This post is bought to you by the miracle of scheduling and erm, me remembering to do it. I'm away today, seeing my beloved parents and it's an early start. But it's OK, by the time I get there, I'll have shaken off the early morning feeling and be my usual *lovely* self!
Now, you see Copics. Unused to the point that I could have written my name in the dust on the lid. Shocking huh. Prolly will remain unused too - I have to move them off the desk because the sun will get to them otherwise - and if it's not in my line of vision...well, you know. The iPad stand is stuffed with half made or finished cards that I'm pondering. The scrapbook paper peeking out at the forefront has a marvellous legal lined but aged page print on the reverse and I used that for something. I can't remember what, but it's in the 'pondering pile' so am frightened to put the paper away because I may not have finished with it! You can also see my desk lamp in the 'deployed' position. Yep, back at work for Mr Dunnit makes me a night time crafter again. Watch out for some slightly wonky colour matching!
Show and tell then. It's easy, and if you want to be blinded by exactly how to - there's a link at the top of this page. We'll stumble around and visit, and where possible, leave you a comment. Blatant advertising and self promotion will yield few comments, it's about your desk people, not what you're selling. And if you could turn off word verification - my word, that helps too! I'll be late, but keep the kettle warm.
Have a great day, Julia. Enjoy the day out. Gorgeous looking young lady lying on your desk there!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

I love my copics and can't believe you don't love yours. But the it is a serious commitment to color in with them, and I don't do it every time, cause ts not just a quick swoop of color and I do like fast sometimes
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the tall ships. Love the concept. I could see trying to talk dd and DS into working alongside each other...or talking DH into letting them :). But such a great idea. Making a mental note to go see them next time.
Not sure whats right.. Have fun with your parents? Hang in there? Gook luck? You deide....
Happy WOYWW

I never got into copics but have always been amazed at peoples collections. Night time crafting is enjoyed the world over and makes for some fun combinations. Enjoy your time with your parents.

Morning, Julia - enjoy what promises to be another glorious day in Blightie. I'll be back for a nosey with you and as many other desks as poss, after breakfast and during the next couple of days. Chris # 34 xx
ReplyDeleteHave a great day with your folks and safe travels. I up early as well cos back to looking after grandchildren I spoke too soon! Eldest is poorly and cannot go to school. So grandmama to the rescue! Like the lady on your desk. Anne x # 32
ReplyDeleteI too am a night crafter...I have a daylight bulb to help with the colour matching issues...Not perfect, but it helps. Hope you found your happy self. I don't do mornings well. Early ones even less well...
ReplyDeleteUnused Copics...SHOCK...HORROR!!!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as a pen addict that came as a terrible shock to the system.
Hope you have a great day with the parents.
Toni xx
I agree, the word verification has to go. And then they have to approve your comment before they post it. What's that about??? I like the idea of the pondering pile. Believe I may borrow that as I always just see my pile as things I want to get to but not right now. If I put the stuff away I will forget about it and most likely where I put it! Diane #16
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your folks. Looking at your desk I have pen envy!!
ReplyDeleteHugs

Hope you have a wonderful time visiting your parents. Love the look of the dolly lady, will be interested to see how you make it Christmassy. I would kill for that many felt pens. You should use them and colour everything in sight :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

A lovely creative desk as always Julia. Hope the sun is shinning this morning where you are . Happy woyww Jill #17
ReplyDeleteOh your poor markers. It's simple you need a bigger desk so you can keep everything out on show. I wonder how big that would be? Karen #41
ReplyDeleteLoving the cards on your iPod stand Julia! Your poor Copics...better get back to work with them soon!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with your parents!

I think I could sit around here all day and still not see everything on your desk. I love the prima girly stamps and all those lovely pens.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and lots of happy crafting, Angela x 44
Hope you're having a good day, Julia, with your parents - hope you managed to arrive as your usual lovely self! (I'm sure you did - lol!). Lovely mix of finished, half finished, things to ponder on your desk. You need to use those copics - don't put them out of sight, just out of the sun! xx
ReplyDeleteLove dropping in to visit. Confirms there are others like me with lots oging on. No link as I dont have a blog, thinking about. I love how you say it as it is. No flim flam.
ReplyDeleteG'day Julia. I hope you had a lovely day with yr parents. Haha I love the messy desk there with WIP....mine is way often the same!
ReplyDeleteOh heck! Hope you don't mind me posting a grumble about a company duping me, did it on here to bring to attention of as many as I could. Was hoping you would be home for me to ask.
ReplyDeleteNevermind, I hope you are having a lovely time visiting the parents, bet they have a real royal welcome waiting for you. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day away. Those Copics look so pretty in their case like that. Hope you do use them.Fab desk as always fun and full. Take care Zo xx
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the time with your parents and take care in traveling. I don't do well with markers so whatever I have collects dust. Cute stamp too! Glenda #52
ReplyDeleteHi Julia! Hope you had a wonderful visit with your parents! Talking about X-mas already? It's way to early for me to do that... but I see Christmas-cards and crafts popping up on several blogs so I guess it's time. Happy woyww, Marit #53
ReplyDeleteHope you have had fun visiting with your parents. Your desk does look inviting to play with the goodies on it as for the dust on the copics mine are probably worse and haven't been used in light years. Hhhmmm christmas girlie, I still have mine to finish that got started at the end of last year, but the big C is approaching fast.
ReplyDeleteHugs Eliza, Yoda & Flat Susan.
happy WOYWW
heheh your desk looks how my head feels! have a lovely day out, happy WOYWW :o) Annie C #57
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only person with dusty Copic markers. I need to move them back to my desk so I will use them. Have a great time with your parents. #56
ReplyDeleteAmazing how so much can be happening and you aren't even there to orchestrate it. Perhaps you'll come back from your outing and the faeries will have finished up your projects and neatened up the place for you too!
ReplyDeleteAngie #61
Evening Julia, and happy WOYWW or should I say...happy family day, hope you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves and had a lovely break ready to come back to your 'messy' desk and finish off some cards. Cheers RobynO#60
ReplyDeleteHave fun at your parents!
ReplyDeleteIt's ages since I joined in - had a big tidy up at the weekend so decided it was time to get back into WOYWW again.
ReplyDeleteHelen x
it's been a while! Love the tape on the copics to identify them, great idea! Have a nice visit with your parents! -Lindsay #64
ReplyDeleteWith our husbands back to work, I see lots of crafting in our futures. Loved your adventure with the Tall Ships. Thank you for sharing. Creative Blessings! Kelly #67
ReplyDeleteWow! ou do have a lot going on, and to ponder on! I admit to being shocked about the Copics!! I've stayed away, cuz I'll want them all, and I just couldn't swing that! The Distress Markers are investment enough! (Oh, and the full Prismacolor Pencil set) Have a great Visit with your Parents.
ReplyDeleteI love that girly image! Reminds me of the pictures on the front of the sewing patterns! Have a great week. x
ReplyDeleteWow! I like your project. Looking good.
ReplyDelete#70
Have to admit, I'm not a copic coloring kinda gal myself--but my daughter took to it straight away, after looking up a youtube video on how to use them properly!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek, Julia, and enjoy your day!

