When cutting tiny letters out for my birthday cards I scribble various colours on a piece of card and then just randomly cut out - you could do just yellow and purple? One of my most treasured possessions is a wooden box, full of handwritten recipe cards (5x7 so very readable!) that my MIL gave to me when Chris and I got engaged. All the favourites are in there and I have added to it thru the years. It is stuffed to overflowing. It is sure to be a much loved keepsake when you finish. And I will love to see it for sure.
