Here you are Neet, nothing's changed whilst you're busy getting better....
I'm going to hazard a guess that there won't be any shock at the sight of this particular desk, I'm counting on the idea that you'd be disappointed if it was in any other state. It's remarkable really, considering I haven't actually used the desk for anything vaguely crafty. Until last weekend. I went to a friend's SU! Card making marathon on Saturday and made some lovely Christmas cards. I had sort of decided not to make any this year as they need doing soon and my heart just hasn't been in it. So I found myself remembering what I used to say to people that came to my workshops and marathons....removing yourself from the house and crafting in company can very often be just what you need. Luxury.

Good to see you Julia, and a very busy desk! I have kind of stalled with my cards but am nearly there (I think!) It sounds like you hit a perfect spur to get you going! Happy WOYWW Helen #2
ReplyDeleteWell I'm glad you have managed a crafty session it will have done the world of good to get together with fellow crafters. Don't stress about C cards - just do stuff that makes you feel good. I've tried a few C cards but not very successfully. I may have to do a bit of hand stitching to bling them up🤣x x Jo 🌈
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear you've had some craft therapy...it's just the best way of getting through difficult times. I've made a few cards but I have also bought some this year so don't stress...in the whole measure of things it's not important.

Glad that getting out of the house to craft helped Julia. Sorry for the generic comment but I wanted to visit everyone before I start packing - early start tomorrow. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
ReplyDeleteBlimey, is that bag still going? That’s lasted ok, nice to see it’s still in action! I’m glad you enjoyed your crafting day, nice to sit down and do someone else’s kits. I’m not making cards this year, not enough time!
ReplyDeleteHope you’re all ok,

Good advice from a wise woman :D. I agree - getting out of the house (and out of your head) often helps . Hope you are doing ok and things are progressing. And I hope you enjoyed the workshop.
ReplyDeleteHappy mad-dash WOYWW!

I was going to ask if your bag was a Jan special and then read her comment, so I am guessing it is. I definitely agree that getting out and crafting in company is like a little holiday! Happy WOYWW. Angela #10
