What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 627

It’s been a week of sunshine and smiles, busy and relaxed, and even…GASP…a bit of desk action. That Annie and her devoted came to Wiltshire in their motor home, and we met for lunch in the sun on Saturday. It was so good. We relaxed, and some of us had very large ice creams. Not Annie, she has self control. We sat in the shade of the awning and had post lunch coffee and chatted. All afternoon. Quite a lot of laughing, and even a bit of cricket too. I am happy to report that Annie is looking fine and well, she and her devoted are getting a lot out of life, family and motor home. We could all learn something.
Me and Jan had a video chat last week too, long overdue. She’s a patient woman and didn’t once complain that all I did was rustle and dip in and out of camera whilst I tidied. Yep. Tidied. Well, as I do, tidied enough to reveal the glass mat and therefore consider the desk entirely useable again. See that scrapbook title under the glass mat. It’s not always on show is it, but it’s always there and really, it’s totally applicable to every day. Annie said something that turned the lightbulb on (Of course, I don’t remember what…) and I’ve since spent a couple of happy hours stamping and cutting and am now looking forward to colouring time! It’s more of the same, but it doesn’t matter does it.

Those of you that visited Hublet last week on Shaz’s blogspot will have seen the piece of art that Debbie had made for Doug. A memorial piece for dear Shaz; you can see love in every brush stroke and Shaz in every element and colour. Well, there’s limitless kindness in Debbie, and she has offered to make a version for anyone who would like such a keepsake.

All you have to do is make contact with Debbie; her blog is www.acrafterslife.blogspot.co.uk, or you can message her through Facebook. I can’t think of a better way to remember Shaz than for one of her great friends to make art like this.

And then, as if you’ve got nothing else to do, please show us your desk antics. Blog, link it here and add to the fun please.

Lovely to see friends again, isn’t it? I actually ventured out into the world for a walk to Stourhead finally and a trip to the local ScOpe shop for Maddie to let them know she is back to volunteer. It was daunting but now I’ve done it once...off for a haircut today! Woo boo. Rapunzul hair is no fun. Your desk looks amazingly tidy and the glass mat saying is on point for sure.

Have a happy Wednesday!

How lovely to have visitors! and I'm glad seeing Annie has kicked you out of the crafty doldrums. I have a crafty friend popping in today - haven't seen her for a year and now she is moving away - maybe she'll do the same for me!! Tidying is all I ever do in the craft room at the mo. That artwork by Debbie is amazing, but then it always is. I too am so glad summer is here - would have been nice to have some kind of gradual move through Winter/Spring/Summer but hey ho it is what it is. Thermals to shorts in a week. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx

Before I shoot off to the caravan I’ll saying a quick good morning to you Julia and say Debbie’s gift brought a tear to my eye, it’s perfect.
I got very smiley reading about your meet up with Annie. I can imagine what a lovely time you all had. Maybe we should all get motor homes and have a clan gathering in a field socially distanced haha xxx

Hi Julia, I think that many people will have realised by now what really matters in life if this awful pandemic hasn't taught them anything else. It's so wonderful to be able to meet up with friends and family again even at a distance. The gift from Debbie is perfect. I'll be back later to look what everyone's been up to but have to take Maisie to the vet's first. Have a lovely creative woyww. Hugs Angela x17x

Well I never knew that quote was there so your desk must be tidy - got to admit it was a bit of a shock to see your craft mat too! All that talk of tidying puts me to shame though - could have managed the ice cream mind you! Thanks for your help with the little keepsakes & I do have to apologise to you for the unbearable lenght of my blog this week - I promise it is a one off and a much more maneagable short post will be resumed next week. Much love dearest Julia.

Happy WOYWW. Wonderful to see some crafty action on your desk. I am getting into the busy next few months of lots of birthdays and other occasions to craft for (unless I can't be bothered, and then I buy a card from Moonpig!), and I still have lots of scrapbooking/mixed media projects in my head. I know that our house purchase and its renovation will be taking a lot of my time and energy though. I am going to have to put one day per week in the diary for my craft room. Ali x #23

Just saw your comment to me. Annette and I did a swap recently, even though she is not posting on her blog. She and I became great friends when she moved to Canada. We had a running joke because her son Christopher was standing next to a moose and she called it a bear. I gently corrected her and she immediately sent me a moose key chain. Then I sent her something with a moose on it, and it became a favorite joke with us. I knew YOU would remember her, but I wasn't sure Helen would, was why I asked. I'm a bit fuzzy as to who "all" were posting those first three years of WOYWW who are still posting.

