Fiona's inchy challenge is 'Leaf' which of course I've had to interpret because I can't do
one of anything and also...one inchy does not a card make for me! Same style as before too - inchy mounted and stuck over relevant part of same image. All made from scraps so am not too unhappy about it.
And then on the right, my card for the Daring Cardmakers challenge, which is Shabby Chic. Hmm, always leads me back to the thought that it should be grunge style and accomodate lots of wee wee colours, but as you know, I can't do that. So it's turned into an 'old lady' card as Miss Dunnit was kind enough to dub it whilst waiting for me to photograph it this morning. And she did wait too; I'd offered her a lift to College so that she could have a bit of a lie-in - the bus times don't work well for her first lesson time on a Wednesday and I took pity on her. That'll teach me. I can't send this card to anyone now because it has connotations!
Come on then - show us your workspace - desk, floor, surface, lap tray...we don't mind! Show us what you're working on and how you work. Fab. We'll drop in for a nosey. Add a button from the left margin if you like. Makes you easier to recognise!
How come you don't get into a mess like I do. I think you have a tidy around myself, lol
ReplyDeletebeautiful cards you have created .. now ... if you really want to ... I would take a deep breath

Then look , lol have a good week x
I beat you to it today :-) Would add a button if only I knew how. I'm pretty new to all this.

I am off work so I get to WOYWW much earlier in the day!
ReplyDeleteLove the leaf stamp, really lovely.
Whats a gloop stamp?
:-)
Thanks for your help but I've tried that and it says I have to specify an image. There are 20 basic gadgets I could use which one should I click on? Maybe a picture? what html code do I put in? Sorry I am feeling really stupid for asking. A x
ReplyDeleteI can't show my work desk today as it is full of secrets ... so when I have decided what to show you instead I will be joining in for week 16!
ReplyDeleteYour posts usually cheer me and inspire me to type funny and interesting retorts ... well I like to think so anyway ... but today I am walking away with a heavy heart ...
Miss Dunnit thinks I am an old lady :0( Because I LOVE that card :0)
I vote that you make her walk to college next Wednesday :0)
A very clever inchy card. That's a really good idea.

Wahoo I've done it. Thanks for all your help. Sorry for being such a dipso. A x
ReplyDeleteooh i love the old lady card!
ReplyDeleteLove the Desk Julia, looks like a very busy workspace, mines had been cleaned within an inch of its life, not much work being down at the minute for obvious reasons.. That is Tommy's school friend Jamie, who came for tea that night, so glad Tommy does not have a brother, as we would be bringing him up too, I have dones 6 kids already and now my grandson so 7 is enough....LOL. thanks for visiting me on my 1st day back. Hugs Avril xxxx
ReplyDeleteFinally I have managed to get my photos to load so I have now done my WOYWW. I love Wednesdays and will be peaking at everyones spaces later.
ReplyDeleteThat Leaf card is brilliant ...so clever. The fern brought back memories of when I dabbled with cake decorating ...we used it with icing roses.
I daren't show anyone my desk as it's piled in a heap from stuff I dumped on it last night! How come I have a fab room to craft in but still end up on the floor crafting on a tuesday night in front of the telly! I love the inchies on the card - I agree, 1 inchie on a card gets lost!
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks full of interesting bits and bobs today, I've had a good old peer at all the bits and pieces on it, you can be sure!
ReplyDeleteCheeky monkey to label your DCM card "old lady" - you should save it and give it to her on her next birthday.....
Love the way you've used the inchies too - great idea.
My desk is shockingly clear today (well, for me) you can see what's on it here
Loving the stuff on your desk julia - great inchies - I love the way you show them actually being used, rather than mine which are all over the place! lol!
ReplyDeleteGreat inchie Card!!! love the change of colour in the leaves. I'm finally back on track and have managed to join in again this week :)

ReplyDeleteHi Julia yer we are not that far from each other are we.
ReplyDeleteYes I always stamp up loads to colour for several reasons one I give loads away and live practically across the road from the beach so I have my bag permanently packed ready to go to the beach and colour and if rain stops me going to the beach in the afternoon I can be found in Costa coffee in Gosport with my double expresso ...yes you guessed it with my copic or promarkers colouring in peace !! Lol
The clips I got for scrap booking ...watch my blog I am sure they will be appearing on there soon !! He he
Love Susie xx
Oh blimming 'eck it's wednesday is it? Ack. Be right back...
ReplyDeleteHi Julie, thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThe little ‘wheel’ container on my desk that you asked about is an Anita’s Gem Wheel that I brought in ‘The Range’ They come in two sizes and each one is filled with hundreds of little flat backed gems in twelve different colours.
I just love them, even though the tiny ones are a tad fiddly.
*puff, puff* I'm back and I've WOYWW'ed.
ReplyDeleteI love your leaf card and have been helping (ha!) Devon do decoupage the last couple of days so may have to try and snag your idea, use what I've learned on her decoupage to have a go at some ATC's. Hmm.
I noticed that about Angies WOYWWs too - it was a 'pooh, why didn't I think of that moment ;)
Great cards and I love the shabby chic one - beautiful colours.
