What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 55

I took this photo yesterday, about
5.30pm. It was very hot sitting at the workdesk. This morning the room is in total shade and because I'm still in my nightie, I'm freezing! Contrasts. This morning the first job is to clear this desk - ready for me to begin chopping and counting stock for Thursday's workshops. When I say clear, I mean the area of my glass mat .....for in truth I'm half way through some more hearts to sell and I don't wanna put stuff away just to get it back out again! I think that's the theory behind push-back. Works for me!
Amongst the erm, stash, are two of my favourite stamps - both by Dawn Houser -(the ones I used on the tag shown yesterday - must be my fave all time designer in rubber. I think...I'm not unsure of my devotion, I just don't know if I can make the commitment of 'definitely' my favourite - I mean, what if I discovered another!! Don't ask me ever to do a list of my top 10 of anything will ya? You can clearly see the broken 'S' of the B wordI talked about last week, and good grief, one of the suitcases Jennie gave me has found it's way onto the desk...this probably signifies some sort of intent! Probably. There's also my pair of black non-stick teflon coated scissors. Love 'em. Loved them even more before I had the bright idea of sharpening them and so removed the tungsten coating from the blade edges. Foolish old woman. Still, they're nice and sharp!

We're waiting to see your work space please - photo it, upload it to your blog and use Mr Linky here to show us where - easy. Doesn't have to be papercrafts and it doesn't have to be a desk - just show us what you're working on, it's fascinating! See you in a minute or so then!

  2. You are so funny. I am still laughing over this post. I can't believe you are cold. Not sure how cold it gets there, but it's SUMMER, Julia. Here our nights are in the mid 70s F (not sure but think around 25C). If you're cold, I'll trade you places this summer.

Glad to see you are making more of those hearts. They are my favs. And what did we do before Crop-A-Diles? Happy WOYWW.

As for ATC's, I actually don't have any of those...have never made one either. It's something I'd like to try, so perhaps that will be something to look for on my desk next week :)

  46. Crikey, I've just added my link and we're already past 60 today! No way I'll get round them all, but I'll get to as many as I possibly can!

Our study gets the sun from first thing in the morning through the front window, then gets the afternoon sun through the side window. In the evening the sunlight bounces off the windows and right into my eyes when I'm at the pc! Consequently the blinds are usually down!
I have my trusty tower-fan for company today!

  55. Lovin your hearts Julia, your tag is fab too, now are you feeling brave enough to tackle those suitcases, altering, distressing etc doesn't come easy to me either, can sit for hours and it still never seems as good as some of the fabby pieces I see, but the most important is that I've enjoyed myself.
    xx

    ReplyDelete
  56. Certainly wasn't cold here, it's been roasting all night and all morning, making me feel quite ill. I don't do well in the heat. I love that you are getting into altering and grunge-but not-quite-grunge lol You do know we are all sitting waiting for the suitcase to get done now!

    ReplyDelete
  57. what's that little woodblock |I spy at the back with WOYWW on it? What are your plans for that then or did I blink and miss it already?

Looks very sunny and I'm in full agreement of the push back theory. Why put everything away to do something else to get it all out again? That's why I'm doing my workshop prep on the dining table so I can leave my stash be!!

  63. Good grief - cold? I was melting last night - ended up changing into my jammies at 7pm as my jeans were to warm. Trouble is when I sleep I like a blanket on me - no matter the weather. Partly because the mozzies find me extremely tasty and partly because I feel more secure and snuggly and thus sleepy if I'm all covered up - so have to prepare to melt. We must maybe have it warmer here in kent.

  75. Eeh oop Julia. I kicked the Hero Arts habit a while ago as you can probably tell from the age of my stamps. I saw one of those stamps-a 1996 Penny Black on Ebay a while ago and it had been bid up to about £10. Decided I didn't really want to weed out some stamps as I do still like them. I am a Stampin' Up junkie now I'm afraid. Love BettyXXX
