunshine for dull days eh?
ReplyDeleteLuv Joanne xx
Great way to celebrate your organising make-over. Things in cupboards should be organised or we wouldn't find anything back. It would be a great shame, coz then we wouldn't be able to create and then we couldn't have WOYWW to show what's on or workdesk. Everything relates to each other here! :)
ReplyDelete** Evi **
I need some of those little boxes! The one thing I hate about powders and glitters is getting them back into the little tubes and pots!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
I'm liking the tubs for embossing powders too - much more sensible than the silly little pots. Your drawers are so organised!!
ReplyDeleteFirst WOYWW for me today, not from want of trying! Love it!!
Tracy :)x
Love the suitcases julia & the tubs get some cheap teaspoons no need to tip them then thanks for the snoop
ReplyDeleteAnne xx
Great suitcases gotta go lookie lol i love seeing all your stuff but i have to be good and not go mad :P LOL
ReplyDeleteI confess ... I am not sharing those Mr Linky type feelings ... no accounting for taste :0) I feel all over the place today ... I look organised ... but inside ... I am a mess!!! Hey Ho ... no change there then :0)
ReplyDeleteGreat to see some work going on there, lol - I'm not the only one who works in a mess, then but you're MUCH tidier than I am, lol.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo our queen is ORGANIZED! I love the new logo!
ReplyDeleteRamona :-)

Do you, perchance, hire out Mr Dunnit?
ReplyDeleteI would love all those kinds of cupboards and shelves in my tiny domain. I'm sure himself could do a wonderful job!
Chrissie
Another fan of the Whispers ink pads! I have a load of them too, have they stopped making them now? or have thay got a name change?? Productive desk as ever!! Have a great week Julia!

ReplyDeleteLoving WOYWW and have linked in - although my workdesk is from boring paid for work today!
ReplyDeleteI need some time to get back into my craft area and create!
Hey Julia! First timer happy to be joining in with my messy work desk from South Florida, USA. Enjoying your clever organizational tips and the peek at your lovely green garden from your studio doors!
ReplyDeleteWell you ARE organised! Oh jeez, I'd totally be exposed for the mess maker that I am if I showed a peek inside of my storage drawers. Yeeks!
ReplyDeleteHey, I like that luggage and you have a ton, TON! of ink. I'm jealous! :)
Thanks for the peek!
Amy
awesome organization! I bet you can find what you're looking for in an instant!
ReplyDeletelove the drawers and the little pot ideas, but I love all the stuff on your desk, don't tidy we need to have a good nosy, lol! K x
ReplyDeleteI'm back after our fab holiday!
ReplyDeleteLove that view of your garden from your window Julia!
x
Since I'm JUST starting to be a stamper and paper crafter myself, I am learning SO much from your desk and everyone elses' desks! I love those little tubs of powder! Who knew?
ReplyDeleteOh Julia -I have a weakness for ink-there's always a new colour or type coming out and they are all a bit different so difficult to store. I just indulged in 2 sets of versamagic from the ole' armchair shop. It's best not to switch on the TV then can't be tempted! Lots of love BettyXXX
ReplyDeletecool drawers, mine are pretty tidy too, I'm just rubbish at putting things back into them lol Looking forward to seeing the altered suitcases
ReplyDeleteYep - my desk top is so messy compared to my shelves and drawers. I can pretty much out my hand on anything I want without any bother - which is probably why I get soooooo mad when there's something that I can't actually find. Like the memory card I took out of the camera after I'd done my photo today and then took till now to re-locate. aaaghhh
ReplyDeleteSo organised! I just love your shelf/basket/drawers they are great. And crafting with the window open - do things not blow away? x
ReplyDeletethat looks quite a tidy desk for you this week Julia, would you be able to do a piece telling us how to get the badges as I have tried and failed dismally, boo hoo :(
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with your EP pots, I have a fair few, but never use them, they are packed away in a drawer. hmmm I need better storage so I can see them and use them. I look forward to seeing your suitcases finished, will you add luggage labels?
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd pop in even though I haven't WOYWW'd ...forgot it was actually Wednesday and I still haven't managed to get my mojo back so I am not putting myself under presure ...just visiting a few friends xx
ReplyDeleteGreat desk today.

LOL I really should post pictures first to stop people from getting confused with the dates - sorry to all who were confused :).
ReplyDeleteI've now put todays photos on the blogg.
Oooh very organised draws - look forward to seeing the finished suitcases :-)
ReplyDeleteSo the saying 'clean desk, messy drawers' works in reverse too? Amazing!! LOL
ReplyDeleteCor 6 weeks is super quick, I thought things that need altering/tarting have to gather dust for at least 6 months first!!
ReplyDeleteI've just got new inkpad storage - showing on the blog later this week! xx
You are very organized! I've been wanting to put my embossing powders in larger containers only for it to keep falling the the bottom of the to do list.
ReplyDeleteWhat organisation, Julie. I love the EP storage. I've always intended to do this but just never got round to it!!! Story of my life really.
ReplyDeleteI'll certainly join you in a cuppa-oopps sorry do you mean WOYWW, well I've done that too.
Hugs Lisax
"One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries." A.A. Milne
ReplyDeleteConsidering that I opened up a tool box and found some missing ink pads, I'll have to adopt that motto until all my ink pads finally come home. Lol Congrats on your accomplishment!
Just made it this week..... will try and get here earler next week promice;)

ReplyDeletelove the suitcases, would love something like that to play with :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog! FYI: the calendar on my desk is just being used as a pad. I like to stamp off on it and jot notes to myself in no particular square. Lol
ReplyDeleteI'm finally back to your desk. Very tidy inky spot I must say... Love the colourful ep pots too
ReplyDeleteisa
Nothing beats a tidy ink storage area, even if the desk is a well used area of mass construction...have to admit to being the same. Love your luggage too, can't wait to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteLoving those tubs of embossing powder!!
ReplyDeleteI have just linked my pic up - posted it last night and totally forgot to come over and enter it. D'OH.
Oh no you have started on your suitcases and have only had them 6 weeks - I bought mine last November now I am in a panic! Very tidy desk and storage you have there too!

Donations of goodies would be great thanks, anything that kids can use, basic stuff really. Colouring books, pencils, skipping ropes, soft toys etc that kind of thing. Don't need sweeties as pete usually gets a huge pallet donated each year.
