Well Deskers, even I'm feeling of a nervous disposition today. Just look at the state of this. I was preparing baskets of 'ingredients' for a workshop at the same time as making the cards and writing the instructions - which is a hideous last minute way to do it...total mojo blocker I can tell you. I was also trying to finish a 3d card for LLJ - she had a birthday last weekend. This photo features afternoon sun - I was about to run out and help Mr Dunnit at work and realised that having had some time off, I might end the day being tired and emotional and miss a good photo op!
And I was right. It clouded over for the hundredth time not long after while I was shutting windows and doors and getting ready to leave. Work is the reason for all this haste and mess too. The wrist injury is all but gone, but seriously stopped me in my tracks for nearly a week. Well, it was never going to by my fault was it!
Share will you - show us your messy, tidy, cluttered, vacant works spaces. We need to know what you've got in case we need to have it too!
Put WOYWW in your post title and link here, couldn't be easier.
Oh - and is it too soon to point out the page for the October WOYWW Crop is open if anyone would like to leave a comment indicating their intentions? Thank you!
Well its a good thing you had foresight and I love this view, doesnt give me vertigo LOL. Love the garden look at the back. Well we all have our ways of preparing and if its works with you then be it so. YOu're getting a collection of scissors going there

It's nice to read your injury is nearly healed. And I was a bit surprised by your desk. Gotta admit it's very "worked in."
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm sure it's an optical illusion, but is that a lake that landed in your back yard due to rain? Have a great day and wonderful weekend, dear.
Great desk today, very busy... I'm sure it will be sorted out soon...mine is looking a bit empty but I did "put away" the stash from the show at the weekend. (well, as away as it gets).. glad you're back in action again after the wrist injury.
ReplyDeleteI like your busy desk.looks very inviting with the sun coming in.We are in Winter here, so not so much sun as we are used to here in Oz.
ReplyDeleteglad your arm is almost back to normal; but i have to say i wouldnt be able to work out on your busy desk, it would stress me out until it was tidy....i dunno why cos when i had a desk in the living room it was often that messy and i could just leave it but now i have the craft room i cant?!? very odd i am!

Oh my thingymabob for holding my wotsits is everso much nicer than yours ... na-na-ne-na-nah!!!!! LOL ... thought my desk was, er, much used this week but it kinda, sorta looks almost tidy compared to yours! Glad you arm is improving and you can soon get back to crafting proper. Much love dear lady xXx Love Debbie #13
ReplyDeleteIt is a landscape of crafting beauty, with peaks, valleys and rolling foothills....you know, like the Alps :-)
ReplyDeleteI loves my card, I does, thank you!
Hugs, LLJ 14 xx
Although Twiglet is fast giving me a reputation as a neurotic sorter of crafting apparel, a tidy desk is an idle desk I say!! Looks like lots of fun and hard work goes in to crafting a workdesk that busy!x
ReplyDeleteYou certainly do have rather a lot of stash to hand today Julia.....You can't do what you do without it so it can't be a mess can it? :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the wrist is improved and life is returning to it's normal busy state. Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
I didn't even manage a photo of my desk today so I don't mind at all that yours is lovely and busy. I love LLJs card too! Clever old you with all the lights and everything!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week