What a lovely week! We've been so tempted by a motorhome ourselves but just can't find what we want yet (they're suddenly popular... who knew?!) And Jan on the screen too! It sounds fabulous. I'm glad to see you back cutting and colouring and I did laugh at the "rustle and dip" comment thinking it might be a new dance move! LOVE Debbie's awesome piece for Shaz - how perfect! Bye for now, Lisa-Jane, #8

Yay for tidying! I did too - but it's all messed up again. Your work surface looks so inviting! For the few days my desk remained clear of clutter, I would just stop by and admire it - but of course, keeping your desk empty kinda defeats the purpose. What a wonderful description of your afternoon with Annie! Sounds so idyllic, especially the ice-cream part! And what a stunning piece of art from Debbie - I missed last week, so will stop by Doug's to find out more. Have a lovely week, Julia xx

Is "Today is a good day ..." etched into your mat? If it is - Kewl!!
Lovely to see you doing the same as what i do lots of the time, fussy cutting and colouring. So relaxing. I do it whilst watching the tv, to be sociable to the other half, as I cannot sit and do nothing.
How lovely to meet up with Annie and to have a video chat with Jan. Technology is wonderful and what a God send it has been during the pandemic for so many people.
Yes, there has been a massive increase in the take up of the vaccine in Bolton, I just hope other areas do it too. It's the threat of having something taken away from them that makes people realise there is only one alternative. Still, at least it made them go and get jabbed.
Fingers crossed for other towns following suit.
Sunny hugs coming your way - Neet 5 xxx

Yeah !! What a fun desk. Love the never before seen quote. Those little girl stamps are so adorable. I was able to order one awhile back. I promise next week will be DESK TIME. Truth be known I am at my wits end with this mess, but it was time over due. 2 of us cleaned out parents homes long ago *seems like yesterday) and we've too small of a home for all the extras. Exciting visits sure make one on the path to happiness once again. Happy for you and yours to have that fun. Oh Debbie's memorial pieces is a perfect tribute to SHAZ, what a treasure. Wishing more fun and excitement your way. Happy WOYWW day.

Great that you were able to meet up, Julia. Thank you for your comment and your commiserations over my diagnosis. Just got to keep going and jump through all the hoops again! I agree about the garden. Unfortunately all we seem to be getting at the moment is cloudy overcast days and it isn't nice enough to sit out. We could do with some more sunshine, and then rest assured, I shall be out there as much as I can! Last year was blissful. I'm glad the batch cooking/freezing tip was helpful. I agree - having to cook the rice on top of everything else is sometimes a step too far! I love quinoa and quite a lot of my recipes have it so I've always got batches in the freezer. It's very nutritious.

Happy belated WOYWW,

My name is Thomas White, from United states, i have been Herpes positive and it is just like been through hell; well special thanks to God almighty for using Dr Twaha, the greatest Herbal doctor in curing my herpes disease. I was diagnosed of this disease in the year 2004. Although I was taking my medications I was not myself. Until a few weeks ago. My friend came to me and told me that he saw many testimonies on how Dr. Twaha  cured people Herpes disease. Although I never believe in herbs, I said to myself "seeing is believing" I took his name and searched it on GOOGLE, I saw many testimonies myself. Quickly, I copied his email: drlregbeyen10000@gmail.com I emailed him, he gave me a form to fill which I did, then he sent me a message  and told me that he required some items in which he will use in preparing the cure for me and he told me that it will cost me some money which i sent to him because I need the cure urgent,  He bought the items and prepared a cure for me, then he sent the parcel to me through courier delivery service. I paid the courier services, I got my parcel, it was a bottle of ointment as described by Dr,Twaha After taking the ointment he told me to do, the herpes test and the result came out negative. Quickly I messaged him and told him what happened he congratulated me. I promised to tell the world about him. You can contact him with any problem  via email: ( drlregbeyen10000@gmail.com ) or contact him on WhatsApp +2349038518881 thank you Dr Twaha

Its a pleasure for me to write this testimony about how i got my Genital Herpes simplex been reading so many comments of some people who were cured from various diseases by Dr ubarlo but i never believed them. I was hurt and depressed so I was too curious and wanted to try Dr ubarlo, then i contacted him through his email when i contact him, he assured me 100% that he will heal me, i pleaded with him to help me out. My treatment was a great success, he healed me just as he promised. he sent me his medication and ask me to go for check up after one weeks of taking the medication. i agreed with him i took this medication and went for check up a , to my greatest surprise my result was negative after the treatment, i am really happy that i am cured and healthy again. I have waited for 3weeks to be very sure i was completely healed before writing this testimony. I did another blood test one week ago and it was still Herpes negative. so i guess its time i recommend anyone going through Herpes HSV-1 or HSV-2, HIV, HPV, Hepatitis B, Diabetes, Cancer reach him through Email drubarlohome@gmail.com OR add on whatsapp +2348119508814