Wow, look at all those Copics, and I am raving about the few I just bought! Send them my way, Julia and you'll have less dust to clean off your desk, haha!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have been having a lot of crafty fun : D. I've been making a concentrated effort to use more of the stuff that doesn't get used, so I've been fetching things off shelves before hand. Very unlike me, but it might work for you and your copics lol.

ReplyDeleteCopics are tricky for me...I need to watch more videos! Love all the fun stuff on your table. Nope not all Christmas, haha
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your parents!
Tam
I love the idea of your "pondering pile," lol.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely refuse to buy even a single Copic marker. Just one is enough to start a collection and they're $7 each around here! So I just keep reminding myself I've got plenty of other things to do. :-)
Your desk looks wonderfully busy this week, even without Christmas stuff.
Happy creating and happy woyww,
Sandy #23
I came back to comment on your comment - there are loads of the old paperartsy stamps I don't have!! (hence them being in the smallest box, but I have ambitions!)
ReplyDeleteHi Julia! I am here, late. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all your markers and your busy looking desk. Have a great week!
Hi Julia, I'm here late too. Hope you had a lovely day with your parents. That's an enviable collection of Copics on your desk and I like the little I can see of the design paper at the bottom of the screen. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #78
ReplyDeleteHope you had a marvelous day with your parents. Your desk is intriguing as always -- a peek of some cards and fun stamps, etc. Hope it's been a happy WOYWW! ~ Laura #62
ReplyDeleteLovely busy desk, Julia. I hope you had a nice day with your parents. I'm not playing WOYWW this week because there's nothing on my desk - I've had rather a bad week health wise and have been spending some time while resting on the recliner, re-installing photos on my blog that had got corrupted, and starting to create some new online albums of my work on Pinterest in the hope of getting a bit more exposure.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week.
Shoshi
hi Julia,
ReplyDeletelong time no play. Wednesdays just always used to sneak by . NOT Today
I'M HERE! I MADE IT! Only just I admit .... it's all this running .... makes one out of breath!
ReplyDeleteLove those stamps - when I saw one of the girls at the Crop using them I fell in love. Look forward to seeing the completed cards.
Hope you had a good visit with your parents, nothing like a bit of quality time together.
Bishopsmate #83
Julia, so sorry I'm just now getting around to the desks! After a crazy and wild Tuesday night, I had a crazy and wild Wednesday. I'm so glad you mentioned night-time crafting. I have a day job, and night-time crafting...if I have the energy...is what I do. It's hard sometimes, and my family doesn't want me holed away in my crafty corner all weekend either. And all this canning is cutting into my crafty time too. But one of these Saturdays, I'm just going to have an entire day crafting--that's the dream anyway. Hugs! Have a wonderful visit with your parents. Sandy Leigh
ReplyDeleteI really like the Julie Nutting dolls, but have resisted thus far!
ReplyDeleteFirst time linking here, hope not the last.
ReplyDeleteYour desk is a MESS! I love it! I'm like you - if I don't see - I won't remember I have it. That's why I put everything in drawers. If I didn't I'd never buy anything new! LOL
ReplyDeleteApril
I hope you had a lovely day with your parents!
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks just like mine. When I sort things away, I am always searching...
Cheers

My pondering pile can grow quite large if at one point I don't sit with a few of the items in front of me and force myself to do something with them now! Even more challenging to use some of my stash of diecuts / cut outs on it.
ReplyDeleteUsually this sort of action leaves me with 2 new pretty pieces of paper (for background, a small card, to use for diecuts) and some new diecuts or cut outs...A never ending story.
Thank you for hosting the WOYWW - it is inspiring to see new work, and other desks and new machines (I guess your WOYWW also keeps the economy going), and also meet new people.
Debbie / Daqa.