Hi Julia...must say I love what LLJ wrote referring to your desk...but seriously you do have a lovely position; a garden view and sunshine - I love it. Glad to read your hand is back to good health and your 'messy' desk is proof. Enjoy your week Cheers RobynO#22
ReplyDeleteGlad your wrist is healing - takes ages doesnt it ? I dropped the hoover on my foot two weeks ago and didn't really notice at the time but now it blinking hurts!
ReplyDeleteHope you managed to get all that you needed to done xx Have a great week. Soojay 24
I'm glad your wrist is better. Now it's catching up time I suppose.
ReplyDeleteAs for your desk.... what a glorious mess! Wonderful! I do hope you had it all sorted out on time.
Wonderful to see the sun is shining (even if it is just for a little while). The world looks so much better in sunlight!
Have a great week,
Lisca#25
So glad your wrist is better. I love the card you made Jan, just popped over and had a look at it - also looks like you were having a great time with the Pimms! Enjoy the rest of the week,
ReplyDeleteDiana #26
oops! Can you please remove my link Julia. I was trying to link up PJ as a favour and somehow managed to add myself - sans desk!
ReplyDeleteDi x
First, please remove #27.
ReplyDeleteYour desk is well... rather untidy and I love it! We all gte this way but how often do we admit it? I hope you were able to regain some sanity and get your workshop together and card made. Glad to hear your wrist is healed. So wish I could attend the Oct crop.
Well I don't know about mojo block. It all looks quite exciting to me. So glad to hear that your injury is nearly healed. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, just put our names on the October crop list. Love your desk- I don't feel quite so bad about the state of mine now, lol. It's a complete riot of creativity- yours, I mean, mine is just an explosion in a craft factory.Glad to hear the arm is improving, it comes as a bit of a shock how restricting it is, not to mention painful. Love & hugs, xxxxx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a busy desk this morning girl! I would be losing things right and left...how do you find anything? Good luck with the baskets! Glenda #34
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the wrist is almost better. I'm enjoying not having that particular mojo blocker at the moment. Another month before I get back to classes.
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, your Stickles holder, pretty in the light from the window, looks perilously close to the edge of your desk. Nice to know your wrist is better and hope the your first day back at work went well. Have a great week and that the workshop goes well. Hugs, Elizabeth x #37
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely view you have from your workspace. Pleased to hear the writst is better now. Have a good week, Karen #40
ReplyDeleteI guess being busy is the story of our society these days. I hope you get it all done without much stress. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThat's not messy Julia, it's creativity bursting forth ha ha, i find I work best in a but of a mess, just as well really.
ReplyDeleteJill #32
Oh my word Julia, I'm tired just reading your post. I may even have to lie down or at least have yet another cuppa.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was busy until visiting you.
Glad to hear your wrist is better and that you are having the same weather as us. I know that sounds nasty but when I see that divide on the weather forecast where down south is having 27 degrees and we've got 11 it makes me want to weep.
Anyway... good luck with all of your projects and I hope you have a great creative week ahead. Thanks for hosting ;D

Isn't it crazy how doing something that doesn't seem like a huge deal, like your wrist injury, can just take you down? I'm so happy to see this desk, because the papers, baskets, inks and goodies says this is one happy, crafty artist who doesn't let a job and an injury stop her creativity. Loving what you do means you're going to get back to your happy place and make magic. Have a wonderful week. Sandy Leigh
ReplyDeleteYour desk today is arranged in the language I understand. Your class participants will be inspired and awed I am sure. Keep smiling and creating.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sunny creative mess!
ReplyDeleteYour desk is looking creatively messy! I am glad your wrist has healed. I am horrible at last minute cards. Unless of course they're not required! April
ReplyDeleteWow! And while I'm good at working in such a state; I'd be worried the baskets would topple and then require more sorting. Thats why mine are always on the floor! LOL! (err, and as I'm so graceful, they seem to get toppled anyway...)
ReplyDeleteThe afternoon sun streaming through your window is so inviting, what a lush and green view......oh the desk? Well, you have been busy creating, have you not??
ReplyDeletehi Julia my table looks like you desk more often than not! Once again I have taken on more than I can chew and have stuff everywhere as I struggle to get everything done ! Don't think I'll ever change though :-) Anne x #50
ReplyDeleteYay for Sunshine on your desk!
ReplyDeleteMine is just as crazy-messy as yours, so you are definitely not alone (in fact, I know few crafters whose desks are tidy more than once in a blue moon!).
I like that you can multi-task, making and planning all at once - though from experience, I do know that is a stressful way to work. Hope it has all got sorted out now and you are ready!
There are more than one or two photos on my post today... sorry... Still, I've finished one project and got a lot done with another, so I kind-of showed off a little; is that ok? :-D
Have a good rest-of-the week!
Lizzie (#51 this week)
Wow, your desk is looking very creative, Julia! And I love your view to the garden!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!
Hugs, peggy aplSEEDS
Well it sure looked sunny and bright when you snapped that pic. Sure doesn't look like rain. I love seeing all the goodies out on your desk. The tube spinner thingy and the glue holder look really interesting. TTFN Peg R 53
ReplyDeleteFound my way here (by way of Lizzie Made) and will be bookmarking for next week. I really do love a 'nose' at what fellow crafters have been working on. I hope you managed to have everything ready in time! :)
