What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 522

The post WOYWW Crop edition. Oh my word, what a day. Lots of you will have seen it all on Facebook, and there are lots photos on lots of blogs, so I’m only going to bore you with a handful that I haven’t shown anywhere else yet. Let’s hear it for Jo and Annie, they worked so hard and made it a fabulous day. Mostly, we celebrated WOYWW the group, community, the support, the bonhomie. We celebrated with chat, hugs, cake, and photos.
Taking photos of the people taking photos....seriously helpful husbands

After a fabulous lunch, there was a quiz. It was a fun journey around some of our blogs. Of course, I didn’t recognise my own blog from the clue. While I had my back turned because I was chatting and being sociable, a table was covered in glasses of bubbly and after the sweetest words from Jo, there was a cake!

It all became a bit emotional then, and I bet somewhere there are pics of me crying out of one eye, I remember looking up from cutting the cake and feeling distinctly over-photographed! There was a full on, proper real cake topper too, and I photographed it at home after a good polishing...
Be warned gentle Deskers, you may never hear the end of it. Just like this weekly thing. I think we decided that it was fun enough to carry on with...so here, in a post Crop haze is my desk. Can you see the haze of bonhomie hanging over it? It’s palpable, believe me.
I thought it was quite tidy, but it’s more just, well, full. Am doing that five minutes here and there thing and I’m not good at it. Or tidying, but you know that! Seriously long post, sorry to hold you up. Please link and show and tell and share. Put WOYWW in your blog post title so that we can find it easily, link here as usual. Thank you!

  6. Well Julia, that is one big one over so here's to the next one. This was indeed a milestone event and what a lovely touch to have a toast to ten years of something you started way back in 2009 (have I got that right?) I am so glad Jo (Pritchard) got me to join in - I now have a huge circle of friends on the internet and some I have now met in person.
Wasn't the room joyous? When I came in I instantly felt "wanted" if you get what I mean. It was a room filed with love. And that is all down to one lady - You! With help from your bestie of course.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for starting and carrying on with this 'baby' of yours who will be a teenager before we know it.
    Hugs, Neet 5 xxxxxxxxxx

  7. What a day eh? And even with all the hard work we’ve said, if wanted, we would consider doing it all again. It was so lovely that so many could get to it with us being pretty central. We will see eh?
    Hugs,

It was so wonderful to meet everyone for the first time and experience the outpouring of love and support. It was a little bit like meeting celebrities LOL! 27. Thank you for your comment, Julia - I'm not joining in WOYWW this week because nothing new to report except that my PIP application went off yesterday so now we've just got to wait. Thank you for your birthday and anniversary wishes - yes, lots to celebrate in May! Thank you also for the info about the Angelina fibres, and yes, I know about fusing them - they were fused for this card. Lol at your friend's wall of stoma supplies! I've got masses of boxes that I keep craft stuff in too!

So glad you all had such a good time at the crop. What a lovely cake, and the crown well deserved!

  35. What a fabulous crop you all had!! I'm so envious I live "across the pond" and to the other side of the country! I love all the pictures I've seen as I visit the desks. I had to laugh at the moniker "Snoop Queen"!! I appreciate you giving all of us such a wonderful venue to get to know each other even if it's through cyberspace. Have a fabulous week!

  38. I so enjoyed seeing all the photos, here and on other's blogs (and facebook.) And of course you cried a bit, I would have too - it's the feeling of being among old friends and feeling loved (and you ARE loved!) I could not hug you in person but will go on hugging you digitally for many more years! Love, Marit #28

  39. Oh yes, Julia, what a day! Thoroughly good fun but over all too soon. Jo and Annie did a sterling job making it the great day it was - all that chat, hugs, cake, hugs, food, cake and chat - brilliant! Have pinched the pic of the guys - the EM will be delighted to see it. I'd have been a blubbering wreck too after Jo's speech but you so deserve the all accolades received - and the tiara too. Hugs, Elizabeth x #37
