Whats On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 459

Since my last snow day at the weekend,(ahead of the day on which it actually did snow and cause some difficulties), I've managed to get to the scrapbook page I was whining about.
Oddly, neither the finished LO, cast aside at top right, or the one I'm just about to finish are the one I had plans to get to when the pile at left was ridiculous and I was making cards. Now the cards are part of the pile at left and the photo I was planning to scrap has been relegated to the big envelope again. It wasn't speaking to me after all that! The photo on this LO proves that I don't work chronologically...this is Miss D at almost 3. This year, she's actually 25. I'm enjoying doing more scrapbooking at home, although it does cause the floor to be covered in boxes of stickers, gems, embellishments. I put them back into their cupboards after supper last night because I had to do some work on the PC and found the amount of floor space for the wheelie chair was just too restricted!
Show us your self imposed restrictions by way of stash spreading....photo, post and link. Good of you.

  1. That photo of Miss D is so cute! your pile of cards looks impressive too. I hope we have finally seen the back of the snow for this winter.. had enough now (not that there was much here at all really) I did smile at your last comment though about the space for your wheelie chair... and looked around... what is floor space??!

  3. Morning Julia. Snow days can be quite useful, can't they? Great looking cards and LOs on the two posts... yes, I've been reading the previous one while refreshing the page...
    Take care. God bless.

  4. Had to smile, not at the LO or the cast away bits but at the wheelie chair mention. I trundle around my little craft room on my wheelie chair (despite saying I wouldn't do it when I had the new flooring in) and I had visions of both you and I in a kind of 'chariot race' on our chairs. Both trundling around trying to reach something before the other one. Can imagine the fun we would have doing just that - we'd be shaking with laughter.
Any wheelie chairs at the Crop?
The room must have had elastic sides as it seemed bigger than it really is.
    Fancy a race Julia?
    Hugs, Neet 2 xx
ps love the photo of Miss D at three (gosh that rhymes) xx

  5. great layouts regardless of where in the chronological lineup they are! I still have some from mine that need done and my son is 42 yo and daughter is 39! I am trying to pick up and put away after each project but that isn't working out too well. I always end up having to go back and extract something I just put up! Hope you have a great week! Vickie #6...got here early tonight!

  6. My stash spreading goes all over my bed so I HAVE to clear it up daily, have no choice! Nice to see some scrapping, I really must get back to mine I am nearly a year behind now! Thanks for the alphabet, it's on my desk, but with all the Easter diecutting it has had to take a back seat. Soon it will adorn a scrap page Honest. BJ#10

  8. Happy WOYWW. Well done for getting some LOs done. My plans to do some more (after getting 2 done last year!) seem to still be on hold. ATCs have taken over my life - they may be small, but they are addictive! Ali x #13

  9. I think I could all you a butterfly crafter this morning....join the gang my friend. I’m always putting one project aside to do another....usually it’s the customers sewing that pushes aside the fun things....but not always. If I’m playing happily with fun creations I have been known to ignore sewing on my to do rail 😀😀😀 but that’s just between you and me.
    Have a great week.
    Hugs,

  11. I would have liked to see your floor full of boxes just to compare it to mine!!! :^))) We really keep busy, don't we?

  12. I think the photo always has to speak to you to make the page flow, that's how I work too and I flit about all over the place. The last page I did was DD at about 2 and this week it's of a couple of weeks ago. It's always interesting to see how other people work. You certainly look industrious there. I can never find the right way of storing scrapbook stuff, I find it's different from card making stuff but I see to have it all over the place so I can sympathise with your floor problem.

  13. Well done for reducing the pile! and making cards! Sorry but no more snow days - you have too much fun!
Love that layout of Miss D..... where has the time flown?
Enjoy your week, especially if the sun decides to come out and start warming up things.

  14. Sweet photo of Miss D! You look as busy as ever, Julia. Nice to see an industrious desk. Mine is as bare as Mother Hubbard's cupboard today I'm afraid.

  18. Hi Julia, I'm impressed by everyone who scrapbooks. I know I don't have the necessary whatever it is to either make something that doesn't look like a pigs ear, or to even stick at it!Shocking how fast time passes though, isn't it? My Beloved Eldest is 44 this year! Love and Hugs, Shaz XxXx #5

  19. Think we should have WOYW'sW as people seem to have more than one desk or work surface. Sorry to mess the order up first link still didn't work but now cracked it and the second does. Have a good week. Ani #8&9

  20. Hi Julia, lovely photo of Miss D and I like the cloudy sky paper in the background too. I don't work chronologically either - I just choose photos to match the paper I've chosen to make a layout with ... it's a system that works for me. Funnily enough I'm enjoying scrapbooking more now too but it does mean I have some boxes out on the floor. Putting them away is inconvenient ... I'm not keen to bob up and down looking for stuff so I keep it near. If I had a wheelie chair I'd be more restricted. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #28

  21. sweet Picture of Miss D, I really need to start scrapping, I'd love to do an album for my wedding (16 years ago) and it would be a good reason I am sure to buy more supplies! This is my first week back at WOYWW, in probably about a year. DFun, thanks for hosting!

  22. G'Morning Julia, that is such a sweet photo of your dd. :) I never have scrapped in order. I think sometimes that is the fun of it, being able to play with what moves you at the time. (and everything I create makes me loose table and floor space haha) so, every project requires me to pick up after or I would not walk through here anymore it would look like an episode of hoarders or something. ~Stacy #31

  23. Great layouts you've been doing and I think it's as long as your using the pictures up it doesn't matter when you scrap them. Lol over your floor space, I'm sure it happens all the time to lots of people. Fell asleep early last nite so joining up late hugs Nikki

  24. The scrapbooking never ends and it's so fun to go back and admire the older photos and scrap with a new clearer head. Great busy desk! Dorlene #33

  25. Julia, you scrap like me; I have stuff everywhere to where I run out of room and have to be on the floor using my Big Shot! I am so glad you are getting Miss D scrapped after all these years! That also sounds like me. I have done some pages from a 1980s trip lately! I have another one also to scrap from 1989! Oh, well , no time limit! Right? Thanks for hostessing us. It is fun to see what everyone is doing.

  26. What a little cutie. I used to scrap i a very random fashion too.
Filling your kitchen table with the contents of your larder cupboard does prove to be quite restrictive when it comes to crafting there. It seemed like such a good idea when I started. I have now run out of steam and started avoidance tactics!

  27. Hi julia, I started out with scrapbooking over 10 years ago but have evolved into art journaling which is more my cup of tea but who knows in time, keep up the good work, don't know whether your daughter appriciates been shown like that to the world lol, Vicky

  28. I don't scrap chornologically either. The layouts I just finished are 2016ish and 1963ish lol. Tell the story when it suits you : D.

  29. Great layout. I used to scrapbook chronologically but now I am so far behind it would be best just to get a page done. :-)

  30. Hi Julia, I really want with it yest as I forgot to comment on your post very unlike me... am dyouve beaten me and commented on mine too! Your comment was apt as am tad stressed but notmnit really about my coming plans but rather dad and othe roressing concerns. The Lord knows somgive then to Him. Pray you’re keeping ok.. you never say...
Smiled totally at how you did not what you’d planned at all. So like me .. the card I shared was my second attempt... the first has been relegated to the regular card pile ie not worthy of my very special dad.
Funny aren’t we, did two sides too... didn’t like first one. It’s binned. I write poems of sorts for insides or borrow I borrowed first one hence the ditching reform my own.
Have a great rest of the week. I’m going to go take all week to get around I suspect. Nice to be WOYWWing do miss the outing!
